The scene changed.
One bubble after another shattered, and the invisible Thief took away the released universe.
"The Thief behind the scenes used the 'incomplete' state of the universes to infiltrate them and help them become complete."
Little Mortal asked in confusion,
"Help them?"
The scene zoomed inside a bubble.
On a Planet, beside a woman, suddenly a treasure manifested.
Little Mortal shouted in shock,
"Birth treasure!
Wait no!
That ominous feeling!
No way!"
Lilith nodded,
"Indeed, an evil birth treasure.
The Thief used the removed part of the incomplete higher beings, which was the 'Evil' part, to create an evil item to be paired with them.
What in this era we know as Evil birth treasures."
The woman on the scene, who seemed to be excited, as if she had found her missing part,
was suddenly attacked by the hideous birth treasure, which was an age restriction scene that wasn't shown.
Little Mortal appeared beside Lilith and shook his head,
"The world law's solution actually backfired...
And who knew evil birth treasures are the first generation, and the normal birth treasures are the generation after them?"
Lilith nodded,
"Yes, and that's why, to stop such a mistake in the future, Fate law was born from the world law itself.
And as we know, Fate works mysteriously; no law rules it, and it won't follow any specific patterns.
Fate is a law to keep things 'in place', in a good way.
It was after the birth of the 'Fate Law' that higher beings from incomplete universes received the opportunity to be reborn on the mainland after sacrificing their universe,
And most of them didn't receive any more evil birth treasure.
As though fate was trying to make it up to them for being forced to be 'incomplete', but at the same time, there was a reason for Evil birth treasures to be born from time to time."
Little Mortal snorted,
"Well, it messed up even worse than world law if you ask me, and in the process, the world law 'lost' part of itself to create Fate.
Anyway, how was the main problem taken care of?
Did Fate arrest the thief?"
Lilith waved her hand, and a group of figures appeared.
She was one of them.
"If the thief were caught, I wouldn't be here.
First, to deal with evil birth treasures, we, the 'Ancient Ones', were born as the managers of the mainlands, with all the memories that I am showing you.
So we immediately knew, each of us has the responsibility of gathering universes with our mainland, and cleaning up any evil birth treasure born in them."
The scene changed again.
Now the bubbles connected to the mainland were a mix of cracked bubbles and complete bubbles.
"After our creation, world law let each universe be born with a complete higher being, and a birth treasure as a partner, so later on, the force in the dark can't use any loopholes."
Little Mortal pointed at the cracked bubbles,
"But why is there still an incomplete universe in the mix ?"
Lilith furrowed,
"The only thing I know is that world law was going to stop the birth of incomplete universes,
But Fate didn't allow it for an unknown reason.
So the cycle of evil birth treasures killing higher beings of their universes, and us killing them, continued.
Just the rate was lower than the start when every incomplete higher being would receive one."
The scene changed.
A big black head with an ominous aura was wreaking havoc everywhere.
Little Mortal gasped,
"Oh my goodness!
This one exactly looks like my employee in his younger years.
Just a little bigger."
Lilith rolled her eyes at him,
"Because it is your employee, Lubo."
Little Mortal gasped,
"No way!
This dude is so old!
And why are you all ganging up on it?
I don't remember it being this strong the first time I saw it...
Wait! This is Lubo's origin story!"
The corner of Lilith's mouth twitched,
"It was that 'unknown force' that caused Lubo to be born.
Even we, the Ancient Ones, didn't know that each time we destroyed an evil birth treasure before it killed the higher being, or after it killed its partner and destroyed the universe, something would remain."
Little Mortal by the side, nodded,
"Resentment!
That's what will remain behind from 'My kind', and the birth treasure that was forced to be 'evil' and kill its partner!
Even from our incomplete universe itself, some resentment might remain!
It is no joke if too much of it is gathered..."
Lilith sighed,
"That's why I never understood why Fate didn't let this be stopped.
Why did it keep supporting the birth of more incomplete universes...?
And in the end, the accumulated resentment leads to the creation of Lubo.
The evil birth treasure born from all the resentment left behind, which had the law of devour."
In the scene, Lubo was on a rampage.
Swallowing one 'Ancient One' after another.
And after eating each one, it would get bigger and stronger.
