Allen…
A unique human, unlike any of his kind.
It is not a special ability that makes him extraordinary.
No, there is only one thing that sets him apart from the others…
He possesses an improved human body that, by human standards, should never exist.
Nothing about him is ordinary.
Every sense, every reflex, every aspect of his intelligence, raw strength, concentration, creativity, learning speed, memory — everything — is perfected beyond what a human should be.
He is a human who should never be amazed, yet he constantly pushes the limits.
By the age of 17, he had learned:
Every type of science and its branches
All kinds of technology
Every sport and every martial art
All combat-related knowledge
Essentially, everything a human could possibly master
What would take an ordinary human 10,000 years to achieve, he accomplished before 17.
He had reached a point of being the absolute human — or perhaps something even greater, though he does not realize it himself.
No one knows the full extent of his abilities.
Even those who tried to teach him never understood the scope of what he could do.
He lives in the wild, in a house deep in a forest near a town where his close ones reside.
He possesses a natural charm — the ability to make anyone love him for his attitude.
He is kind, social, beloved, a person whose virtues words can scarcely describe.
Yet he lives in a world plagued by disappointment and human failings:
Greed
Selfishness
Hate
The attitudes that plague most of humanity
Fortunately, he resides near a town of good people, a rare place of balance and kindness.
But there is one thing he does not have:
A family
Close friends
Someone who truly cares for him
(Or as he thought at first)
He lives alone, yet surrounded by the best neighbors.
Everything was… actually good with him.
Until…
---
---
He had already done almost everything.
Almost, not all — just to be clear. (If you can’t tell the difference, then your English education has failed you… )
He had reached the point where boredom and emptiness could have killed his spirit.
But Allen, ever aware, didn’t succumb.
"Nothing can stop me.
Boredom and emptiness, you are not my enemy…
I am your enemy!" he declared, his voice firm, sharp, yet carrying a hint of amusement at the absurdity of it all.
…And then, immediately, he realized there was literally nothing he could do. Frustration prickled at him — apparently, even declaring war on boredom didn’t guarantee victory.
Until… an idea popped into his mind: adventure and exploration.
"Oh my goodness, what an idea…
Why didn’t I think of that?!"
"Truly, the fool is me," he muttered quietly, with a self-amused smile.
Even in his humor, he had a strange gift: he could brighten the spirits of anyone nearby, turning despair into laughter. It was as if his wit was a weapon against the mundane cruelties of life.
Without hesitation, he began doing what should be done.
He started the path of adventure and exploration and did what should be done for it, from the equipment to the places that will be explored.
He also dove into studying fantasy creatures and fantastical knowledge — not out of obligation, but because he found them endlessly fascinating.
Building upon the basics he already knew, he sought 100% understanding of every unknown, leaving nothing unexplored.
And so, he was now in the middle of his own adventure and exploration.
Until the moment he realized… he hadn’t even explored the forest he lived in yet.
---
From here…
The real story begins.
---
“From this moment onward, the tale of the Gifted One becomes the saga of the Chosen One.”
---
---
Allen began preparing himself for his usual visit to the town, a small ritual he followed every now and then—long before any “adventure” would begin.
He left his quiet home in the forest, located high above the town on steep terrain. There was a special staircase connecting both places, but it was too far from Allen’s home… so he always chose the hard way.
Naturally, he was unmatched in climbing and descending—so skilled that he could move down on his feet with ease, and sometimes even with a board, depending on his mood.
Once he reached the ground, he walked toward the town and arrived right at sunrise—his favorite time. The atmosphere was calm, peaceful… doors slowly opening… life waking up. And in that quiet golden hour, he found comfort.
His destination was always the same:
his favorite café.
Not because of the ingredients of its drinks—but because of its warm atmosphere, the lovable crew, and most of all… its owner.
The café’s owner—Dan—was more than just a familiar face. To Allen… he was like a father. And to Dan… Allen was like a son.
When Allen was a young child, he constantly visited Dan’s café. Back then, the café wasn’t successful at all—Dan struggled financially, barely able to live. It felt as though the world was against him…
Until one rainy night.
