The Incarnation of the Beasts

Chapter 7: The Incarnation of the King of Beasts

Six weeks later, at Phoinex Arizona, in Saviour HQ, deep in a floor built 500 meters underground, a cold room housed a gigantic power core. Attached to it, a screen displayed images of different people. Three men sat around the core, their faces obscured by talismans featuring a large eye. These men were the guardians of Saviour HQ, tasked with modifying it and serving as the eyes of the Kingdoms. Gifted with the ability to sense, see, and feel danger, they measured the Kinshin Energy of individuals across the Kingdoms. The power core before them pulsed with energy as they monitored the images.

Corera entered the room, her heels clicking loudly against the metallic floor. She walked straight to the three men, stopping before them.

  “Report, Akashi…” she commanded.

“Oh, if it isn’t Miss Corera,” Akashi No. 1 replied, a smirk creeping onto his face.

“Oh right, she came here again without bringing us some gifts,” Akashi No. 2 chimed in, grinning.

“Shut it!” Corera snapped, her annoyance palpable.

“Abel is waiting for you,” Akashi No. 3 interjected, his tone more serious.

Corera walked past the Akashis and headed toward the hall across from the entrance. As she entered the Kings’ throne room of Phoinex Arizona, the ground beneath her began to shake, lifting her up to the gigantic throne where King Abel sat.

“You requested my presence… King Abel!” she announced, bowing respectfully.

Abel raised his head, a smirk still lingering. “There’s no need for you to be formal, Corera,” he replied, amusement in his eyes.

Corera straightened up. “So… what’s the business?” she inquired, her tone shifting to one of urgency.

“I’ll be leaving… to attend something important. I’m leaving you in charge!” Abel declared, standing up.

“Oh? Where are you going?” she pressed.

Abel chuckled softly, “To find an old friend!”

“You’re leaving immediately?” she asked, surprise evident in her voice.

“Yes! I have no time to waste,” he insisted.

“Kuowon found some very intriguing news,” Corera interjected.

  “Oh?” Abel’s interest piqued.

“It’s about Legacies… the secret organization,” she said, her expression turning serious.

Abel smiled knowingly. “Prepare yourself. It has begun,” he warned as a portal began to manifest before him.

“Wait! What do you mean prepare myself?” she shouted, panic rising in her voice.

“The King of Kings has made his Progression. I think it’s time for Kimichi to make his reveal. Tell Kuowon not to kill the kid while he’s at it,” he said as he stepped toward the portal, which closed behind him.

Corera stood there, confusion etched on her face. “AHH, shit… of course he left without telling me anything!” she muttered to herself.

As the ground beneath her stabilized, Corera walked away, frustration bubbling within her. “This is crap!” she yelled.

“You’re right; he left without giving you any clues,” Akashi No. 3 remarked as Corera hit the lift button.

The lift doors opened, and she stepped inside. “Next time, bring us some snacks!” Akashi No. 1 called out.

“Yeah, we would really appreciate it!” Akashi No. 2 added.

Before the lift closed, Corera shouted back, “Alright, bet!” The doors slid shut.

In the present day at Kaharahara, under the scorching noon sun, Kimichi held his posture, balancing upside down on a gigantic boulder with only his fingers. Sweat dripped down his forehead as he focused. Suddenly, Sunbae appeared, popping up out of nowhere.

“Your Energy is rapidly increasing, my lord,” he announced.

Kimichi breathed in deeply, releasing an immense aura as he jumped off the boulder and landed gracefully on the ground. “This training thing isn’t easy,” he admitted, pulling out a towel to wipe off his sweat.

“Impressive, my lord. You can already manifest an object with ease!” Sunbae praised, a hint of pride in his voice.

“Oh, thanks! It’s all thanks to you… and where’s Kuowon?” Kimichi asked, looking around.

“The Master of the Beasts said he’s going to search for some special Beast,” Sunbae replied.

“Oh well… then what am I supposed to do?” Kimichi wondered aloud.

“I think it’s time I open up to you a little bit, my lord,” Sunbae said, his tone serious.

Kimichi looked at him, confusion flickering across his face. “Oh, okay,” he replied, curious.

“Your lordship, as you already know, you’re the descendant of Loki, the all-powerful. But there’s something else you need to know,” Sunbae continued.