"At that time, we didn't know that anyone Lubo killed couldn't be resurrected anymore.
It was as though they were entirely devoured alongside part of the fundamental law of our world."
In the scene, a group of ignorant managers sacrificed themselves without fear, with the thought of resurrection.
Each with their death affected Lubo.
One erased part of Lubo's memory,
One reversed time and made it weak,
One froze it,
And the rest tried to seal it.
But a sudden change took place.
Evil birth treasures started manifesting in batches in different incomplete universes, as if they were waiting for an opportunity.
The already cracked protective bubble of one incomplete universe after another shattered and then disappeared.
The Ancient Ones tried their best to seal Lubo as fast as possible, and those who were still alive hurried to stop the riot.
But they all died mysteriously one by one!
Lilith said in a heavy tone,
"The invisible thief was back, but this time not only for stealing, but to kill.
Many of us died to an entity we couldn't see,
And couldn't feel.
On th-"
Before finishing her sentence, Lilith was interrupted by Little Mortal's shout,
"Are you guys blind!
The dude is right over there!
Just don't go there, he is just standing there without moving!"
Lilith, while surprised by the sudden shout,
Looked at the scene and paused it.
This was the record directly from the world law's 'archive'.
So it was natural for her not to see everything in it.
"Where ?"
Asked Lilith in confusion.
Little Mortal pointed above Lubo, which was sealed by a stern-looking old man in white armor.
"There is one over there above the old man's head!
He was going to attack Lubo before you paused the scene."
And sure enough, the moment Lilith played the scene,
Something hit Lubo from above, and all of the seals on it broke while the stern-looking old man spitting out a mouthful of blood.
Lilith asked in shock,
"You can see the enemy?"
"Yep.
Look, that girl in green is next.
She is moving toward someone who is not moving from the spot he is at, like the rest."
And as he pointed at the crowd one by one, they actually died one by one.
Mostly being cut down with an invisible sharp weapon.
Lilith was dumbfounded.
But when she thought of how he could turn invisible too, she thought of a possibility,
"Your law is the same as the 'enemy', right?"
Little Mortal, while rubbing his chin, shook his head,
"Nah, they are just using something.
Each one of your comrades is dying at the hands of a different one.
If I'm not wrong, these 'invisible' enemies are active in one dimension higher, and using something to activate the same law as me on their weapon and themselves temporarily to turn invisible."
Lilith paused the scene again,
"Can you explain it in a way that I can understand ?"
Little Mortal nodded,
"Yeah.
About their weapon and outfit, I won't tell you, that's classified information.
But about higher dimensions,
I remember seeing a good example on YouTube once.
The one who explained it said this.
'Imagine you are an ant, on a white paper.
You know what left and right are.
You know what forward and backward are, too.
Which is two dimensions, X and Y.
But you have no understanding of up and down, which is the third dimension.
So, if an object comes to your view from the third dimension, what do you see if you are that ant?"
Lilith didn't mind the classified information part and answered immediately,
"A line."
"Yes, a line.
But that's what you see as a 2-dimensional creature.
What if you are a creature who can understand and interact with four dimensions?
What do you see if an unknown creature uses the 5th or 6th dimension to interact with you?"
Lilith was enlightened,
"I might see nothing.
And like that ant, I am at the mercy of the creatures from a higher dimension!
That's why we died so easily that day without knowing how..."
Little Mortal said thoughtfully,
"Let me guess,
World law in certain places was 'missing' a part due to these 'thieves' taking away universes and Lubo devouring the law.
Which helped the thieves to even open a 'door' to enter this lower dimension?
You guys were basically hopeless because your enemy could perceive and manipulate aspects of reality that you couldn't fathom.
If my guess is correct, to stop the disaster, world law came up with the 'Sandwich' plan!"
Lilith, who couldn't really keep up with the way he talks, took a deep breath and resumed the scene while saying,
"If I didn't know when you were born, I would say you were there on that day, and you were one of the thieves yourself...
How else can you see them, hide from everyone, and know so much about what we never even saw?"
But Little Mortal snorted arrogantly,
"Don't compare me to those rookies!"
Lilith shook her head helplessly,
"Let's get back to the story.
And yes, you are right about the sandwich plan.