A small figure appeared behind the café’s front door.
A young Allen… silently watching Dan drink hot chocolate.
Dan noticed him.
He gently said, “Come here, little one,” in a calm, soft voice.
Allen hesitated.
Dan smirked and added, “Don’t be shy,” with a sarcastic tone.
He poured another cup. “Here… this one’s for you.”
Allen accepted, sat down, and drank it—his first taste of comfort.
Then Dan asked:
“Where is your home? Where are your parents?”
Allen replied with unexpected calmness:
“I don’t have parents. My home is in the forest. I live alone—but I can manage it.”
Dan was shaken. How could a child live alone like that?!
He asked again, “Do you know anything at all about your parents?”
Silence fell.
Dan felt he had asked something painful—he was about to apologize…
But then Allen slowly spoke.
He told Dan everything — about the orphanage… the mysterious man who brought him… the money given for his care… the promise of return. Then, one day… that man did return. He took Allen with him. He brought him to his current home — a place filled with everything a person could need: food, money, books, internet, knowledge, comfort…
But after two nights, before sunrise…
The man stood outside with Allen and said:
> “I must leave now. But you… shall stay here.
You are strong enough… wise enough.
Promise me this: you may go anywhere you wish…
but never abandon this home.
Promise me.”
Allen replied, “Promise.”
The man smiled. “I believe in you.”
He whispered something else—but Allen couldn’t hear it clearly.
And then… the man vanished.
Allen felt no fear. Only calmness.
But later… the money ended.
Life became hard.
He ate little… stretched every coin…
But he was still satisfied.
Dan listened to all this in silence.
Tears formed… but words failed him.
Finally… he spoke softly:
“Don’t worry… I’m here for you.”
Allen smiled. “Thank you… for everything.”
Dan replied, “But I didn’t do anything.”
Allen smiled wider:
“Yes, you did. You welcomed me. You listened. You cared.
That is something that must never be ignored.”
Dan felt… something.
Something he had been missing his entire life.
It was as if Allen filled the emptiness in his heart.
That night, Dan invited Allen to his home.
They shared a meal… watched movies… went to the rooftop to admire the stars…
And finally slept under the night sky—side by side.
Someone who truly cared for him.
And then—
? At sunrise — chaos descended… ?
A rooster crowed with the lungs of a thousand demons.
Dan instantly woke up, grabbed his slipper like a trained assassin, and threw it with perfect headshot precision.
The rooster dropped dead…
…then slowly peeked with one eye to check if the coast was clear.
Saw Dan staring.
Pretended to die again.
Dan: “Yeah. That’s what I thought.”
Allen: “…Is he dead?”
Rooster: 折( °﹃° ) – dramatically stops breathing
They both shrugged… and went straight back to sleep.
From that day onward, their cycle repeated.
Allen kept visiting… and every time, they created new memories…
until the day Allen discovered the truth—
Dan was completely broke.
Allen confronted him:
> “Why didn’t you tell me?! You couldn’t even afford a proper life!
Why would you care about me so much?!”
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
Dan stood… placed a hand on Allen’s shoulder… and smiled.
> “If there exists something money cannot buy…
then that ‘something’… is you.
Even if I owned the whole universe—
I would never trade it for you.
What I needed in my entire life……
was someone who truly mattered.
That someone… is you.”
Allen burst into tears.
“You’re the best thing that happened to me…”
But Dan answered:
“No… you are the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Allen insisted on helping him work at the café.
Here’s the comedy-filled sequence:
Allen: “Let me work with you to help you!”
Dan: “No.”
Allen: “Why not!?”
Dan (seriously): “Because I said no.”
Allen: “Hey!! That’s not how it works!”
Dan: “Fine… then work.”
Allen: “Really!?”
Dan: “No.”
Allen stared at him like a demon awakened.
Dan laughed nervously…
“I—I meant… maybe… we can talk about it someday.”
Allen (threateningly):
> “Don’t test me.”
Dan:
> “Or what?”
