The man stood in the courtyard, looking at Stirling with indifference and disdain.
"A strange hidden weapon, but it's a daydream to save you with it."
The figure stood in the moonlight, shrouded in shadow, making it impossible to see his face. Perhaps it was this external shadow that hindered the flashbang's effect.
Stirling didn't speak, but raised his hand and waved it. The next moment, a Malice-Breaking orb flew out of his sleeve and shot towards the man.
The enhanced Malice-Breaking orb burst three inches in front of the figure with a muffled bang.
"A malice-breaking orb from the Yearning Palace? No, it shouldn't be this powerful!"
From within the smoke, the figure took another step. But this time, his tone was full of surprise.
"Son, don't resist. You went to great lengths to lure me here; this isn't enough."
"Or, provide what you found in Romeo's house, and I might spare your life."
As the man spoke, a terrifying pressure emanated from him bit by bit. It made Stirling feel as if a tiger in human skin were approaching instead of a human!
"I didn't kill Romeo, believe it or not." Under this pressure, Stirling remained unfazed.
"Then don't blame me." The man's figure blurred, lunging straight at Stirling inside the house.
But Stirling smiled eerily. He suddenly yanked open his shirt. A thick array of Malice-Breaking orbs was hung on his chest. He looked like a terrorist covered in explosives.
"Kneel to your grandpa!"
Stirling jarred, then the Malice-Breaking orbs dropped from his clothes. The shadowy figure's Virl-Malice pulled them through the air, making them blaze with fire as they sped towards him, whistling in.
"!!!"
Seeing this, the figure in mid-air immediately clasped its hands together. A pale golden light emanated from his body. In the next moment, dozens of Malice-Breaking orbs hit him in succession like bullets from a Maxim machine gun.
This created a storm in Stirling's courtyard — constant lightning and thunder. Blinding beams of light followed one after another. They piled until they exploded into a brilliant clot, brightening half the sky.
Even Stirling, inside the house, felt the blast's intense energy from the courtyard. He rolled away in a hurry, taking cover behind a wall to avoid the shock wave.
"Enchantress, what backup did you summon? It's been so long; why isn't he here yet?"
Stirling leaned against the wall. He watched Lilith on the ground, with a bitter smile in helpless.

The Malice-Breaking orbs appeared to be suppressive. Yet, Stirling had received no kill notifications. Without saying, the guy outside was alive and well.
As expected, he's a Grandmaster of the Nascent Realm; he can withstand this kind of suppressive fire for so long. If it were someone like Monk Green, he would probably have been blown to bits long ago.
A few seconds later, the light and shadow outside the courtyard grew dim. At the same time, those familiar footsteps echoed again!
"You are like a mantis trying to stop a chariot. Son, there's no hatred between us; why face each other to the death?"
The voice grew closer, the last word almost right next to Stirling's ear!
"Fuck your mother, making it seem like you're the victim!"
Stirling cursed loudly upon hearing this. Just as he was about to climb out of the kitchen back window with the statue shards, the Iron Butterfly on the table suddenly let out a loud cry.
A chilling aura filled the courtyard in no time. Stirling, even drenched in sweat, felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave.
"Who dares to trouble our Yearning Palace?" A lazy voice came from somewhere, which relieved Stirling.
Lilith's helper had arrived!
Stirling got up right away and peered out of the window.
In the courtyard outside, a woman dressed in a plain robe and barefoot had appeared. She held a sword in one hand, facing off against a gaunt figure.
"Huh? Isn't that the Yearning Palace envoy I saw at the Sean Lounge? She came in person!"
Stirling recognized the person and was quite surprised. Apparently, the blurry figure in the courtyard recognized Alena's strength and dropped its arrogance. Instead, it stood still, waiting for its chance.
Stirling looked out of the window and saw that the shadow in front of the figure had thinned a lot. No doubt, his previous barrage of malice-breaking orbs had had some effect on the figure.
Suddenly, the figure turned straight away and jumped back, creating distance to escape.
Alena let out a delicate hum and took a step forward. Next, a phantom streaked across the air, and as if teleporting, appeared behind the figure.
"We will meet again."
Facing Alena right at hand, the figure spoke calmly. Then, it sped up, turning into a black streak. It leaped onto the wall and vanished into the night.
Alena, in a flash, followed suit, chasing after the figure out of the courtyard.
Seeing this, Stirling felt heart-stopping. He thought to himself, "Alena's such a fool! What if this shadowy figure uses a diversionary tactic? I'm doomed!"
He thought this and went to Lilith in no time. He pinched her philtrum and patted her face until she finally woke up.
"Ugh..."
The sharp pain made the newfound, awakened Lilith gasp. Seeing Stirling beside her without a scratch, she became even more furious.
"Help me up!" Lilith called out in a whisper.
Stirling, with concern, helped her to a chair.
Lilith asked, "Is Lady Alena here?"
"Yes, the envoy has arrived in person and is already chasing after that person." Stirling quickly replied.
"Phew, I'm safe now."
Unlike Stirling, Lilith breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
"My lady, who exactly was that person just appeared a moment ago? How could he be so strong?"
Stirling asked.
"I don't know. He is a worshipper, but hides his looks and skills on purpose. His ability is one level above mine. Otherwise, I couldn't have survived ten moves."
Lilith was embarrassed, but still spoke up.
"My lady, if he wanted to hide his techniques, why would he also need to hide his appearance? Could he be someone you know?"
Stirling asked.
Lilith was stunned, thinking of Khan. Then she shook her head and said: "I don't think so. Even if he were an acquaintance, a mask would suffice; there is no need to use Virl-Malice to cover himself."
Stirling thought, "My silly sister, couldn't you think further about the implications?"
He hadn't expected the Vajra in the letter to be so powerful. It was on a whole different level than Romeo. In this way, he and the Yearning Palace were now in the same boat. Unless the Yearning Palace eliminates this Vajra man, how can he live in peace?
Thinking this, Stirling continued his leading questions:
"My lady, could it be that he isn't hiding his appearance? Maybe he's hiding a unique feature that unveils him."
"Uh..." Lilith, completely baffled, blinked her large, innocent eyes at Stirling.
Just then, a familiar voice came from outside the courtyard:
"You seem to know something. Why do not you tell me?"
