Problem (2)

This feels... Familiar?, did the original riento read this book? Maybe he used this book for gathering holy power and mana?. Riento thought, flipping the book to the first page like he had always done this.

He read the first few paragraphs.

This really feels familiar. Maybe muscle memory? I mean that's probably how Luke knew where the original riento used to go. Riento assumed. Not knowing if it was true or not, well. Not that he has a way of proving his theory.

Unless he asks Luke himself, which would cast confusion and suspicion on him.

"Huh. So that's how it works?." Riento read and saw a diagram/painted picture of how mana works inside the body.

?mana works in interesting ways, it even has multiple ways of storage inside the core.

  - mana core : the most simple and common one found in mages. A basic way of storage, and trivial in ways you can imagine.

  - mana hall : now, this is the most rarest one you can find in the world currently if you search for it. Few know it. Like the main magic towers like the white magic tower, azure magic tower, and more. I should only be accessible to the 2nd grade disciples who's core hasn't developed yet, if I believe so. They banned accumulation and refinement with mana for the 3rd grade disciples and lower.

  - mana circle : no one knows this. After all, I created it. What a funny thing. The best way to store mana was in the name of the hierarchy in magic!. Circles! It operates way more efficient than any other way to store mana for magic!.

Cough. Heh, you probably didn't expect me to write down cough itself?, oops, got sidetracked. Anyways, you get the gist of it. About how to accumulate and gather energy to form a circle. I will explain that letter. For those who seek and go onto the holy path. I'll tell you about the ways to store them. And what are the cores of it.

  - Holy Core : most would know about this right?, the most common found?. It's inefficient. Like the mana core, it's location is the core inside your head.

  - Holy Stars : used by the bishops and saints of old. Also preferably used by the founder of magic and swordsmanship. It is located on the soul itself. Amazing right?. The founder created the way to store holy power inside the upper core for the weaker and less talented ones who wished to become a servant of the holy. Oh right, he did this for magic with the mana core And for swordsmanship with the aura core.

Now for the way to accumulate them...?

He flipped through pages without stopping. Undergoing a state called by the world, 'trance'

A state of hyperfocus and enlightenment, anything that happens or had been read in this state would immediately be understood.

Most would unable to enter this state, seeing as most don't have this much mental strength and relief. Only geniuses would have been able to enter and reach this state.

Page after page, he read them all. Not leaving a single word behind. He didn't even notice the paper cut he had gotten from continuous flipping.

It stung, the papercut. His mind was elsewhere.

Flipping to the last page, he read it.

?ah so you reached the last page?, Then I must say, Thank you for reading this book of mine, Though it seems more like a diary right?.

  Haha.

This is my last gift to you, My 'Disciple'. Anyone who reads my book even to the last page I consider my disciple.

The greatest magic and holy library, My library. I've hidden it, Only those who read this book and could understand it knows.

You didn't notice right? Everything written in this book was written in English, Japanese, and Korean?. You were far too focused and indulged in the secrets and knowledge of this book to notice!.

Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation.

The Kralm Mountains, Northeast of the great library of the holy Kingdom, You'll find a cave near the port city. That's where my library resides.

Go on, venture out. My little 'saint.'

You didn't expect me to know? Right? It will explain itself later on. I left a note for you. Inside my library.

All my riches, my knowledge resides there!.

You'll need a code of course.

It's "The Transmigrator's Life". Unoriginal right?. Of course, you'll have to say that in The Yuren Language, which is used by the saint and bishops.

Ah, the page. It's nearly run out. I'll end it here.

Hope you have a safe and rewarding journey, my little saint.?

Riento's jaw clenched, Fingers tightening around the book cover. Before stopping. Quickly recovering from the new information that was shown to him in the book.

The last sentence had snapped Riento out of his daze. What?. This book... Was written in the language of earth? I'm not the only transmigrator?. This man... He got me figured out, he knew I would be in a trance while reading this...

That was... Interesting. What an interesting piece of literature. It sucked me right into reading it that I even finished the entire book in one sitting. Without moving from my spot at that. Riento thought, closing the book and shoving it into it's original place. "I learned many things now..."

He chuckled. "Thank you mysterious author."

"It was a fun read." He smiled, letting his hand simmer on the book's cover, it was strange. The book didn't have an author written down. letting his hand down. He looked around, turning his body back. "I'll check out that place later."

Walking to the entrance, he saw luke once more.

As soon as Luke saw Riento, a smile plastered over his face. "Saint!, did you have a wonderful experience reading?." He asked, fixing the gold rimmed silver spectacles on his face. Lips curled up into a smile.

Riento turned to face luke smiling back at him. "Yes mister, I had enlightenment. I'll come back tomorrow right after my training—"

He paused, remembering something. "Ah, right. Mister, How long has passed since I entered the library?."

