“Yes.” I stated to the door.

Connection established.
“Hello?”
“Kenna? How are you talking in my head?”
“I knocked on the door, it said I was authorised and then called you… anyway I need you to log out for a bit, we need to have a serious conversation about the future.”
“Oh that sounds scary, uh, okay give me a bit to get to a safe spot then I’ll be right out.”
Connection terminated.
I walked away from the door and sat down by a wall and waited. It didn't take long for the door to slide open and Ashley to step out. She spotted me and walked over, sitting down next to me and resting against the wall.
“So, what's up?”
“Oh, you know lots of stuff, the few moments of stopping and appreciating where we are that you gave me, has given me a little perspective on everything. For instance, did you know the ship in the dry dock is now complete, and we could send one of our cousins down to earth to pick up more clan members to come help us. And I think that would be a wise decision to make for what's going to happen next.”
I watched her look around, keeping her thoughts to herself as she slowly nodded her head, it took a few more moments before she responded.
“You know, you are right. This place is so big and luxurious, and we have been full tilt running from one thing to the next, we haven't just stopped and appreciated this place. It's very beautiful… okay, I'm over it, we should send Timothy to get the clan members he will love flying it, and he seems to know everyone. However, that isn't what has you needing to have a serious chat with me, so are you ready to tell me what has you pulling me out of the game yet?”
“You never could stop and appreciate beauty for more than a few seconds, could you?”
“Hun, that game is just as amazing, and it's on a ship just as beautiful. Now, are you going to spill or what?”
I let out a sigh as my fingers danced across my HUD. I composed a message to Timothy to ask if he would like to grab the new ship and head down to pick up more members of our clan. Then, I turned back to Ashley.

“I need you to start a company, the guild will fund it and I need you to start pulling our clan into it getting them playing, you said you were on the Terance right?”
“Yea… I am currently going through what they call boot camp to learn to be a military mage, but one of my new friends has been giving me a little extra training in ship demolition and… well, for some reason he calls it making modifications that never happened.”
“What's that about?"
“Uh, I'm not sure, he keeps muttering to himself about strapping lightning to a broom, raining electricity and something about big booms. So I guess I will find out when it's time.”
“Okay, that's not creepy and weird at all” I stated. We stared at each other for a few seconds before bursting out into fits of giggles.
“Alright, Kenna. Cough it up, what's this talk about having to start a company, what's the point?”
“While I was waiting for you to log out I looked into what a guild could fund in regard to a company, I learnt that a level 1 guild can host five companies.
“That's a fair few.”
“Indeed, so I want to send timothy to get lots of our clan members up here so we can form five companies before the week is out. Hopefully, when the Terance reaches the planet it is headed to, we can use those five companies to swarm a continent and take as much land as we can.”
“Alright, that seems straight forward, but what good does that do us?”
“The money, dear cousin, the money it generates, will help us support this orbital station and getting the city built. It will also help us pay for the huge sum of money the carrier needs in order to repair it, that includes the resources we are going to have to buy if we can't scavenge it from the other wrecks.”
“Kenna, how are you managing all this, I'm finding just the game a bit confusing, and you're running an orbital station on top of that.”
“Uh, I'm not, not really I would love someone to take over management of this, I'm just going okay you said you needed that so I can afford it and here it is. We need someone that can plan all this and do it properly. The guild needs officers.”
“Your dad could recommend some people, he has been doing it a long time and most likely has a few family members that he would recommend for a leadership role.”
“Yea, you're right, I’ll send him a message and have Timothy pick those people up first, then start grabbing our warriors.”
“Glad I could help, I’ll head back in now and start up a company, then I’ll shoot you a message and let you know how many people I can take, that way we know how many we will need to fill five companies.”
I nodded as she stood up, and we waved to each other before she vanished back into her uplink rig. I then focused on my HUD and compiled a letter to my father asking for recommendations on who could help run this orbital station and who would be great to fight in a war and help claim and secure land. I then sent off the message to timothy telling him he got to fly the brand spanking new ship down to earth and pick up some of our clan members.
It was about an hour later while I was lounging on the couch in the command room that I received a message from Ashley and my father. Timothy had told me he was on his way an hour ago, boy was prompt.
I decided to open Ashley's first, as that would undoubtedly tell me how many people I could accept that my dad had recommended.
Kenna, I can't start a company yet, I need one thousand credits, but I have discovered how many members a level one company can have. Yes, I know, get on with it Ashley, I don't have all day, haha just messing with you, Kenna. Okay, it's ten, my friend tells me it's two squadrons, and then you have to pay two thousand credits to upgrade to a level two where you can have an entire platoon of twenty-five people. But a level three costs four thousand. Go figure right? Alright, I'm heading back to bootcamp now, so have fun.
I let out a sigh and then manoeuvred through my hud until I had sent a thousand credits to Ashley so she could start our first company. I then opened my status screen, wanting to see if I could actually afford the five companies.