To deal with the invisible enemy,
And seal the parts of space that were like an entrance for them to enter,
World law divided everything into three layers.
The World above, the Underworld, and the 'Sealed realm between'.
But we didn't know anything about this plan at the beginning."
Little Mortal nodded,
"That's only natural.
While you guys couldn't see them,
The World itself could see and feel them.
If there is a dimension in the world, then it's part of the 'body' of the world itself, and it's impossible to hide from it.
So World Law made a move to deal with the 'foreign dimension trespassers' personally."
In the scene, the infinite space suddenly changed color.
Two surfaces appeared above and below the group of survivors, like a ceiling composed of energy and matter intermingled.
Among the only four remaining ancient ones, two women and two men, one of them was Lilith, and one of the men was the stern-looking old man who sealed Lubo.
At this moment, 3 of them moved up, because they were closer to the ceiling above them,
And Lilith moved down, because she was close to the ceiling below.
Two passages opened in each ceiling, and the group rushed out of the now 'sealed' space between.
Some mainlands had the time to run, and some didn't and were stuck in between.
Any mainland that tried to go down where Lilith went couldn't enter that side anymore either.
In total, only 3000 big and small mainlands had the chance to survive.
There was one more entity that survived, too, which Lilith knew 'Fate' rescued.
And that entity was Lubo, who disappeared for eons after that incident.
Little mortal commented,
"What a mess...
What a useless world law...
What a weak Fate law...
Are we both in this 'weaklings' team?"
Lilith paused the scene and looked at this little insulter in shock.
"O_O"
she thought he might get hit by punishment lightning at any moment!
Little mortal asked,
"By the way, who are those three ancient ones that survived the calamity?"
Lilith shook her head and calmed herself down.
Her partner could turn his invisibility on and off, it seems, so he insulted the three in his invisible mode,
That's why he didn't get punished.
She pointed at the old man.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
A stern and battle-worn warrior, clad in radiant white armor inscribed with holy runes and eyes that carried the weight of centuries of war against darkness.
"The Old Man in White Armor is 'Seraphion', the Unyielding.
He is the First ancient one."
Then she pointed at the other man.
"The one in the blue mage robe is Vaelgrim, the Arcane Sage."
And in the end, she pointed at the woman.
"And she is Selene, the Twilight Oracle."
A silver-haired seer draped in celestial robes with glowing violet eyes that reflect both heaven and earth, as if foretelling destinies.
Little mortal nodded while writing their names on the whiteboard,
"Alright, I remember them.
Let's continue."
Lilith resumed the scene.
Looking at the new development, the realm 'between' was like a glowing scar across the infinite space now.
At first, inside it was like a storm of collapsing dimensions with swirling hurricanes at its boundaries.
The trapped beings could be seen as shifting silhouettes, flickering between visibility and non-existence, but it was hard to tell what they were or how they looked.
It seemed that reality itself was bending, stretching, and folding inward, making certain places appear the focus of world law.
The space around those certain areas with devoured law, where the unknown enemy had infiltrated the world,
began to change, and a sphere made of an unknown material warped around them, sealing the space inside.
As time passed, 1000 spheres were formed.
However, it was obvious that whatever was inside was struggling hard to escape, and the spheres began to show signs of collapsing.
It was at this point that chains from the two ceilings, above and below, appeared and connected to the spheres,
keeping them in a stable condition by sucking world law from both sides to feed the 'seals' and keep the invisible creatures inside.
Little Mortal said knowingly,
"So that's why there are only 3000 hexagons.
When the 'underworld' was created,
It was created from a completely different set of laws, separate from the original world law that had already been altered to form 'Fate law'.
Which means the law in the 'World above' is a different set too now.
Each side acts separately at this moment as part of the outer seal for the creatures trapped inside the spheres.
But what's the use of the 'lava sea' and connection between the two sides?"
Lilith waved her hand and showed him the movement of law that he couldn't see, and explained,
"Because the seal was unstable, and world law needed to have the mix of law from both sides to feed the spheres and charge the seals,
And at the same time, it needed the two sides to be made of two different sets of law so that it can keep the 'sealed space' secret from the outside world without the hidden enemy infiltrating it again."
Little mortal nodded in understanding,
"So, through the lava sea, part of underworld law goes 'up',
And part of 'world law', which is no longer the complete version, comes 'down'.
