Chapter Sixteen Can We Go Now

  “Should I do something?”

  “Nah, they have it covered.”

Hans and Herald had been sitting in silence between them. As for background noise, that was plenty. John was screaming and trying to run for the door which is hard to perform when one has been repeatedly beaten by police and is blindfolded.

  “Get off me you weirdos!”

Batons had been thrown about before eventually; they ended up putting him back on the ground. So much adrenaline had been going through his veins that he felt almost like he was flying through the air. That was probably because he was making the ground below his feet crumble away as a form of stopping perusal.

“Just throw him in a cell with the others.”

“Why does he have a blindfold?”

“He must be an evil spirit of some kind because he won’t stop [redacted] stop moving.”

“Fine, throw him in the cell.”

Loosy was looking at the bunch. He knew that John and Javier were common thugs, Poji was slightly better and so were the two Germans, but they were crooks all the same and German people were barred from entrance into Japan.

“What are we going to do with the bunch of you?”

John leaned over to speak with Poji.

“If that kid doesn’t get out of there, we’re fucked. Like, fucked as a raccoon off the side of the interstate.”

That brought a laugh to Poji before he went back to the matter at hand.

  “What about Javier?”

“Sure, we need him for the heist but to put it simply, we need to figure out how to get that kid out of there.”

Little did that merry battalion of knuckleheads know, they were stuck with a listening device in the form of a man pretending to be there for [redacted].
