Ch 16 chase & other half of her soul

  Mc POV

Airi held the halberd tightly in my hand and moved us to chase the blood trail deeper into the city. People were screaming and running in all directions avoiding us. My body can feel a dark intense feeling of killing intent full of hatred. There wasn't much I could do about it since Airi made us stop there. She tightly gripped the halberd in our hand and cut the corpses falling towards us. A monstrous white beast in shape of a man without a face and only a mouth growled at us.

"Come it's been centuries since your existence has been made from a mistake but even after the nuclear wars you beasts still exist," Airi shouted.

(Wait a moment don't taunt it)

"Well not like it can understand words. No rather this thing can't die by humans. It can if it was any other race that slaughtered it. Isn't that just sad, this thing was CREATED from humans experimenting on other races they caught. To use those races racial skills and traits for themselves but look what they made," Airi said sarcastically.

(Rather you sound anger and full of hate for it and maybe pity?)

I watched stunned as the thing ran towards the city lord's mansion. Airi groaned annoyed and face palmed. She mumbled should've know better.

  Leah POV

I stared at the soup I made with satisfaction. Yep dully noted don't add pepper next time to the curry for a experiment. I bite my sandwich which I made from grilled chicken, lettuce, cheese, tomato, and pickles. "Hey sister shouldn't you be heading out," Austin called.

"Yea I'll head out. Remember to lock the door. Also don't let our drunk father in."

That was a disaster last time. Leaving Austin alone worries me, I have to do my job as a singer. Father is drunk most of the time, we don't have a mother. I'm always cooking food for us. I left some curry soup for him to warm if he needs it for the night. My band needs to rehearse for the night. I take another glance at Austin, but smile softly. I have memories of my past, me as Airi the Dimension. You've guessed it I appraised my brother before I left.

I'm worried about his mental state. I let out a soft sigh, yep his stats won't show more than that. Instead of worrying I called my friend Abigail. She's a cheerful girl, kind yet honest. Brown haired twin tails, no chest...(no offense) loves to wear bright colors. I may hate most men but when it comes to my brother it worries me. Yep I remember my ex husband from my last life as Airi. Sorry for getting side tracked. I stayed outside my house for a bit. Though I know I'm running late for rehearsal but it worries me about Austin. That's why I decided to wait for Abigail to come to our house. It takes her about 15 minutes to get to our house by drinking her. If she's walking it's hours before she can even get her.

"Did you wait long Leah," Abigail said out of breath.

I smiled as I shake my head. It's been peaceful for my days here on Earth. I haven't gone to search for my other half of my soul. Though I can feel her. She's the one with my emotions that I bore the most before I was sent here. They knew it'd be too much for one body to bear so they split my soul into two different bodies. But the other me ended up with my emotions from my memories, my ego and will. It's going to be such a headache if we do end up fusing back together.

I walked to the parking area 2 blocks down our house. It's where my best friend from high school is going to pick me up. Chloe smiled at me. The blond wave hair up to the waist flew in the air as she grinned at me. Her hand went to the steering wheel as she gave me a teasing look. I know I'm not thinking about the rehearsal I'm not as worried about Austin the longest Abigail's there to watch him. Chloe and me are the same age 23 years old. (Hint: brackets are her age and her equipped race)

Most of my other skills don't show unless I concentrate hard. "Are you listening to me," Chloe asked.

  "Yep I am," I answered.

"You're always making us late to rehearsal," Chloe sighed.

"Are you doing this on purpose to get my attention."

  "Maybe," I answered her.

"Look here don't joke. Also I don't get why you hate every other guy but your brother."

  My eyes narrowed at her.