Luke after hearing riento's question, Grabbed something out of the pockets of his robe. It was a watch. He opened the cover, looking at the time.

4:38pm, Riento came inside the library at exactly 11:38am.

He looked quite shocked. "Exactly 5 hours. Saint, you usually only spent 2 hours here, Rarely going above 3 hours... you really enjoyed the book you were reading didn't you?." Luke smiled, soon after. Replacing the shock of his face.

  "Ah..."

Riento smiled awkwardly. Scratching the side of his head. "Yes, I enjoyed it." He bowed, hand to his chest.

  "I'll get going now mister."

"Yes, have a safe trip saint." Luke stood up. Bowing hand to his chest, before waving Riento off.

The door of the great library opened, closing soon after. Leaving the library in silence once more.

It would become like this once more tomorrow, and the day after.

  ———

Riento breathed a sigh of relief. "That was nerve-wracking... I didn't know how riento acts around Luke."

"Thankfully he didn't notice anything weird." He wiped dust off his shoulder, Looking around.

Right, practice fixing my cores first. The book also had a part where it said how to fix the cores... Though why would fixing a core take 5 days of work?!.

He complained in his mind, Scoffing.

He turned to face where the direction of where the stairs to the top were. His posture visibly dipped. "I-i have to go back up? I forgot! Damn it."

He complained once more. Forcing himself to move towards there.

Why does riento's room have to be so high up! Suddenly someone called out his name.

"Saint Riento! Don't forget. You have a meeting with important individuals!."

Riento turned around before his eyes landed onto the middle-aged maid, she looked youthful, Barely past 20. Curly Brown hair, her side bangs braided, emerald eyes. She was riento's maid, Since he was young.

Ah!. Riento's maid, Emily. She was quite warm too. Like Luke. If I remember the young Riento had a crush on her. He instinctively smiled. Barely managing himself to stop a snicker because of his thoughts.

That was close, wait. Did I hear her right? Important individuals?.

"Ah, right. When will they come?." Riento asked his maid.

"Huh? Why does it feel like you matured saint?. Umm, Right! Later this afternoon. Before evening I believe." She answered. Fidgeting with her hands.

Huh? Matured?. Ah... Don't tell me he doesn't act mature around her?. He cleared his throat at the realization.

"When it turns evening, Inform me of then Emily."

She nodded, Smiling. "yes, i'll do exactly that saint."

  He waved her off.

And thus he began his journey up, and to his room.

  ———

That was tiring! it's even worse that there is no elevator here!

I miss my phone. He thought to himself. Before sitting down, his legs crossed.

He put his hands together, swallowing his saliva. "Here it goes. I'll try to fix first my upper core."

Closing his eyes, he began to visualize the upper core in his head. At the same time, he tried to feel the faint holy power around him.

His skin felt warm, Due to the holy power. It's warm... He began to visualize grabbing hold of the holy power, and slowly guiding it to the upper core.

When It entered his body, his veins, muscles, joints all felt warm and fuzzy. Like he was in a sauna, But hitting even his inner muscles. Not just his skin.

The holy power soon began to manifest in the physical world, as a golden brilliant light. Veins began to pop out of his arms, all the way to his head. It was a sign of an abundance of holy power gathering into his upper core. Which will be used to repair it.

Soon, a singular crack began healing out of the hundreds if not thousands of cracks in the upper core.

He felt an urge to joke in his thoughts, but quickly repressed it at the fear and worry it might ruin something and make the destruction in his body worse.

Soon, a knock came. Snapping him out of yet another trance. He quickly stood up, wiping dust off his shoulders.

"Saint, it's evening. The guests are here. First floor. In your office." A voice of a woman came through, it was Emily.

"Tell them I'll come after I changed clothes." He replied back, as the sounds of retreating footsteps echoed.

He didn't notice. But now that he looked in the mirror he was sweating... Yuk, it's sticky. He sighed. Taking off his clothes one by one.

Changing into a new attire. He adjusted his white trousers, the jacket, the collar. Parting his hair in the middle.

He tidied up his room first, making sure everything looks alright. I have to look professional now... I wonder what this meeting is for, Who those important individuals were. Why does the memories have to be so fragmented?. He sighed, walking out his room.

He slowly made his way down to the first floor, greeting everyone he passed by with a smile. And checking out the paintings once more, Feeling jealousy from their looks once more.

That was fast... He reached the first floor. Looking around, He digged through the memories that wasn't his. Where is it... His office...

There!. Riento began walking to where his office was.

Grabbing the handle, as he opened the door. The light of the room illuminating his handsome face as soon as he walked in.

He closed the door behind him. Bowing in respect. He finally looked up to see who were these so called important individuals.