But none of the delivered laws will be mixed with the other side, and it goes directly to the spheres through the chains and stabilizes the seals?"
Lilith nodded,
"Exactly.
But the underworld isn't 'infinite' like the world above.
So 'judgment law' was born, and through that,
'Sinners' would be sent down, and their law would be converted to 'underworld law' to keep this side 'strong' enough for supporting the seal."
The scene played out for a while longer from Lilith's point of view, which was alone for billions of years in this hellish world divided into 3,000 hexagons, each connecting to a mainland.
Little mortal, who was watching, suddenly pointed at her in the scene,
"Oh, look, you got the fate connection at this point!"
Lilith nodded in confusion, because he was right, but she really didn't know how he could see the 'Fate' connection with her.
Even she herself could only 'feel' it, and not see it.
"Yes.
And the same day, the first entity in this realm, my daughter, was born."
From the lava, a little infant manifested.
Little mortal, while acting sentimental, sighed and said,
"Yeah, I remember that day.
Look how cute our little Nyxara was back then."
If Lilith didn't see the word 'lie' above his head,
She might have thought he was really there, in a corner, hiding and watching all these events unfolding with his own eyes...
The scene changed again.
Minions and dark wing fairies were born to take care of the underworld alongside Lilith and the first 'daughter' of the underworld, who called her 'mother' as she grew up.
Time passed like this until one day, a hexagon turned dark.
Little mortal gasped,
"That's the start of the trouble, right?"
Lilith nodded,
"Yes.
After years of managing this place, I saw this happen and asked the three ancient ones remaining in the world above about it.
Back then, we could contact each other through the Underworld Gate.
At first, they claimed they were unaware of it.
But later on, as more hexagons became like this,
They admitted they knew, but didn't tell me the reason.
It was then that they stopped contacting me from the Underworld Gates, but instead used a device.
So, I became suspicious and used my connection with fate for the first time, trying to 'peek' at the world above.
I spread my fate to the universes connected to each mainland, and tried to see what's happening through my minions."
Two different scenes started playing.
One was the rise of the first Level 2 civilizations Mainland.
And the other was the newly 'discovered' way for mainlands to advance by devouring other mainlands and 'killing' them completely.
Lilith attempted to warn the world above about these new changes, both directly and indirectly, through her believers and minions, but failed every time.
"It didn't matter how much I tried.
The mainlands above kept dying or being devoured.
It was as though any information I sent up never reached the managers.
Either way, you should know that at this moment,
nobody knows about the secret of the 'sealed realm' except the 4 of us remaining Ancient ones, and now you.
And with the information you gave me today about the 'mission' of level 2 civilizations,
I think you can guess what's happening?"
Little mortal scratched his head,
"Yeah, it's the 'comeback arc' for the invisible villain organization.
It seems we are going to see 'The End' soon."
Lilith took a deep breath.
This partner of hers saw everything like a movie.
"Anyway, with the three other ancient ones doing nothing about the situation in the world above, I'm sure there is a traitor among us!
Or how else could my 'believers' in the world above be discovered and eliminated when no one except those three knows about their whereabouts?
I'm sure someone is trying to make all of the hexagons down here stop functioning, and force the seal to break from my side to release the invisible creatures in the sealed realm between."
Lilith sighed and looked into Little Mortal's eyes,
"Partner,
I didn't guard this realm for so long to see such a day.
I don't want those things to resurface and wreak havoc everywhere again.
So, how about you go on a mission for me?
See who the traitor is, and bring the other party here.
Be a real judge for once, and leave the rest to me!"
But Little Mortal shook his head,
"Don't want to."
Lilith was speechless,
"Why?
We need to find the coordinates of the level 3 civilization first.
I know it's hard for others,
However, I'm sure that if we find an 'Agent', you can easily pursue the other party and locate their hiding place.
After that, it's an easy job for you to find and capture the traitor for me."
Little mortal, while rolling his eyes at her, said,
"First of all, do you know how long it takes for the Agent you are talking about to reach where we want to?
Creatures with long lives take their time doing business!
Don't you know that?
And second, I already know where that level 3 civilization is.
Why would I go through so much trouble?"
Lilith was shocked,
"How do you know where it is?"