“I’m all yours, Sunbae,” Kimichi said, eager to learn.

“There are six Morishimo Keys used to seal your true potential. Your lordship decided to seal his true power after battling Zexus. I possess three keys, including myself; the other two were lost when I traveled through the rift,” he explained.

Kimichi’s brow furrowed in confusion. “Oh, I get it,” he lied.

“You were always not very smart, my lord. I’ll make it simple for you,” Sunbae chuckled. “Your power is sealed, and the only way to unlock your full potential is to find the other two keys.”

“Now I understand,” Kimichi nodded, comprehension dawning on him.

“I’m thinking of using the first key…” Sunbae said, raising his hand.

“Okay, so what do I need to do?” Kimichi asked, a spark of excitement in his eyes.

“Relax your body… that’s all. Oh, memories from your past might affect you too,” Sunbae replied cryptically.

As Sunbae raised his hand, a golden key appeared, glowing with energy. He floated towards Kimichi, and a gigantic magical cycle materialized, displaying six different symbols, each inscribed in Korean. One symbol shifted and rolled towards Sunbae’s hand, its meaning reading: [???? - Fragment of Dreams]. He inserted the key into the symbol, which absorbed it, causing it to glow brightly. Kimichi’s eyes glowed orange, a surge of power coursing through him.

  The screen suddenly went blank.

Twenty-five years ago, in Phoinex Arizona, chaos erupted as a gigantic beast rampaged through the city, leaving destruction in its wake. Little Kuowon wandered the streets, frightened and yelling for his mother.

“Mom! Mom!” he cried, but no one answered. Above him, the beast loomed, its massive purple eye fixed on him. It opened its mouth, ready to devour him.

Kachup! The beast’s teeth clamped shut, but nothing happened.

In the distance, civilians gathered, a man flashing into existence before little Kuowon with incredible speed. He smiled as he brushed Kuowon’s hair back.

“I see the eyes of the king. Tell me, what’s your name?” the man asked, his voice gentle.

“Kuowon! Oh my baby!” Kuowon’s mother yelled, rushing toward him and lifting him into a tight embrace. The man vanished in the blink of an eye. “Mom? Some man saved my life,” Kuowon recounted, bewildered.

“Oh…” his mother replied, scanning the area for the man. “Well, son, maybe someday you can thank him.”

  “Yes… I will,” he promised.

In the city, the beast glared down at a man standing tall, a beautiful girl by his side, who smiled proudly.

  “The boy…?” she asked.

“He has the eyes of a king!” the man replied, laughter dancing in his voice.

“So it’s true then. The incarnation of the king of Beasts has been chosen,” she declared.

The man chuckled softly, “I wish I could be there to challenge him,” he said, taking a step closer to the beast as it roared, its breath rancid and destructive.

“What do you mean by that, Ace?” she inquired.

Ace, the man, smiled back at her. “Just saying,” he replied.

The beast charged with immense force.

  Zwishh!

In the distance, all eyes were fixed on the city as the massive beast floated in the sky, a pillar of orange light cutting through its stomach. A gigantic magic cycle appeared in the sky, mirrored by another on the ground, enveloping the city. Ace hovered in the air, a staff manifesting in his left hand. He pointed it at the beast, which let out a scream of agony before disappearing into thin air. Slowly, Ace descended, watching as the destroyed city began to rebuild itself, glowing orange.

The girl gazed up at Ace, admiration shining in her eyes. “Now that’s a King… Ace the God of Creation,” she whispered to herself.

As the screen shifts back to Kimichi…

In the present day, Sunbae looked at Kimichi, who was still processing what he had just experienced.

“You saw it. A glimpse of your past self… a glimpse of your memories,” Sunbae stated.

“Yes… I did,” Kimichi replied, shock evident in his voice.

“This is a good start, my lord,” Sunbae encouraged.

Kimichi’s eyes widened as realization dawned on him. “I saw… Ku… Kuowon,” he stammered.

Meanwhile, in Phoinex Arizona at Legacies HQ, Reikon Jin stood proudly before Baishon Ling, Fuji, and Yoriyoo, who sat around a table.

“My intel tells me the King of Phoinex Arizona, King Abel, has left… so the PROGRESSION may commence,” Reikon declared, a wicked smile spreading across his face.

  He laughed wickedly.
