Chapter Ten Return Home

  The doctor quickly had the nurse push Lin Ke Yi into the treatment room.

  Almost everyone in this hospital knows Lijian, the only son of the Li family.

  Because Lai Chen, the only legitimate heir of the Lai family, was a premature baby and had been weak and sickly since birth, even when he came to school, the Lai family specially arranged for him to have his own infirmary and doctor and nurse in school, just in case there was an emergency.

  "Nine fifteen." The nurse said, glancing at her watch.

  "Nine fifteen?" Lin Ke Yi suddenly sat up with a start and reached out to pull off the infusion needle on her hand.

  "What are you doing?" The nurse pressed down on Lin Ke's hand and adjusted the needle.

  "Sorry, I have to hurry back, or else my mom will get anxious!" Lin Ke Yi said hastily.

  "You can go to the duty office to make a phone call to inform your parents or let them come and take care of you, the intravenous drip still needs to be finished, and your head also has mild concussion symptoms, requiring hospitalization for observation for two days!" The nurse said patiently.

  Ling Kei had no choice but to go to the office to call her mother, but no one answered.

  Lin Ke Yi thought to herself that it was so late and she hadn't returned home yet, her mother must be worried and had come out to look for her, which made her even more anxious.

  She turned to the nurse and said that no one answered the phone, she had to go back and tell her mother, otherwise she would be worried.

  After the doctor's examination, Lin Kei was asked to sign an informed consent form and then she was allowed to go home.

  "It's nothing, just a bump on the forehead. The doctor checked and said it's fine, it'll be okay once the swelling goes down." Lin Ke Yi hastily comforted her mother, saying "Mom, you have to boil some eggs for me to apply later, or I'll look ugly!"

  "It's all right as long as nothing is wrong." Her mother said with a tinge of sadness.

  Took the key from Lin Ke Yi's hand, opened the door and pulled Lin Ke Yi in, back to their apartment.

  Lin Ke Yi held an egg against her face, wincing in pain.
