The two of them stopped in the
middle of the quiet place.
The creature looked around, but her mind was elsewhere.
Only one image was clear in her thoughts…
The red dragon.
She tightened her hands slightly and said out loud,
“I have to look for the dragon.”
The yellow dragon turned to her quickly, shock clear on his face.
“What? There’s another dragon on this planet?”
She nodded.
“Yes. He was the first being I met here, but we were separated when the wind became strong. I don’t know where he is now.”
The yellow dragon’s eyes widened, unable to hide his excitement.
“Oh wow… I can’t believe it! Another dragon like me? That’s amazing!”
He stepped forward, speaking with clear enthusiasm.
“If you allow me, I want to help you search for him. I don’t want to stay alone on this planet.”
The creature was surprised for a moment, then smiled.
“That would be great… let’s search together.”
They walked a few steps, then the yellow dragon suddenly stopped.
He looked at her hesitantly and asked,
“What should I call you?”
She hesitated, then replied softly,
“I don’t know… I don’t remember my name.”
After a brief pause, she asked him,
“And you? Do you know your name?”
He shook his head.
“No… I don’t either.”
Silence settled between them for a moment.
Then the yellow dragon said,
“How about we choose names for ourselves? It would make things easier.”
Her eyes lit up.
“That’s a lovely idea.”
He studied her for a moment, noticing her small body and slightly larger head, then said with a faint smile,
“I’ll call you… Bani.”
She froze for a second, then smiled brightly.
“Bani… I like that name.”
She looked at him in return, taking in his yellow color and calm glow, then said,
“And you… I’ll call you Sora.”
He paused, then nodded.
“Sora… yes. That’s my name now.”
At that very moment ..
The water behind Bani moved.
She turned sharply.
Small bubbles began rising from the surface of the lake, one after another.
Sora said nervously,
“Look… the water is moving.”
Bani didn’t answer.

She could only stare.
The bubbles rose faster, and the water began to spin slowly.
A whirlpool started to form.
From within the water, a single voice emerged.
The same voice they had heard before.
It spoke in a deep, terrifying tone:
“Move… you are wasting time.”
Bani stepped back, her heart pounding.
At the same moment, Sora felt something shift beneath his feet.
The grass moved.
Then the ground beneath him began to shake.
Bani shouted,
“Sora! The ground is moving under you!”
The earth cracked slightly, and the same voice came from below:
“Move… you are wasting time.”
The two froze in fear.
The same voice.
The same tone.
The voice that had awakened them when they were unconscious.
The whirlpool began moving toward Bani.
The ground cracked wider beneath Sora.
Bani grabbed Sora’s hand tightly.
“Run!”
They ran as fast as they could.
The whirlpool chased Bani,
and the ground split beneath Sora.
Inside her mind, Bani thought,
Will I drown again?
Inside his, Sora thought,
Will the ground swallow me?
They didn’t stop running
until they saw a small hill ahead,
with a tiny wooden cabin surrounded by flowers.
They reached it and knocked on the door.
No answer.
Sora said quickly,
“The door’s open!”
They rushed inside, and Sora shut the door behind them.
At that exact moment, everything stopped.
No sound of water.
No shaking ground.
Bani was breathing heavily, still holding Sora’s hand.
She slowly looked around.
The cabin was small.
Wooden.
Empty.
She said weakly,
“Is it… over?”
Sora didn’t answer right away.
He listened carefully, watching the silence.
Moments passed.
Nothing.
Finally, he said,
“The voice is gone… but I don’t feel safe.”
Bani looked at him uneasily.
“Neither do I.”
A heavy silence followed.
Then Bani said quietly,
“That voice… it wasn’t shouting.
It was giving orders.”
Sora nodded slowly.
“As if it doesn’t want us to stop.”
Elsewhere on the same planet,
the red dragon sat beneath a large tree.
His small body was still, but his mind wasn’t.
He was lost in thought, trying to figure out where to begin searching.
He didn’t know where she was.
He didn’t know which direction to take.
All that remained in his memory was the storm… and the wind that had thrown them apart.
He took a slow breath, trying to calm himself,
then ..
Something brushed against his shoulder.
He froze.
His breath caught,
and his entire body stiffened.
He didn’t turn right away.
Fear reached him first.
Slowly, he shifted his eyes toward his shoulder,
his heart pounding.
It was the tree’s leaves.
But they hadn’t been that close a moment ago.
He lifted his head quickly
and saw the branches above him bending down,
their leaves brushing against his head and shoulders.
He stepped back without thinking.
At that moment, the same voice spoke ..
close and clear:
“Move… you are wasting time.”
The red dragon backed away, his head raised in fear as he stared at the tree.
And then he remembered.
It was the same voice.
The voice he had heard while unconscious.
His body trembled on its own.
Inside his mind, he thought:
A tree is talking to me?
How is this possible?
Is this planet trying to drive me insane?
Before he could catch his breath ..
The branches burst forward violently.
He stood frozen, staring at the impossible sight.
The branches shot toward him, sharp and fast, like blades.
He finally moved.
He ran at full speed between the trees, his heart nearly bursting from his chest.
But the branches followed him, stretching from other trees, as if the entire forest had turned against him.
He turned, stumbled, and fell.
He tried to get up, but the branches crept closer… slowly and steadily.
He lifted his head and saw what he hadn’t expected.
He was standing at the edge of a high cliff.
Below him lay distant ground and dense trees .. unknown, and dangerous.
His thoughts raced.
What should he do?
Jump into the unknown?
Or wait for the branches to reach him and end everything?
He hesitated ..
just for a moment ..
And the danger drew closer.