And of course…
Allen made Dan’s life absolute hell until he finally gave up and said:
> “FINE! YOU CAN WORK! JUST STOP TORTURING ME!”
That was the day Dan learned…
Never fight a determined 8-year-old.
From that day on… they worked together.
And things changed.
Not for the better…
For the legendary.
Allen—only 8 years old—brought customers like never before.
Through clever marketing, kindness, wit, and pure genius—
he turned the café into a miracle.
Soon… customers were waiting outside in lines.
Dan was speechless:
> “HOW ON EARTH CAN AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD DO THIS?!”
One morning, Allen even opened the café before Dan arrived.
At sunrise, with customers gathered… he gave a speech—
about Dan.
About how they met.
About how special he is.
And he ended with:
> “If I had to give the title
‘The Best Person I’ve Ever Known’…
it would be him—Dan.
He is like a father, like a friend…
even something far greater.
I love you, Dan…
From the heart.”
Dan entered at that moment…
Tears streamed down his face…
He rushed to Allen and hugged him tightly—
while the customers clapped… and cried.
That night…
they held a celebration.
The café was alive…
The people were happy…
And Allen & Dan experienced
the happiest night of their lives.
From that day forward…
they traveled…
they improved the café…
hired more crew…
lived life to the fullest.
This… was how Allen truly began his life.
Not from birth…
but from the moment destiny found him—
and gave him someone who truly cared.
An unforgettable story…
about something words cannot describe.
---
---
Until our present day…
Allen had been building himself—
brick by brick, skill by skill, dream by dream.
He traveled far and wide,
and learned anything and everything
that could be learned and mastered.
No challenge was ignored,
no knowledge left unexplored.
He tried every path a person could walk…
except the one he now stands upon—
the path of true adventure.
The path of the unknown.
Exploration.
Until the age of seventeen…
he had walked every road—
except destiny’s.
But now…
he stands closer than ever
to the single moment
that will change his future forever—
the moment his fate begins.
The moment destiny wakes.
---
Back to our day…
The present returns. The tale shifts once more —
from the echoes of the past… to the footsteps of now.
---
Allen arrived at the café, greeting the crew with that warm smile of his —
the kind of smile that spreads joy like sunlight across the whole place.
He sat with Dan, as always.
Two cups of hot chocolate were placed gently on the table —
just like the very first day they met.
And then…
Allen spoke.
> “Hey, Dan.”
Dan raised a brow.
> “What?”
Allen continued,
> “Do you remember my goals?”
Dan nodded softly.
> “Adventure… exploring the world, right?”
Allen stared at his cup for a moment… his voice steady.
> “Until now, I still haven’t found the real adventure.
I haven’t found that place… the one that changes everything.
Sometimes I fear I never will.
But I’m Allen.
And that means — I will never stop.
I’ll try every possible path… and I won’t leave a single place in this world
without setting foot on it first.”
As Allen spoke, Dan opened his mouth —
the crew looked at him too, as if they were waiting for him to say something.
But he stopped…
smiled quietly…
and said instead:
> “You’ve stayed long enough, haven’t you?
Don’t you have a tour to begin?”
Allen blinked — looked at the clock —
and jumped to his feet in surprise.
> “I spent THAT much time here!?!”
He quickly prepared to leave, then grinned at Dan:
> “See you later, Dan.
At the end of the day!”
And he left.
A moment of silence passed.
Andy — one of the crew — leaned toward Dan.
> “Aren’t you going to tell him?”
Dan looked toward the door Allen had just walked through…
and answered with a calm smile:
> “If I told him now…
he would surpass the speed of infinity and time itself trying to reach it.
Let the boy enjoy his day first.
He’ll return at the end of the day…
and then — I’ll tell him.”
Andy nodded.
> “You’re right.”
Dan stood up.
> “Come on. Let’s get back to work.”
And meanwhile…
Allen stepped out into the town —
unaware that his ordinary tour…
was the final calm
before the critical point…
that would change everything.
---
---
Allen continued his tour through the town —
not to meet friends…
but to meet everyone.
Because in this town, everyone was his friend.
Not out of obligation — but out of genuine affection.
