Chapter 5: Headache

The scaley protaganist was wracking it's small brain over this matter, while the the fire blood toxin seemed useful, the parylitic venom WAS useful. then the snake realized something. The toxin said it was parylitic. After noticing it immediately decided to change. It regretted its decision almost as immediately, as pain boiled in its mouth as it felt his fangs change. it writhed its body on the ground, biting into the bear corpse, trying to take away the pain. Minutes later the pain stopped.

After a minute of lying on the ground the snake raised its head with a cruel gleem in its eye. It had decided to test out its new venom on its next meal. It slithered through the underbrush gliding over branches, but its extra length on its tail meant that it kept hitting trees and getting it stuck on braches. eventually it came across a clearing with a large red rabbit with a light orange horn on its head, in the center of the clearing. the snake slithered close enough to strike, coiled body, and struck! Only to go flying over the rabbit, all the way across the clearing and slam its head into a tree.

The rabbit, startled, stared at the snake for a second, then lowered its horn and charged right at the snake. the snake seeing this jumped at the rabbit. When they collided the horn entered the snakes tail as the snake's fangs entered the rabbits shoulder.

The rabbit went berserk flinging the snake off its horn straight back into the tree. it started grinding its shoulder into the ground, a bloodcurdling noise emitted from its mouth. It yanked its head back trying to stab at the bite. It jumped and slammed its head into the ground while continuing to scream. Finally it ran a tree nailing itself with its horn onto the tree. Then, the rabbit slumped down, dead.

The snake stared stupefied at what had occured. Then it realized a bigger issue, how was it supposed to eat something attached to a tree?
