"The why did people made settlements near Mirages, wouldn't it be better to make somewhere far and safe?" Mo Fan asked.
"Mirages were not always there. The cities are older than the time when Mirages start to appear, so it's either you protect the city or run away." Chen Xiao explained.
"Then why did Mirages start appearing?" Mu Ningxue asked.
"Several centuries ago there was woman slave, Khonsu who breakfree from her master and also steal an artefact mistaken it for jewelry. That artefact was a kind of communication device to contact self-proclaimed lord of underworld, Osiris/Khufu. Khufu offered wealth, prosperity, high status to Khonsu in exchange of her soul for ten years. Khonsu accepted the offer. But after 10 years when the time come to pay the price, she played a trick. Using her resources she get her hands on an artefact called Triangle Void Mirror. Using the artefact she reflect the light coming from Pyramid and avoid paying the price. But the reflection create a Mirage and in few hours a city turn into slaughtering house. Every ten year, a city turn into slaughtering house. But her luck run out. One of her lover happened to be a survivor of slaughtered city. He steal the Triangle Void Mirror and destroyed it, turning it into dust. The dust suspended in the air..."
"That dust is responsible for the mirages?" Jiang Yu interrupted and got a glare from Chen Xiao.
"Yes, the dust is responsible for the mirages. Khonsu also payed the prize, now instead of becoming a concubine of Khufu, she is tormented everyday." Chen Xiao finished the story.
"How strong is this 'lord of underworld'?" Mo Fan asked.
"As strong as Ancient Capital's Ancient King." Chen Xiao replied.
"And how strong is this 'Ancient King'?" Jiang Yu asked.
"As strong as Black Dragon Emperor." Chen Xiao replied, having trouble to get a well known monster to compare Khufu with.
"And how strong is your 'Black Dragon Emperor'?" Jiang Yu asked even more confused.
"Umm... as strong as 14 Winged Archangel, I guess." Chen Xiao finally gave a understandable answer.
"Are you saying all these monsters you mentioned until now are Emperors?" Jiang Yu asked in disbelief.
"Isn't it obvious, there are lots of undead monarchs and Khufu called lord of underworld, it's obvious he is on different level than monarchs." Chen Xiao said.
"Obvious my ass, how in the fucking world do you even know about Emperor rank monsters?" Jiang Yu cursed, he was proud of his knowledge about monsters but lesser monarchs are his limit let alone Emperors.
"Do you know about other Emperors?" Nanyu asked interested in gaining extra knowledge.
"Let's see, Sahara Emperor, Bermuda Emperor and Antarctica Emperor. These are something beyond humans. They are High Level Emperors. Even the strongest two - the founders of Pantheron Temple and Holy City in the history of 5000 years only manage to achieve Medium Level Emperor." Chen Xiao replied sending chill to everyone's spine.
"Do China and Egypt have only these two Emperors?" Mo Fan asked.

We reach the city whichever was almost empty. As we go deeper we found the city in ruckus. There was great unrest. And at other side of city, there were a number of injured soldiers and medics.
