I slowly turned to look at the people standing around me, my uncles and aunts that dad had sent up to help me run this place. I then scrambled over to the command table and used it to project the video for all of them to watch. When it ended, they all had a mix of emotions run across their faces before they started to relax. While they had been watching, my dad and I had been sending messages back and forth between each other. I had even tried to give him the leadership of the clan back. However, the system refused to send the offer. Apparently, once leadership of a clan is given up, you can never get it back. I looked up to see the video ending and turned to my family.
“What should we do?” I asked them.
“I think We should accept.” Uncle James said slowly as he glanced at the others, some of them were nodding their heads.
They started bickering amongst themselves, asking questions and answering others. I got a bit bored as they were not including me in the discussion and turned to the command table as a thought occurred to me. I opened The market and began to look for scout drones or exploration ships of some kind. I winced at the prices on a few and how bad the specs on others were, and was about to turn around and ask my family if they had reached a conclusion when my HUD received a message from my father.
Time to stop messaging me about the decision, this is your decision to make, Kenna. But since you want my opinion so badly. Here it is, agree but make them pay for the ships to be built. Ask for things the station needs, things you need.
I closed the message and turned back to the Market as I thought over what my father had said. I thought about the lack of resources I currently had, the need for more mining barges and pilots, I thought about how my credits had quickly run out. And I thought about how I would need to start a lot of housing construction in order to house everyone that came up. A stray thought occurred to me as I glanced back at the five members of my family, causing me to realise this place was kinda dull and could use parks, flowers, and life. It was then I actually looked at my family, their ginger hair. My uncles had it short in various styles, but my two aunts had it long, one down to her butt, the other just to her shoulder blades. I noticed they were all young, like they were still in their twenties, but I knew that was impossible because they had been alive longer than I had. I let out a sigh as I turned back to the command table, I also knew they all had the same coloured eyes I did.
“Alright, I have come to a decision” I declared as I started opening windows on the command table so I could show them what I was about to talk about.

“We need resources, and we need credits. Ashley is currently training with our guilds five companies to prepare them for the upcoming war, we should gain some credits there, but that will take too long, and we need credits now. So it is my decision that we accept England's offer. But, on the condition they provide credits and resources for the construction of their housing, they can camp around the habitat while they wait for it to be built if they want to. We also want the credits and resources for the construction of the ships they want. Including mining barges, so we can bring in more resources. And as you can see on the window here, the scouting ships are expensive. “Now we also need credits and resources to start building parks and playgrounds and bring life to this station, I also spotted a listing for an aquatic centre, so we should include a payment for that and start bringing animals of earth up here as a tourist attraction for visiting merchants and the likes.”
I saw them nodding along and turned to the command table and began pulling up listings of ships and how much they would cost in credits and resources to be constructed at the space dry dock. Then throw in the price of the licence to do so as well as the blueprint. I slowly made a list of things the space station needed for the England Clan to live up here, when I was finished I slowly looked around wondering about the second part of dads advice, ‘what do I want?’ I knew what I wanted within seconds, I wanted my car, which made me think about how I had to rest on the way to the hangar and back because walking across a city took a long time. I added to the message that I wanted my car brought up, it was then I paused and started thinking about how people would normally get around a habitat this size and didn't have access to our cars.
This led me on another market and construction window search until I found I could build a car manufacture as well as a car dealership type building so I could create my own types of cars and sell them. This discovery had also taught me about blueprint creation where I could design my own car including the engine from technology more advanced than earth had, allowing me to eliminate the need for fuel. That had led to me discovering I could apply it to the dry dock and build a custom designed ship that I could advertise and sell to interested parties. I let out an amused laugh and added the car manufacture to the list and requested personal that could design cars and ships to the list before sending it to my father. Telling him this is what I wanted in exchange for them living up here. I then turned to the five officers of my guild and with a smile on my face I declared.
“Alright, I'm positive you have everything under control from here.”
I then turned and walked out of the command room, I was not overjoyed to hear them going back to their bickering as I left. I walked around the offices and cubicles and who knows what else this guild hall hid, until I reached the golden door with the words ‘Game Hall” written on it, and pushed the door open as I stepped through. I walked over to the railing and looked down the eight floors to spot a group of people wandering around on the first floor, what surprised me is one of them stopped and looked up before waving to me. I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I waved back, and watched him wave a little faster before running to catch up to the group.
“Maybe having more people up here won't be so bad.” I mumbled to myself as I stared down at the first floor for a little longer as I thought about what I was about to be up against, and after a while I let out a long sigh.
“I just need to keep ahead of the shit all these powerful people are starting to send my way."
