A few days after the small tournament ended, the infirmary is now empty, save for James and Laura.

  The two lay in two parallel beds, facing each other.

  The two do nothing but just look into each others eyes for what feels like hours.

  Laura then breaks the long silence, sitting up a bit in her cot.

  "So, what's that new little trick of yours?"

  James follows her actions, sitting up as well.

  "Well, I was gonna make an announcement but I didn't really have much of a chance."

  Laura's eyes widen.

  "It's called Snatch, it lets me drain from people's Aura."

  "It makes it so I can expand my Aura reserves and use other people's aspects."

  Laura holds a silence, thinking of what to say.

  "So what's it like."

  James looks confused.

  "What's what like?"

  Laura sighs.

  "What's it like having multiple powers, genius."

  James then realizes.

  "Oooohhhhh."

  "I probably should've noticed, maybe I took a few too many hits to the head from Aaron."

  Laura chuckles.

  "Yeah, his knees are pretty hard now."

  "Maybe we should've stopped him from training with Ferrul."

  The two burst out in laughter, which then fades into silence.

  Laura breaks the silence first, getting up to sit on the edge of her cot.

  "So, does that mean you can use..."

  "His Aspect too?"

  James sits at the edge of his cot too, looking down at his feet.

  "Yeah, I can..."

  "...But I won't, not unless I need to."

  "I wouldn't disrespect his memory like that."

  The two stand up together, inching closer.

  They then come together in the middle, warming each other in a deep embrace.

  The two fall into Laura's cot, falling asleep, tangled up in each other's limbs and warmth.
