On fateful day down by the seaside
Water turned inside the boat,
Drunk in rage, the old man made ‘em float,
Out to sea and in a storm,
Water poured and poured and poured,
But he couldn’t leave his place of home,
So
He sat there until it capsized.
The remains were found in the houseboat, out to sea
He’d lived there since 1963
Dead as a doornail as Charles would say,
Charlie sat there dead as dried hay,
At peace with life,
At peace with the world,
All Cause little houseboat couldn’t stand the storm.
