Chapter 2 Encounter

  As usual, Lin Ke Yi packed up her school bag and walked out of the library towards the school gate after finishing her homework and self-study.

  As she walked along the shaded path on campus, she suddenly stopped in her tracks, only because she heard a violent cough.

  It's as if I'm about to cough up my lungs.

  Lin Ke'er skirted around the flowerbed and walked towards the source of the sound, and in the next moment she took a sharp breath and involuntarily retreated a step back.

  Lai Chen folded up the handkerchief with blood on it and stuffed it into his pants pocket, then slowly turned around, expressionless, and glanced at Lin Ke Yi.

  It was as if nothing had happened just now, but the uninvited guest in front of him broke his tranquility in an unwelcome way.

  Lin Ke Yi stared at him in a daze, her pale face had surprisingly beautiful features.

  "Have you had enough?" The corner of his mouth slightly raised, with a hint of mockery and disdain in his expression.

  He didn't like it when people's first reaction upon seeing him was one of shock and amazement.

  Lin Ke Yi suddenly came back to her senses, withdrew her gaze and lowered her head to apologize quietly.

  Then she just walked away, as if she hadn't seen anything at all.

  Yes, isn't it that there is no relationship with her at all?

  Whether there is a patient or a normal person standing beside her, it makes no difference to her, does it?

  The only one who has a relationship with her now is her mother.

  She is now making all her efforts just to live up to her mother's expectations.

  Just as she had taken two steps forward, she heard a violent cough again, even more violently than before.

  She pretended she hadn't heard and continued walking forward.

  But the coughing sound stopped the next second.

  She couldn't help but turn her head and take a look.

  Just then, I saw that boy who had coughed up blood earlier, with one hand leaning against the tree trunk, his excessively thin arm was trembling slightly.

  "Are you okay?" Lin Ke Yi turned back and walked closer, asking with concern.

  Lijun felt his breathing almost stopped, his chest hurt so much that it seemed to crack open, and the things in front of him became blurred. But at this moment, he heard a pleasant voice like a nightingale.

  He trembled with his body, slightly raised his head, and stared for a while before recognizing that the girl in front of him was the same girl he had asked if she had seen enough earlier.

  "It's none of your business!" Lai Chen said indifferently, turning around and leaning against the tree trunk to sit down wearily.

  Then he took out the medicine bottle from his backpack with a trembling hand.

  He hadn't even had time to open the bottle cap when the medicine bottle slipped from his hand.

  Almost at the same time, Lin Ke Yi reached out to pick it up.

  Then he helped him open it and squatted in front of Lixun, asking:

  "How many pills should I take?"

  "Two!" Lishi's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he responded.

  Lin Ke Yi poured two pills and held them out in front of Li Chen.

  Lijun didn't take it, but looked at her with a hint of disgust in his eyes and said slowly.

  "Your hands are dirty!"
