Back onto Arsh and the group, Luk and Safi are looking around. They stayed in one place while Arsh and Horm started to gather some berries and firewood.
Horm noticed that both of them were clutching their spears and shaking.
“Nervous? Do not worry, I did the same thing yesterday. Just trust Civ and everything will be fine.”. Horm's innocent smile lifted the spirits of these two.
“Even so, please be alert. If you hear something, tell us immediately.” Arsh reminded them.
Both of them quickly nodded. They sharpen their perception to hear anything unusual.
“Did you hear anything?” Safi asked Luk.
“Shh- nothing.” Luk answered Safi as he tried his best to hear as far as he could.
“I think Civ is running back to us right now. I hear two creatures running towards us.” Safi whispered to Luk.
“Really, but I cannot hear anything. Where is the sound coming from?” Luk asked.
Safi looked ahead and silently pointed to the north where they were facing.
Luk's brows knitted. He tried to focus his hearing toward the north, but he was hearing silence.
“Are you sure?” Luk wanted to make sure.
“Yes, and I think the boar is chasing Civ right now. From here going there.” Safi pointed to the east, going to the west.
Luk has his conclusion about what is going on, so he immediately calls the attention of the two.
“Arsh, Horm. I think Civ is being chased by the boar right now, and they are running from east to west!” Luk alerted the two.
Horm and Arsh's faces frowned.
Arsh asked Luk, “How did you know?”
Luk felt the sharp gaze from Arsh. “I-i–I think so because Civ is still not here. A-a-also Safi said she heard that there were two running ahead of us from west to east.”
He tried to speak as fast as he could, stumbling over his words.
Arsh and Horm whispered to each other, and Horm shook his head.
“I do not think Civ is in danger right now. Let’s wait a bit here,” Arsh firmly but then.
“We need to find Civ. I hear one of the creatures is running slower right now. It might be Civ, and he is exhausted!” Safi exclaimed. She tried to run to find Civ, but Horm grabbed her shoulder and stopped her.
“Stop acting rashly! If it's true that someone is running ahead, are you sure it was Civ?!” Arsh shouted at Safi. Everyone felt the anger from Arsh and tucked their necks.
“Let’s wait for a little bit here. I know Civ will not endanger himself. Let's just stay here and follow Civ’s plan.” Arsh reminded them and firmly held her spear also.
There was a faint shake coming from her knees and fingers, but she tried her best to suppress it.
‘Please be safe Civ’ Arsh whispered to herself.
“I think we should stay here and listen to what Arsh said. Let's stick to the plan and be ready.” Horm also reminded them, and seeing a 6 ft person saying this, they cannot help but follow.
Safi and Luk agreed in silence and clutched their spears.
A couple of moments later.
THUD
THUD
THUD
Everyone felt the tremors beneath their feet. They tried to sharpen their senses, and they heard a boar screeching.
“Arsh I am pretty sure that is Civ!” Safi exclaimed.
“Everyone! Stand behind the log and prepare your spears.” Arsh commanded them with precision while she leaned the spare spears on the log.
Hearing the thumping sound get louder and louder, everyone held their breath.
THUD
THUD
THUD
REEEEE
Hearing the screeching of the boar sent shivers down their spine. Especially Safi and Luk, who heard it for the first time.
“Ready!” Arsh alerted them, and everyone fixed their sight forward.
They saw Civ. But their heart stopped as they saw the boar that was chasing Civ. It was twice as big as the boar they hunted yesterday.
Getting a clear vision of the boar, even though they are far away. Their eyes widened.
“How big is that!” Horm shouted.
“I don’t know. But can we kill that?!” Luk asked
“Stop with the talking and throw your spear when you have a chance!” Arsh readied herself.
The size of the boar intimidated them and shook their resolve, scrambling to focus on the target.

Civ ran to the left and screamed, “Everyone! Throw your spears!”
Hearing the signal from Civ, they tried their best to throw their spears.
Their stomach dropped when they saw their spears fly in different directions.
“Civ run bac—” Horm tried to call Civ but.
BANG
The boar crashed into a tree and stopped moving.
Arsh and the rest looked at the boar. It tried to flail its feet, but a couple of seconds later, the boar stopped moving. The next thing that happened was blood gushing on the ground.
‘I think we need to wait a bit more.’ Learning from yesterday’s mistake, Civ waits a couple of minutes.
Once he was sure, he came near to the boar and slashed its throat.
HISS
A release of air comes from the throat, and it ends the suffering of the boar.
The rest of the group followed suit when they saw Civ already killed the boar.
“Everyone, you did a great job.” Civ compliments the team, but a hint of disappointment in themselves.
Arsh softly laughed and said, “I do not think Civ we did a good job. I missed the target. But good thing someone from the team hit it.”
Hearing this, Civ examined the boar.
It was lying on one side, and the only wound he saw was the slash from the throat he had made.
“Hmmm None it's on this side. It means” Civ holds its front foot and turns its body to the other side.
‘It's heavy!’ Civ was surprised at how heavy this boar was, but he managed to turn it with all of his might.
Scanning the whole body, there is only one part that has blood in it.
“Hehehe Unbelievable! Bullseye!” The boar was hit in its eye!
