The Mindscape trembled.
Adonis felt it before he saw it—the slow, choking crawl of venom seeping through the dunes of his inner world. The air turned acrid, dunes sinking into themselves, psionic glyph-lines buckling and hissing as if burned by acid.
A shadow rose.
The Scorpion King forced its way into his mind, its towering form blotting out the false sun of the Mindscape. Pincers jagged as obsidian, stinger glowing with viridian fire, glyphs of corruption etched across its carapace in backward lines that should not exist.
Adonis’s thoughts pulsed. Psionic Particle Count: 1,470. High Consciousness Threshold stabilized. His telekinesis hummed sharper, threads splitting finer than hair, strong enough to shape mass without strain.
He spread his hand. The dunes answered.
Sand Golem Construct — 4,000 lbs. Summoned ×3.
Three warriors rose from the earth, each the size of titans, sand compacted into dense stone muscle. They no longer moved clumsy, but with articulated precision. Psionic joints flexed. Sand-shields locked.
The Scorpion King roared, a grinding screech that shook the sky. It lunged.
The first golem was caught in its pincer, crushed to shards in an instant. The second tried to spear the stinger, but the glyphs warped space around the strike, bending the spear before it landed. The third swung a hammer of compacted stone—only to be ripped in half by the King’s other claw.
Adonis flinched, the backlash hitting his nerves. “So fast…”
Twin shadows blurred at his sides.
Selene leapt forward, her frost spears gleaming like shards of moonlight. She hurled them one after another, the ice not melting but holding in the Mindscape’s psionic storm, cracking against the monster’s legs.
Kalen blinked into existence beside her, void arrows already flying. Each one curved mid-air, bending around the King’s claws to strike at weak joints. “Move, Selene!” He vanished again, reappearing behind the beast, loosing another volley.
For a moment, the battlefield burned bright with frost and void.
But the Scorpion King only laughed. A sound like stone dragged across stone. It slammed a claw down, shattering Selene’s spears, the shockwave nearly throwing her from her feet. Its tail lashed, striking where Kalen had been a heartbeat earlier—just missing him as he blinked away.
Adonis gritted his teeth, psionic veins burning like fire under his skin. This wasn’t some projection. This wasn’t some fragment. The King had forced its way in.
And already, two of his golems were nothing but scattered dunes.
***
Adonis’s jaw clenched as psionic feedback cracked across his mind. Two constructs down, one barely holding. The Scorpion King’s corruption gnawed at the Mindscape itself—glyph-lines peeled and bled black, dunes collapsing into pits.
“Even here,” Adonis muttered, forcing another spear of sand into his grip, “you defile what should never be yours.”
The King’s eyes gleamed, molten and mocking. “Weak cub. Your mother’s runt. Do you think your constructs frighten me?”
Adonis’s chest tightened at the word mother. His focus wavered—just long enough for the King to strike.
The last golem was impaled clean through, stinger driving into its core. The construct convulsed, sand exploding outward like a collapsing mountain.
Selene cried out, her frost walls rising just in time to block shards of corruption that sprayed from the impact. Her breath came fast, each exhale leaving frost trailing in the air, but cracks already spidered across her ice.
Kalen blinked again, too late. The King’s claw clipped his shoulder mid-reappearance, sending him tumbling through the dunes. He hit the ground hard, blood running from his nose, but his void blade still hummed.
Adonis reached for them with telekinesis, dragging the twins out of the kill zone just as the Scorpion King drove its stinger into the sand where Kalen had landed.
The entire Mindscape shook.
Adonis staggered, sweat streaking down his temple. Psionic particles screamed in his veins—his count flickering wildly under the strain. 1,620. 1,655. Stabilization failing.
> Warning, Vantage’s voice pulsed flatly inside him, even here in the dream-world. Your current construct schema cannot contain the corruption. Suggested course of action: escalation protocol.
Adonis spat iron from his tongue and straightened. “You think I’ve been fighting seriously?”
The Scorpion King tilted its head, massive form looming as black glyphs swirled tighter across its carapace.
Adonis extended both arms.
The dunes trembled.
Psionic threads flared, not shaping sand—but memory.
Twin shadows of metal and fire began to take form behind him, growing taller, broader, every line of alloy and ancestral glyph engraved into their plates. The hum of a reactor echoed through the desert of his Mindscape, drowning out the King’s hiss.
Selene froze mid-breath. Kalen pushed himself up, eyes widening.
Adonis’s voice was calm, almost amused, though his blood still ran hot from strain.
“Let me introduce you to the other half of me.”

The ground split open as Zion-Prime rose, twenty meters of obsidian alloy reborn in psionic fire.

