As the ice began its task of spreading to anything and everything nearby, the Chiefs moved quickly and used their own mana to cover the weaker Goblins from the encroaching ice.
Minister Franc took this moment to dark towards Rick with no plans of executing a meticulous display of sword ability.
No the Minister had only one goal in mind.
One attack to end it all.
There was no time for anything else in his mind. While his frozen world would be good enough to cull masses of weaker individuals, he knew it was nothing more than something a bit more than nuisance for beings that matched him in power.
Though he would never complain about that as it’s the first skill the world had managed to recognize his efforts for.
The second one on the other hand…
That skill was something that cared little for a target and simply sought to take the life of every single in it’s path.
Minister Franc gripped his sword tightly and a disgusting amount of mana into the weapon, all in preparation for the skill he was about to unleash.
Rick rooted his feet upon seeing the approaching danger and prepared to use the most devasting skill in his own arsenal. There was no running from something like this, especially since the Chiefs has spread around the area to stop the spread of ice, and the members of the Royal Guard wouldn’t be enough to stop the incoming attack.
He would have to stand his ground and meet the attack of Minister Franc head on!
Once he was close enough, the Minister left his feet and then raised his sword high above his head, as the entire blade was now a beautiful icy blue.
As he began the motion to bring it down, all manner of ranged attacks from the Chiefs and the members of the Royal Guard came his way, but none of them reach before the clash.
Rick didn’t back off for one second.
He grit his teeth and raised his spear and then roared out as he poured everything he had into one last attack.
“KHAAL’DREZ!!!”
“PIERCE THE HEAVENS!!”
Both Rick and Minister Franc unleashed the pinnacle of their own powers and directed it at each other. Neither willing to back down, to take a step back, or to lose to the enemy.

They both attacked with the full intention of killing their opponent and then some.
And as if responding to the force and power contained in their attacks, all sound seemed to be sucked away from the area as the world seemed to pause to watch the result of the battle.
A mass of green and icy blue quickly meshed together to form a catastrophic explosion that shook the forest around them for miles.
Trees lifted from the ground.
Humans and Goblins alike were thrown in various directions.
Then the sound came back.
VWOOOOOOOOSHHHHH!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!
…
It took a few disorientating moments for the area to clear somewhat before a voice cut through the atmosphere.
“TO THE KING!!! NOW!!!”
Commander Meegra was the first to cry out as she gathered herself and quickly spread her senses far and wide as she did her best to find the location of her King.
It didn’t take her long to find him.
For the massive crater that formed at the eye of the explosion couldn’t be missed even if she tried.
“ROYAL GUARDS GATHER!”
She didn’t wait for a response, as she darted towards the crater with all that she had.
Of course, there were a few beings faster than her.
When Chief Grul landed in the crater and saw the mangled body of Rick, he almost collapsed right then and there until he realized he was still breathing.
“THE KING NEEDS HELP!!”
Before long, every Goblin in the area were scrambling to get to him and the members of the Royal Guard were first in line with the exception of the Chiefs who reached first.
Meanwhile Rick, who was fading in and out of consciousness suddenly felt hands and touching him, and a stream of mana entering his body.
He parted his lips for the briefest of moments to mutter one last sentence before the hold of unconsciousness took him in full.
“…Leave…none…alive….”
The Goblins around him froze for a second, before a grim determination took root in their hearts.
“THE KING HAS SPOKEN! LEAVE NONE OF THEM ALIVE!!”
There were still more than a few thousand Knights still alive in the area. Some were running not out of cowardice but to deliver the news of what transpired here.
Others seemed to be nursing gruesome wounds as best they could, while more able bodied knights were doing their best to help their the ones who couldn’t help themselves.
And finally, a scant few were gathering arms in an effort to once again begin battle against the Goblins surrounding them.
There were a lot shouts, screams of pain, confusion filled cries, distraught yelps as more and more of them came to the realization that this would be the day they died.
With the fact that their command structure was in disarray they were barely prepared for another full assault from thousands of Goblins that were now attacking with a vengeance.
The full might of Five Tier Seven Goblins bore down on the group in full.
All of this was happening as Rick was being transported back by Chief Kog and his full contingent of injured but all alive Royal Guards.
Completely oblivious to the massacre taking place behind him.
No matter how fast they ran, or how far they ran, there wasn’t a Goblin too far away.
Quickly and with a morbid sort of efficiency, the net around the Verdan Kingdom’s Knights closed until all 6000 Knights were killed down to the very last man.
The Goblins had never fought with such drive even when they faced the hordes within the Dark Lands of Mir.
Such was the crime of touching the one being that the Goblins would consider their reverse scale.
Not a single Goblin in the Dark Lands of Mir would hold anything back if the fight was in defense of their King.
Today, the humans learned that in full.
That the Goblins that called the Dark Lands of Mir home, would not be evicted so easily.