They all knew and expected it…
He was Allen, after all.
His tour included activities, challenges, conversations, laughter —
and naturally, Allen topped every challenge.
Which only encouraged people to challenge him more.
Like a tradition at this point.
While eating a slice of pizza, someone suddenly asked:
> “Hey, Allen — when was the last time you measured your height?”
Allen casually answered, mid-bite,
> “Last Friday. It was 190 cm.”
The guy raised an eyebrow.
> “And last year?”
Allen shrugged.
> “180 cm. Why?”
The guy stared at him like he had just witnessed a scientific anomaly.
> “BRO.
You didn’t even finish your seventeenth year…
And you’re already the height of a small mountain!
You don’t work out… you don’t hit the gym… you don’t follow ANY body routines…
Yet you’re strong as HELL — even though you’re slim as a stick—
(okay maybe not that slim—don’t kill me)
and AGILE like AIR—
no, wait… AGILE LIKE NOTHING AT ALL.
Just imagine if you ACTUALLY trained!
You’d be unstoppable!”
Allen kept eating like a monster — unfazed.
The guy continued, curious:
> “And every time I forget to ask —
why is the left side of your hair white,
and the other side light blue?”
Allen swallowed, took another bite, and replied:
> “Believe me —
if I knew,
I’d tell you.
Even I don’t know.”
And the tour went on.
He tried everything — joined every activity —
beat everyone at their own specialties.
Yet strangely…
no one ever hated or envied him.
Not a single person.
Instead, they loved him even more.
Because with his nature — his charm — his attitude…
Allen could make anyone love him.
As expected from him.
And finally — as the sun began to set —
Allen walked back toward the café…
smiling.
Happy.
Satisfied.
His tour was complete.
But the day was far from over.
---
---
Just before Allen entered the café…
he paused and looked at the horizon.
To his surprise, the guy who asked about his hair color — Matt — was coming at the speed of light.
And Allen instantly knew… this wasn’t for something ordinary.
Matt skidded to a stop in front of him, slightly out of breath:
> “Remember when I asked you about your hair color?”
Allen raised an eyebrow.
> “Yes.”
Matt nodded, then pointed at Allen’s eyes.
> “Well… I have the same question about your eyes.
Why is your left eye light grey and sometimes white , and the other eye light blue — like your hair?”
Allen froze. His mouth dropped open.
> “Did you really run 2 km just for this!?”
Matt grinned sheepishly:
> “Well… yes. But actually, no.”
Allen’s shock softened. He laughed and shook his head.
> “Well… same question, same answer.”
Then Allen leaned slightly, eyes curious.
> “From the way you’re acting… I take it you came for something else, right?”
Matt nodded. He held out a small box with a warm smile:
> “Right. Here… take this.
Open it only when you feel stuck at something.
I doubt that will happen, but… I wanted to help.
And don’t ask me what’s inside the box — that’s why I put it in the box.”
Allen’s smile grew warm:
> “Thanks… for everything.
I know this will help — maybe even be crucial.”
Matt tilted his head, confused:
> “Everything?
This is literally the only favor I’ve ever done for you…”
Allen chuckled, simply:
> “Just take it.”
Matt smiled, relaxed:
> “Okay then… until next time.
See ya.”
He waved, turning back toward his path.
Allen waved back enthusiastically:
> “See you later!”
Matt replied with a grin:
> “I will too!”
And with that, they each went their own way.
Matt headed home, and Allen finally stepped into the café…
---
While walking toward his seat, Allen thought to himself:
> “Matt trusts me so much… he didn’t even make sure I’d only open the box when I’m actually stuck.
If it were someone else, they’d probably say ‘never, ever open it!’ a hundred times…”
He paused for a moment, giggled to himself, and whispered with a smile:
> “Wow… I’m so deep.”
And with that, he continued on his way, toward Dan and the cozy familiarity of the café.
---
---
Allen had a seat and looked at Dan.
“How is everything?” he asked.
Dan smiled brightly, eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Great… more than great!”
Curious, Allen leaned in.
“What’s on your mind?”