The Scorpion King froze.
For the first time since it clawed its way into the Mindscape, the creature did not advance. Its claws parted slightly, stinger twitching in the air as if tasting the psionic current.
“What… is this?” Its voice was no longer mocking but uncertain, guttural clicks breaking the words. “No construct… no beast. I know every glyph, every pattern, every weapon of the desert. But this—”
It recoiled a step, sand grinding beneath its bulk. “This does not belong to our age.”
Zion-Prime loomed behind Adonis, reactor hum rolling like thunder. The mech’s visor lit in a blazing line of gold, psionic glyphs burning along its alloy plates. Its massive hands flexed, each movement sharp and purposeful, not bound by the crude symmetry of summoned golems.
Kalen’s lips parted, awe breaking through the blood on his face. “That… that isn’t just a construct.”
Selene whispered, frost dripping from her fingertips as her eyes widened. “It’s alive.”
Adonis smirked faintly, never taking his eyes off the Scorpion King. “No. It’s mine.”
The King’s carapace flared with corrupt glyphs, as if trying to smother its own unease with raw power. “You defile the old laws. A Sphinx does not bind steel and soul. That is not the way of your kind.”
Adonis tilted his head, amused. “That’s the point. I’m not just my kind anymore.”
Zion-Prime took its first step forward, each footfall cracking the dunes of the Mindscape. The Scorpion King flinched at the sound, instinctively lowering its stinger, every nerve in its massive body screaming threat.
The silence stretched, taut as wire.
Then the King roared, corruption boiling across its claws. “Then I will break this abomination first!”
It lunged.
Zion-Prime raised its arm to meet it.

[Combat Protocol: Initiated]
Psionic Particle Expenditure: 420 → Current Count: 1,230
Zion-Prime surged forward. Telekinesis wrapped every joint, every alloy plate, moving not like a puppet but like a warrior wearing flesh.
The Scorpion King’s stinger lashed — speed breaking the sound barrier inside the Mindscape.
[Reaction Time Boost – 40 particles diverted to neural overclock]
Adonis’s eyes burned gold. The mech’s arm snapped up, catching the stinger mid-thrust. Metal shrieked against corrupted chitin.
Impact tremor: severe. Feedback jolted through Adonis’s nerves, nose bleeding freely. But Zion-Prime held.
Selene gasped, frost spilling from her mouth. Kalen, crouched with void arrows ready, froze mid-draw.
The Scorpion King roared, pincers closing like guillotines.
[Telekinetic Output Surge – 200 particles]
Zion-Prime’s fist clenched, knuckles glowing with engraved glyphs. The punch landed square on the King’s hood, sending shockwaves ripping through the dunes.
> Damage Report: Target Integrity reduced – 8%
The monster staggered back, claws carving trenches into the sand.
But it was far from beaten. Corrupted glyphs ignited along its stinger. The King spun, whipping its tail in an arc that shattered Selene’s frost shields before they could even form.
Zion-Prime intercepted.
[Construct Armament: Obsidian Spear Materialization – 300 particles]
The mech pulled a weapon from the very sands of the Mindscape — a psionic-forged spear taller than houses. The shaft burned with Adonis’s glyphs, tip gleaming with compressed psionic steel.
The King lunged again. The spear struck.
Pierce confirmed — shallow wound along the undercarriage. Venom sprayed, sizzling against Zion-Prime’s armor, eating through alloy with corruption glyphs that resisted deletion.
Adonis gritted his teeth, straining. Even here, in my own mind, his poison lingers.
Kalen loosed a void arrow. It bent mid-flight, curving past the King’s raised claw to lodge deep in its shoulder joint. The carapace cracked.
Selene followed, ice spears shattering into the breach, frost spreading along corrupted glyph-lines.
The Scorpion King shrieked, stumbling back under the combined assault.
Adonis pressed, Zion-Prime advancing step by step, the spear raised.
[Final Strike Protocol – Particle Reserve: 410]
“Fall.”
Zion-Prime drove the spear down, pinning the Scorpion King to the dunes.
***
The Scorpion King thrashed, claws raking trenches through the dunes of the Mindscape. Corruption spilled from the runes on its carapace, bleeding like smoke into the air. Zion-Prime’s spear still pinned it down, but the monster writhed, refusing to bow.
Adonis stepped forward, each movement deliberate, psionic veins burning hot under his skin. His dark, youthful frame was dwarfed by the giant mech looming at his back, yet his voice carried heavier than thunder.
“You thought to corrupt a Sphinx mind,” he said, tone sharp, ancient. “You thought your backwards glyphs could bind me.” His hand rose, fingers curling into a fist. The sands beneath the Scorpion King began to churn, pulling downward.
The monster’s eyes widened in sudden panic.
Adonis’s gaze blazed. “You were a fool. Be devoured by my sands.”
The dunes roared, collapsing beneath the beast. Its claws flailed, its stinger struck wild, but the desert swallowed it whole. The corrupted glyphs flickered, then snuffed out like dying embers as the King’s roar faded into silence.
Only the hum of Zion-Prime remained, reactor glow casting its shadow across the empty battlefield.
Adonis exhaled, lowering his hand. His nose bled freely, his body trembling from the psionic drain, but his smirk was faint and cutting. “You tried to take my mind. And now you’ll serve it.”
The last traces of corruption burned away, leaving only a single image seared into his Psionic schema: a massive scorpion form, etched clean of rot, purified into a construct.
> [New Titan Golem Form: Scorpion Construct Unlocked]

Zion-Prime dissolved back into the sands, the mech’s psionic glow dimming as Adonis released the strain. He swayed once, but Selene caught his arm, her frost cooling the fire in his blood.
“You’re bleeding too much,” she whispered.
Adonis smirked faintly, eyes still burning with gold. “Better me than the desert.”