Little mortal smiled arrogantly,
"Partner, you are underestimating me and my team too much.
Didn't you notify my birthday gifts of the Level 2 civilization's 'anomaly annihilation protocol'?
You even said it is possible an 'Agent' shows up if the Iron Brain calculates the danger level is too high."
Lilith nodded,
"Yes, and I just saw your space mirror go to that backpack after hearing the news.
But didn't do anything after.
What about it?"
Little mortal chuckled,
"Well, little mirror used my secret blood technique,
Turned invisible, went to the other side of the passage inside that brain with me,
And then while we gathered some souvenirs,
I covered the card room in my domain so that it could lock onto that mainland or whatever place that was over there.
It was a clean and perfect enemy infiltration operation!
Cool, huh?"
Lilith's mouth was now slightly open.
After a while, she asked,
"Why would you do that?
Why would you risk going somewhere unknown?
You even emptied the place!"
And Little Mortal said as a matter of fact,
"Didn't I tell you?
You are a fate expert like me.
If you say something 'important', it means fate hides a riddle inside.
So, I needed to respond in a way that everything related to the 'riddle' would be in my pocket.
This way, 'fate' can't make excuses later and say, 'I showed you the way, you just didn't see it.'
Or say, 'I gave you the opportunity, but you didn't take it.'"
Lilith was completely speechless now...
She didn't know if fate really worked that way.
But it seems his partner's beliefs in fate were far stronger than hers.
"So that's why you emptied that 'card vault' too?"
Little mortal nodded firmly,
"Yes, Yes!
What if fate left a clue for us in those cards?"
But a big 'lie' appeared above his head.
Lilith knew he probably just liked the cards,
So he took them away using the space mirror that threw them to Planet Lubo,
and locked onto their coordinate because he just wanted to take 'revenge' on the big head agent later.
In the end, he tried to destroy everything, so he was probably on his revenge list now.
"So why don't you go there and find the traitor for me?
Doesn't that mean 'fate' already gave you the sign to do that?"
Little mortal gasped,
"You are right!"
But furrowed the next moment,
"Or maybe you aren't..."
And while rubbing his chin, he said in a serious tone,
"Listen to me, junior Lilith.
When it comes to secret missions,
You should listen to experts in this line of work, with a professional resume."
Lilith, with eyes widened in shock, asked,
"What did you just call me?"
Little Mortal looked at her in confusion,
"Junior Lilith.
Or do you prefer 'little Lilith'?
Let me tell you.
Because you are too young, you might not remember.
But,
My generation is actually the ancestor of you 'ancient ones', who were born after us.
So basically, everyone in this world is my junior.
And, I am the ancient ones' ancestor."
Only now Lilith found out why she had a bad feeling a while ago when this little guy found out about his race's origin...
He is going to call everyone junior from now on, isn't he?
Just thinking about someone calling her, the queen of hell, 'little Lilith', in front of others, made her head feel dizzy.
"Partner, I think you got it wrong!
Even though your kind was created before us, you are a lot younger than me!
You can't call me like that!"
But Little Mortal shook his head,
"No!
You might not know, but I lived for 14 billion years!
How could I be young?"
Lilith was speechless,
"You think 14 billion is a lot?
Do you know how old I am?"
"25? 27?"
Now Lilith was in a dilemma and didn't know if she should accept the age or deny it...
"Listen to me, Partner, forget about the age.
How about you call me 'partner' like before?
You know it might affect my reputation as Queen if someone hears you call me like that!"
Little Mortal, while reluctant, nodded,
"Alright, partner."
After breathing a sigh of relief, Lilith asked,
"What did you mean by 'professional resume'?"
Hearing the question, Little Mortal became excited,
"Partner, listen carefully now.
My resume in completing secret missions isn't simple!"
Lilith nodded,
"Tell me about it."
"Okay, pay attention.
Ehem, when I started my rebellion against the lawsucker parasites, I didn't just start killing them!
First, I won their birth treasures, leveled up myself to level 85, close to 80 levels higher than them,
And then I operated in the dark for so long that I had already taken over everything they had while they were still oblivious about me.
And when they found out about me, it was already too late, and they were either dead or became puppets.
