Part 7 the journey in another world begins

  …

What a nice morning I wake up and saw Meena dazing upon me staring directly into my soul, I terrified ly asked, what is it, she shook her head with a gentle no… I was confused, wait you didn’t sleep for the entire night, with a constant daze, she said no…

  Me: why!

She explained, because…(not understanding a bit of what she said) … but I think you should sleep when you get time ( if you stere at me like that whole night I might not be able to sleep plus the cost of other room is too much ) , she replied with a straight why which pointed directly towards my heart (now what should I say ) , it’s because ( it’s because your gaze is terrifying , but I can’t say that, “now think you meat head” )… it’s because sleeping with a closed one is one of the best way to spend time with each other( wait what kind of answer is that you meat head, “I feel like putting myself into the gutter”) , she said really (so that’s how they spent their time in other world… fascinating ), “said curiously” makes sense …

Me (thinking) she bought is, I can’t believe I fooled her

  …

We are live at a small town named Azia, we registered ourself at a merchants guild and adventures guilds where we pay to get information about objects or treasures from dungeon and rights to explore different dungeons, we basically buy rights on specific floors of dungeon and explore it, get items and sell them to adventures guild but certain exclusive items were to only sold to merchants guild only plus if you want to open a shop or sell items after customization you need a licence from merchants guild…

My goal is to simply find items and customize and sell it to get profit

  …

(everything was happening according to plan until I saw…it was terrifying sight, I froze in fear)

We are currently searching for a quest in the Adventurers' Guild. Quests are bonus missions that you can take, and by completing them, you can get a large sum of money. Sometimes it’s as easy as finding herbs, and sometimes as difficult as defeating a dragon. I noticed Meena was not searching for a quest…

I shouted, "Help me find a quest! Don’t just stand there…"

She asked why we need to find a quest. "Because quests give extra money upon completion, that’s why…"

  "Master, I found one…"

"Really? Let me see…" My heart almost stopped. "We can’t do that!"

  "Why not?" she asked.

"It’s because you took a quest to slay a Dragon! And not just an ordinary Dragon; it’s a Great Volcanic Red Dragon. Those are the most ferocious creatures that can only be found inside a volcano…"

This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

  "So?" she asked curiously.

[Side note: Actually, Meena is really curious about the creatures that evolved because of her (refer to Ch 5)]

"So, we are not doing it, and that’s final!" (I don't want to die this early; my journey just started).

  "Okay," she said softly.

"How about this quest? We just have to find some glow stones on the 3rd floor of the dungeon." So, I registered the quest and prepared to explore the 3rd floor.

  Arc II

And that’s how we ended up here to explore the dungeon… Meena proceeds to enter, but I shout. Meena stops, looking curiously to ask why. It’s because... (I can’t tell her I am scared to enter the dungeon; I need to prepare myself mentally first).

"Listen, Meena, never forget to pray to Goddess Ishtar and the God of Destruction before entering the dungeon."

She tilted her head gently and asked why. I explained that Goddess Ishtar guides you through the dungeon and increases your chances of finding loot, while the God of Destruction destroys any obstacles in your path.

"But I think they are too busy to help you with that," Meena replied.

Me: "But it's custom, so we have to do it!" (At least let me take a deep breath before entering. It’s not the 1st floor, it’s the 3rd; there will be monsters all over that floor, why don’t you understand?)

I made up my mind: I will enter the dungeon, take those glow stones, and run for my life. With that mindset, we entered.

Everything was dark, so I broke a mana stone which activated all the glowing plants inside. It was really beautiful. Some were blue, some were green; it felt like heaven, as if time itself had stopped. Some plants on the walls were glowing, making the place look like a dream. When I looked at Meena, I saw what looked like an angel in front of me, but I avoided eye contact and proceeded to search the floor. The 1st floor usually doesn't have any monsters, so after exploration, we went to the second floor.

From here, the difficulty starts. (Goblins, killer rabbits, and toxic bugs start appearing now. I am scared, but I can’t show it to her). But for Meena, she is only interested in meeting new creatures.

[Side note: Actually, Haru only thinks Meena is a human that he accidentally transported to this world (refer to Ch 2)]

We entered the second floor. Everything was dark, so I took out my mana torch and turned it on. This floor is like a narrow, dark cave. We walked for almost half an hour with no exit and not a single monster until, suddenly, we heard a loud roar. I took out my sword and approached the sound. I was certain it was around the next turn… then it suddenly attacked.

A magic barrier covered me. It was terrifying. It was not a normal goblin; it was something else. I remembered people talking about the appearance of a Mutant Goblin King. It was right there in front of my eyes. It was huge, dark green, with a mana stone in the center of its forehead and three heads. I was terrified and didn't know what to do when I saw…

Meena suddenly stepped out of the barrier. I tried to stop her, but I was too terrified to move. I stood frozen. Meanwhile…

Meena stood in front of it, surrounded by her own barrier, curious about what kind of species this was. She casually pulled off the head in the center that held the gemstone. The monster screamed in pain. Without that mana stone, it was losing its strength. It was constantly screaming and hitting Meena; blood from its head was splattering everywhere (it was terrifying, like a horror movie).

Meanwhile, Meena kept analyzing the head inside her pretty little barrier while the monster's body kept shrinking and evaporating. Meena teleported us back to our home and explained:

"Those are not a regular species. Those were genetically modified to affect humans only. That’s why I teleported us. Master, if you had stayed there for even a second, you would have turned into a goblin."

  "What? Really?" I said.

"Yes," Meena replied with a serious face.

And that’s when I realized, she is not an ordinary human. She has special powers...

[Side note: Actually, he still thinks she is a human from this world, which is why he thinks she can do magic like barriers (refer to Ch 2)]