Dan’s expression turned serious, yet warm.
“Listen carefully…” he said.
“There’s one place you haven’t explored yet, and it’s been right in front of you all this time.”
Allen’s eyes widened.
“What is it?”
Dan leaned closer, lowering his voice.
“The forest you live in… You haven’t truly explored it yet. There’s a cottage in the middle of the woods. I passed by it once, and I felt… something—something that breaks the laws of logic and physics and–”
Before Dan could finish, Allen spat out his drink in utter surprise.
“Pffff! The hell am I doing here?! I’m going!!”
Dan’s jaw dropped in shock at Allen’s reaction, barely believing the boy had acted before hearing the full story.
Allen was already preparing to leave when Dan shouted,
“Allen!”
“What is it?” Allen called back.
“You don’t even know the location,” Dan warned.
Allen smiled, unbothered.
“You may be right… but exploration is exploration. I won’t waste the taste of it.”
Dan’s smile softened.
“I see… move in your way, start your journey.”
Allen paused for a moment and looked back.
“Allen,” Dan called again.
He waited.
“I believe in you,” Dan said warmly.
Allen returned the gesture with a thumbs-up. Dan mirrored it—something small, but meaningful when shared with Allen.
As Allen dashed off, Dan murmured in thought:
“You are up to the challenge… Chosen One.”
The crew smiled at the display.
Dan turned to Andy.
“Does he trust me this much? He didn’t even let me finish or doubt what I said?”
Andy chuckled in awe.
“Of course he does! You’re Dan, after all.”
They both watched Allen rush toward the forest, smiles spreading across their faces.
Dan nodded.
“You’re right.”
---
Allen raced through the town…
(In the attic of a forgotten, hidden cottage lies a book…)
Arrived at the cliff…
The staircase was too far, so he took the hard way…
(One said to hold the power to change the fate of whoever possesses it.)
Climbing with unmatched skill, the steep edge almost seemed to pull him down…
(A book capable of disturbing the fabric of time and space…)
He reached the forest…
(Linking worlds and realms beyond imagination.)
Ran past his house and plunged into the deep woods…
(It can alter the course of any world — even this one.)
Searching the forest relentlessly for the cottage, showing no signs of exhaustion…
(But above all… it grants power.)
Searched everywhere…
(But only one… Only one… Only one in this world of despair, disappointment, and monotony is the Chosen One…)
Until…
(The only worthy one. No one before him… And no one after him, from any world… Has the worthiness to claim it but him.)
He finally found it…
(He is the only one deserving the power to rule all worlds… To restore balance… And to spread peace…)
Shouting in pure joy:
“Yyeeeeaaaahh!!!”
(Among all creatures of all worlds… He alone merits all that is good — for his attitude and worthiness.)
Rushed toward it…
(Unlike how the system usually works… Where power is controlled by the Greater Wills, granted according to the desires of those who already hold it…)
Reached the door…
(This book breaks the rules. It grants power according to worthiness…)
Entered, seeking the object that could alter his fate and destiny…
(And this is why it chose the Chosen One. When the Greatest Will is worthy to possess power… The system will rest in the right hands.)
Nothing…
(Fairness, justice, and worthiness… Will finally have a voice in a world that once saw them as weakness.)
Until…
(Only one can return the worlds to their rightful path… This is his fate… and destiny…)
He felt it. The strange presence Dan had mentioned…
(And with the power of the book… And its worthy possessor… With the worthiness of the possessor… And the guidance of the book… The prophecy will be fulfilled.)
It emanated from the attic of the forgotten, hidden cottage…
(But who knows… It all depends on him. The path of the worlds… And their fate… Rests in his hands…)
Found the secured ladder…
(The Chosen One… Allen!)
Climbed it…
(The journey starts… Now! Let the journey begin!)
Reached the attic…
And finally saw it…
---
The Book…
---
From now on…
The Journey of the Chosen One…
BEGINS!!
Let the Chosen One start his journey toward his fate and destiny!!!
LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN!!!
---
> “Thus began the story… of the one who should never exist. …and yet, must.”