And after that,
When my new opponent, the 3 level 10 mainlands, showed up,
I leveled up to level 6,666 first, then I took over their 'insiders',
Baited them into my trap one by one, not in a group,
Trapped them in my 'guardian trap' one by one,
Made a lot of money out of them by making a movie, which will be out for sale at the 'box office' soon.
And after defeating all of them with them still in the dark, I leveled up to level 200,000."
At this point, Little Mortal was already on a table, shouting excitedly,
"And that's how, I, Mortal the strongest, am already prepared to face my next or any unexpected enemy!
And that's how, I, Mortal, the strongest, am always undefeated!
And that's why I, Mortal, the strongest, always kill those who aren't on my team and know my real identity!
Even now, my identity is hidden!"
At the end of his 'speech', Little Mortal, standing on top of the table, with his chest puffed, his chin raised, and his finger pointing at the ceiling for some reason,
was emitting an 'invincible hidden warrior' aura that didn't exist!
Lilith looked at him, and except for the crazy number of his level,
Couldn't help but approve of his way of doing things.
Even now, on the merged mainland with close to 200,000 universes connected to it,
Only the level 10 White Canary was alive, plus the actors and the entertainment girl, while neither of them knew who he really was...
Everybody else was dead, and somehow stuck in the resurrection process...
'So he even takes away their resurrection ability in their own universes?
I assume even we managers can't resurrect them if he doesn't allow us.'
"Let me tell you, partner.
There is only one thing in this world that I fear.
Do you know what?"
Lilith nodded,
"Yes, hostages."
Little Mortal shouted,
"Exactly!
Fate, that's the onl- wait, what?"
And the two looked at each other awkwardly.
Lilith, who just tried to see if she could let anyone resurrect on the 'merge mainland', and found out about something interesting, asked,
"Why did you use 'Evil' for your mainland's name?
By the way, it isn't the mainland's name yet.
It needs at least two votes."
Little Mortal looked at her, puzzled,
"What vote?
And I chose it to blend in with the group of 'villains' out there, in case we accidentally bumped into one.
This way we can cover up for the 'bet' I'm going to start with other mainlands, and if someone saw the process,
They think it's another evil mainland devouring others, not merging."
Lilith nodded,
"That's smart.
And if the agents get suspicious for whatever reason and ask me about the result,
I can say the hexagon is 'dead' and cover up for your mainland.
Oh, and the vote is for the 'name'.
It appears that there are three of us who can vote on the main decisions related to the mainland.
One is you, who naturally can't receive any notification about it.
One is the White Canary, who has already voted 'no' on the name.
And the last one is me."
Little Mortal, who didn't know about any of these, looked at Lilith blankly.
Lilith chuckled and said,
"Don't worry.
I vote whatever you vote,
So we always win 2-1.
Like now."
And she voted 'yes' for the name,
"The name is confirmed.
Later on, you probably can't 'bet' by yourself either.
So whatever 'bet' you start, I immediately agree.
It is the same for 'resurrection'.
If I vote for resurrection to continue, like that White Canary,
The higher beings' resurrection will resume."
Little Mortal, who seemed to be slightly angry, said,
"Should I kill that White Canary?"
Lilith chuckled,
"Isn't it under your Frontline effect?"
Little Mortal nodded,
"Yes, but if I use my 100% stealth mode, I can kill it.
I already tested it on a planet manager and Lubo before.
World Law can't detect who or what is beating them up if I act sneaky!
I always wondered why.
But with what you showed me today, I know the reason is that World Law is split into Fate and Underworld, too.
So it's not in one piece currently and can't detect someone like me, who is even better than those thieves when it comes to hide and seek in higher."
Seeing the word 'truth', Lilith, while forcing a smile on her face, gulped nervously,
'Isn't that mean he can kill me too and pause my resurrection if it's in our shared hexagon?'
Lilith felt a chill run down her spine.
But,
'Oh, wait.
He won't, because of my 'Fate' connection... Right?'
Feeling nervous that she isn't even safe in her own realm anymore, she asked,
"So, do you have a plan, Mr. Professional secret agent?"
Little Mortal ran to the whiteboard and said,
"Yes!
Let me show you the process.
First, we need to write down the important information."
And started writing.
