Sun tiger cloak - cloak - T2
A cloak made from sun tiger hide. Durable, flexible, and stylish.
This particular cloak was made by an untrained tailor and an initiate enchanter.
Enchantments
Durability 1, self repair 1, gathering
Kennon donned his new cloak, staring at it in awe. This thing was bullet proof. Fire proof in the extreme. It was amazing. He loved it.
Bev smiled as he tried it out.
It had taken Bev most of the day. But that was mostly because cloth enchanting was new to her. She was also busy with the magic lessons, and generally taking it easy. They had both gotten a good deal of rest. They had been working hard. Today they simply enjoyed their progress.
Kennon let out a long relived sigh.
Bev simply looked around in silence.
“Is it just me? Or is the mana getting denser?”
Kennon felt it too. Ever since they arrived it felt like more and more mana was gathering in the realm. He had never heard of that happening before. But he didn’t like it. Higher mana tended to mean stronger beasts.
A wicked grin split his face. He couldn’t wait till the next fight. They needed levels. On that note.
“Bev, I think we should redo our soul skills.”
“I know what you mean. We have progressed a lot. We can probably remake them even better.”
A few ideas were shared, then they went and laid in their beds.
They entered into the soul fugue, and the first thing they did was tear apart everything except mental enhancement.
They wanted to do this right. To get all their skills rebuilt perfectly. To do that they needed all the mental strength they could get.
After they channeled all their power into mental enhancement they took a moment to observe the effects.
65 soul points focused entirely on the mind was outstanding. Soul fire seemed to leap to their command.
While they worked they realized that the power they funneled into their bond was permanent. Not that they would remove it. Even the idea of it sickened them.
First things first, they rebuilt Kennon’s mental enhancement. They had already gotten Bev’s to the minimum size. So they knew they could do the same for Kennon.
As they worked it was as if they were one mind. Whatever they weaved was under the power of two minds. Each heavily enhanced.
They started with the cheap, and easy skills. Physical empowerment. Sense enhancement. Soul sight.
Each time pulling just enough soul fire from mental enhancement to build the skill.
Soul sight took quite a bit of work to get perfect. But they did it.
Next was mana sight. Cheap. But last time they only reached twenty percent effectiveness.
It was impossible. They tried to get it perfect. But the weaving was too much. Even with the mental enhancement it was like trying to thread a needle with a hammer. They thought they did better. But they would have to wait till they awoke to get the numbers.
Next came the single largest skill they had. Skin reinforcement. It had taken up a whole ten points. They hoped to get it down to five.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Time had little meaning in this state. But it felt like it took them hours to rebuild the skill. But they did it. It was perfect. Or so at least close enough. The system kept telling them about minor errors. But frankly they had to have been microscopic since they could not see them.
After that it was fairly routine. Trajectory intuition and mana manipulation. Then filling the enhancement skills with power.
It was almost painful, taking that much energy away from their minds. But when they were done they felt far stronger. They had extra energy added to all their enhancement skills.
Then they awoke.
They were surprised to see that the sun had only just set. It felt like they had taken far longer. But without delay they checked their status pages.

They smiled. They also switched around their inscriptions a bit. Kennon replaced the iron clad will of the system that held identify in place with his own version.
And naturally he put fire ball and arc in their places of honor inscribed upon his core.
They had grown significantly. And they felt ready to do some more exploration, and hunting.
Bev had practiced with shield, trying to make barriers to prevent attacks from reaching them. And learned that durability aura applied to equipment as well.
Kennon tested the limits of mage armor. It wasn’t the worst. And tried to predict the effects of buffet. Which seemed impossible.
While going over their status pages though they noticed something odd.
Why did they have negative system points?
Thank you for sharing my journey. To help me walk it I have a set up. It is 20 chapters ahead and releases at the same time as the Royal Road chapters.