“Everyone, look. The boar was hit in its eye. Seeing this, the group's mouth dropped. They did not expect to hit it in its eye and instantly kill it!
But recalling what happened earlier, Arsh was able to see where Horm and Safi’s spear went. Since Luk was on the other side, she was unable to see the spear he had thrown.
‘It means’
Horm, Safi, and Arsh looked at Luk with disbelief.
“What? Did I do something wrong?” Luk felt uncomfortable with the weird faces his friends were showing.
“Hahaha. You did nothing wrong Luk. Do you remember how you threw your spear?” Civ asked Luk.
“I-i-i don’t know. I closed my eyes when I threw my spear.” Luk honestly tells everyone how he threw it.
Everyone laughs, making Luk more uncomfortable. Horm places his hand over his shoulder, surprising Luk.
“Hahaha. Luk, the Sun Goddess probably gave her blessing to you also. Look at the eye.” Horm pointed at the stone spear pierced in its eye.
Noticing the part of the spear attached to the head, Luk also has a weird expression.
‘I did this?’ He cannot believe it.
“Now we know how the boar was killed. We’ll give the best portion to Luk. Does everyone agree?” Civ asks their opinion on this one. He wants to give this equally to his tribesmen. But since they are the ones who hunt this. He thinks it's better to do it this way as a way of encouraging each of them to do their best.
Everyone nodded.
“Since everyone agrees, let's prepare to go back to the camp!”
The group happily tidied up the rest of the items they collected today.
While the rest are getting ready, Civ and Horm have a predicament.
They tried to lift the boar, but it was too heavy for them, even for the two of them lifting it.
“This is too heavy Civ. I do not think we can bring this whole.” Horm panting, trying his best to lift this boar.
Based on his estimate. This boar weighs around 250 kgs. (552 lbs.)! Definitely bigger and heavier than the boar yesterday.
“You are right. We can try to butcher it right now. Come here, help me.” He pulled up his tool and started to open up its gut. Then carefully remove its genitals first, then the internal organs. Then, Civ leaves it on the tree where the boar crashed.
Weighing it right now, Horm was confident enough to lift it by himself.
“Civ can you help me lift this to my shoulder?” Even though he is confident, he still wants to ask his friends for help, so it will be easier.
Civ happily helped and lifted the boar to his shoulder.
Horm struggled a bit, but when he found his balance, he was able to lift it without any trouble.
The group excitedly walks back to the camp, looking forward to the feast later.
Back at the camp, Kivrah joined the rest of the hunting team to practice spear-throwing.
THUN
The spear hit the target.
THUN
THUN
THUN
He was able to hit the target without missing. The group was amazed by the excellence of their Tribal leader. The group was shy. But Ras put up his courage. He respectfully asked the tribe leader for pointers as they were having a hard time using the tool.
Kivrah was more than willing to teach them. From the form to the way they need to throw the spear. Everyone enjoyed their time learning from the Tribe leader.
They continue to do the spear throwing, thinking of hunting the boar.
But for Kivrah, it was different. He tries his best to throw the spear as high as he can. Right now, he is missing shots as throwing this high lessens the accuracy.
‘Still not enough,’ Kivrah focused more on launching the spear higher.
“Tribe leader. Civ returned already.” One of the adults gathering the firewood ran to call his attention.
“They are already here?” It was not yet half of the morning, so Kivrah was confused.
‘The boar might be bigger, so they return early and stop the hunt.’
What Kivrah wishes is to make sure that they are safe. Even if they starve, they can still find another way to look for food.
Kivrah and the hunting group meet them at the entrance.
A glimpse of the group makes their anxiety disappear. But then they froze in place where they stand.
“What is that?!”
“Is that a boar? How big is that?!”
Kivrah taught that Civ and his group return to avoid the boar. But they actually hunted a bigger boar!
After they learn that Civ is the Chosen One, this boy only gives them surprise after surprise.
“The Chosen One was really blessed by our Sun Goddess.” Ras praised the Sun.
When the Civ’s hunting group arrived, they were more shocked by the massive size of the boar. Even more surprised that Horm was able to lift this.
“Well done my Son! You can leave the rest to your tribesmen.” Kivrah signaled to drop the boar.
“Father, I think Horm should lift it up to the front of the cave,” Civ answered his father and pointed at Horm's feet.
When they saw Horm’s feet, there was a deep footprint shaping around them.
“Ehem! Yes, you are right!” Kivrah has nothing to say but to agree with his son.
‘Just how heavy is that boar?’ Kivrah pondered.
He also looked around at the rest of the team, but he did not notice any injuries or struggle from the team. Kivrah was puzzled.
BOOM
The loud sound shook the camp when Horm dropped the boar. They do not know how Horm did it. But they are convinced that Horm is stronger than they expected.
The tribesmen gathered, and some of them arranged the firewood at the fireplace.
Kivrah looked at the boar, and there were no wounds except on the neck and the open body.
Cannot help his curiosity, Kivrah right away asks his son.
“Son, I do not understand. How were you able to kill this boar this time?” Kivrah asks his son a full of questions.
“How did we kill it?” Civ playfully pointed at Luk.
“He killed it.”
Everyone looked at Luk.
“ME???!!!”
