Blind date encounters ultra-high quality man 1

  Spoiled Marriage Seduces People

Mei Jia arrived at the coffee shop five minutes late, and didn't have time to go to the restroom to retouch her makeup, so she directly followed the text message's prompt and headed towards the window seat.

She doesn't like being late because it's impolite, but today after work there was a file that had to be handed in urgently, so she spent more time organizing the files and since the time was set quite tightly, by the time she came out of the office it was already this late.

When Mika arrived, a man was already seated in the window seat. This man was Mika's blind date for tonight.

The man is thirty-one years old, a middle school teacher, whom she met on the Lily website. The two had made some simple exchanges and exchanged photos, but didn't chat much before deciding to meet in person.

Walking up to the position by the window, Mijia asked out of politeness, "Excuse me, are you Zhang Liwen?"

The man raised his head, looked at Mitya for a moment, stood up from his seat and nodded: "Yes, you are Miss Mi?"

He stood up, and Mika only then discovered that he looked quite different from the photos he had posted online. With glasses and sunken cheeks, he seemed much older than his actual age. His build was also too thin, giving off a weak and fragile impression. He didn't seem to be 175cm tall as stated in his profile either; judging by the height of his shoulders, he was roughly the same height as Mika, who was wearing flat shoes and stood at around 168cm.

But even if the difference between her current self and the previous data was huge, Mika still tried to maintain a smile, nodding lightly, "Ah, Mika." She put down the bag in her hand, smoothed out the skirt of her suit, and sat down on the soft sofa.

She doesn't need a handsome guy, as long as he is down-to-earth and honest.

After she sat down, the man sat back down and stared at Mitya for a while, seemingly somewhat embarrassed, and said in a slightly awkward tone: "You, what do you want to drink?" As he spoke, he pushed over the menu from beside him and placed it in front of Mitya.

Meijia didn't decline excessively politely, took the menu and flipped through it casually. She came straight here from work, indeed she hadn't eaten yet.

Zhang Liwen sat up straight, his hands placed squarely on the table, his expression seeming somewhat overly tense, his eyes occasionally glancing at Mika's menu in her hand, swallowing saliva.

He felt a little strange and looked up at him, finally closing the menu and handing it over to him, saying, "You order, I just want a cup of milk tea."

Upon hearing this, the person opposite seemed to relax a bit, nodded and took it over, didn't look at the menu again, and directly pressed the service bell.

Mijia seemed to have some kind of misunderstanding, but shook her head and didn't think much about it.

The waiter quickly came over with a menu and asked with a professional smile: "Good evening, would you like to order?"

Mei Jia nodded and turned her eyes to look at Zhang Liwen. She understood basic social etiquette, in public places, she let the gentleman beside her take the lead.

The waiter's gaze followed Mijia to Zhang Liwen, still with that faint smile, professional and generous.

Zhang Liwen closed the menu in his hand, pushed it aside, and looked up at the waiter to say, "A cup of hot milk tea." He then turned his head to ask Mi Jia, "Do you want it hot?"

  Mi Jia nodded, "Right, hot."

The waiter nodded, took out his pen and noted it down, then looked up at Zhang Liwen, waiting for what he would order next.

Zhang Liwen didn't say anything else, nor did he look at the waiter again. He turned his head to look at Mijia, and the thin face with a smile also looked very old.

Mei Jia was slightly stunned, looking at him and then at the waiter standing beside her.

The waiter waited for a while and didn't wait for Zhang Liwen to continue ordering, slightly embarrassed to ask: "Sir, do you want to order anything else?"

Zhang Liwen turned his head and glanced at the waiter, thought for a moment, and said: "Please give me a glass of boiled water, nothing else is needed, thank you."

Mei Jia was taken aback, looking at him with a mixture of emotions that she couldn't quite put into words.

Compared to Mika, the service staff around her were also shocked and asked again, "Excuse me, are you saying that all you want is a cup of hot milk tea?"

"There's still a glass of boiled water." Zhang Liwen reminded her.

The waiter twitched the corner of his mouth, and finally could only nod awkwardly to ask him to wait, and when he turned to leave, looking at Mitya, his expression seemed to be somewhat sympathetic.

Although shocked by his behavior, Mitya still tried to keep a smile on her face.

The Zhang Liwen opposite seemed to have a good impression of Mijia and asked while looking at her: "What does Miss Mi do?"

"Just an ordinary employee of a general company." Mika replied with a faint smile, not intending to say much more.

The man nodded and began to introduce himself. It turned out that he was a middle school teacher, mainly teaching junior high school Chinese.

Meijia just listened, nodding from time to time in response.

The waitress quickly brought over the milk tea and plain water, still the same girl as before, but this time her attitude was completely different. The professional smile on her face was gone, and when she put down the cup, she didn't even bother to move it in front of the customer, instead turning around and walking away immediately.

Zhang Liwen's attitude towards the waiter seemed to be a matter of course, without any unpleasant emotions. He took over the waiter's work and moved the milk tea in front of Mi Jia, who nodded and said thank you in a low voice.

The two of them sat there like that, after a simple introduction Zhang Liwen seemed a bit awkward, smiling at Mi Jia but not knowing what to talk about.

Mei Jia considers this her first blind date, and she didn't have high expectations for marriage to begin with. Her goal was simply to find someone who also wanted to get married, so they could just get married for the sake of getting married.

Although Zhang Liwen is a bit petty and looks somewhat stiff, she also appears to be relatively honest and kind-hearted. Moreover, her work is relatively stable. She doesn't want to waste time looking for the next man, originally she didn't have high expectations, as long as it's passable and not illegal, she can accept it, because what she accepts is marriage, not love.

Looking at him, Mijia asked: "Do you mind if we go to the civil affairs bureau tomorrow and get married directly?"

Upon hearing this, Zhang Liwen, who was sitting across from her drinking water, choked on the water and didn't bother to take the paper towels brought by the waiter, instead using his hand to wipe his mouth. He looked at Mi Jia and asked: "You... what did you say?"

Meijia frowned slightly, she could accept his stinginess as being frugal, but his lack of hygiene was something she found hard to understand.

Ignoring his actions, Mijia repeated what she had just said, "I'm asking if you mind us going to the civil affairs bureau tomorrow and getting married directly?" She didn't want any trouble, since it was only about marriage and nothing else, so getting a certificate would be the ultimate goal.