[ Mission Data:
1. 3 ancient ones (1 or more is a traitor)
2. 3000 hexagons in total
- 10 Normal Mainland
- 20 connected Evil Mainland
- 280 disconnected Evil Mainland but still 'on'
- the rest are dead(?)
3. Cracks on the seals of the realms between due to the lack of support from both sides.
4. Fate saving Lubo and keeping the incomplete universes around.
5. The mission of level 2 civilizations leads to the death of the mainlands.]
"Now that we have the important topics,
We need to write the quests and stop the possible disaster first."
And he started writing again.
[ Mission: Save the infinite space.
Main Quests:
1. Make a solid line of defense.
- Operation 'Speedrun Conquest' (priority)
2. Infiltrate the level 3 civilization
- Gather information (conquer if possible)
3. Investigate the sealed realm stability
4. Bring Fate into the equation for guaranteed victory
- 50% extra reward if it's done entirely in the 'dark', without leaving any tracks behind.]
Little Mortal pointed at the whiteboard with his marker,
"These are the main quests we need to complete.
Any questions?
If not, we can start with the first quest."
Lilith, while trying to understand everything he wrote, asked,
"What do you think Fate is planning that you want it to be in your 'equation'?"
Little Mortal shrugged,
"How should I know what Fate is doing?
But look at the patterns, and you can see the 'signs'."
Lilith furrowed her brow,
"Patterns?"
Little Mortal nodded,
"Yes.
I'll give you a hint.
My journey started with a simple goal.
And that goal was to take revenge on a couple of higher beings."
After a moment of thinking, Lilith asked,
"You mean to say,
Fate saw infinite potential in you,
So it forced you onto a path with greater achievements instead of a simple revenge?
And Fate even saved Lubo in the past because it was trying to prepare everything for your arrival?
You think you are the 'Fated One'?"
Little Mortal nodded.
But Lilith shook her head,
"I know you think you are part of this, and I saw all those unique laws and birth treasures around you.
It's indeed unheard of to see so many unique laws gathered in one place.
All of them could be part of Fate's plans.
Myself included.
But... not you."
Little Mortal, while slightly shocked, asked,
"Why would you say that?
That foresight girl saw me in her foresight, right?
Even the two of us ended up on the same team.
Isn't that mean Fate is already involved in my 'journey' too?"
But Lilith disagreed with him,
"No.
That girl never saw you in her foresight.
If you don't believe me, ask her yourself."
Little Mortal asked, suspicious,
"How do you know that?"
"Because of my connection with Fate.
I can clearly feel that Fate can't 'feel' your presence.
Like World Law and Underworld Law.
But World Law and now Underworld Law at least can 'see' you if you are in your visible form and know about your existence through Guardian Law and your activities while expanding your territory,
Opposite of Fate that can't do that even when you are visible.
If you don't believe me, ask your Hourglass of Time.
The 10-minute future it always saw is inevitable in any place under World Law's rule.
So what it sees is 'fated'.
But you aren't in any of those 'futures' either.
Only that prophecy orb of yours might be able to 'guess' a future with you inside,
And even that is possible because 'prophecy' is 'fake' and only based on possibilities, not 'inevitable future'."
Little Mortal gulped down after hearing the explanation.
He asked with a trembling voice,
"W-what about my Passive Fate skill?
W-what about 'may the fate be with you' World Law says when I became the guardian?"
Lilith, seeing him like this, answered truthfully,
"Your passive fate skill, whatever it did, or you think it did, is just a 'coincidence'.
With your power, you could handle the problems even without these coincidences.
And World Law, seeing your potential, just sent a request to 'Fate' to support you when you became the Guardian.
But for 'Fate' to give you its support, first, it needs to find you, so..."
Little Mortal, as if out of spirit,
Went to his chair and sat down in a depressed mood.
*Slurp*
And started drinking Underworld tea silently.
Seeing her all depressed,
Lilith thought she shouldn't tell him about his nonexistence fate connection, and was going to think of a way to cheer him up,
But after a while, Little Mortal's eyes suddenly shone, and he shouted while slamming the table,
"I know what to do!"
Then he took out a paper and a pen, and started writing on a new table because the one he had just slammed turned to pieces.
Lilith watched the unstable powerhouse changing mood speechlessly.
"-_-"
What happened to your depression?
What are you writing?
