Rezok faced him fully now. “To breaking inevitability.”
Damsul’s eyes widened with awe. “You would use him?”
Rezok nodded. “Not yet. First… we isolate.”
He gestured again.
Images flickered rapidly:
- Heaven’s army withdrawing
- Sir Dracks rebuilding the dojo
- Lucky laughing

“They are strongest together,” Rezok said. “So we don’t strike them together.”
Damsul smiled, sharp and reverent. “You want them to fracture.”
“Yes.”
Rezok’s voice lowered. “We will give Heaven a reason to move. Give the dragon a reason to choose. Give the boy a reason to break.”
Damsul knelt again. “Command me.”
Rezok placed a hand on Damsul’s head.
“Go to the swamps first,” Rezok said. “Leave signs. Old symbols. Let Sir Dracks recognize them.”
Damsul shuddered. “And the boy?”
Rezok’s smile returned.
“Danny comes last.”
