Comments on Book 2 are very welcome. It won't be up for very long, once it's finished... I'm posting it here to fulfill a promise I made to readers of the first one, many of whom discovered it on Royal Road and were hoping to read the second book on RR as well. Read fast, because I'll probably have to take it down in a couple of weeks when it goes live on Amazon.

  On an unrelated note, apparently chapters must be at least 500 characters long. Annoying... As a result, I am going to type some words in here instead of editing the chapter I need to. Along the way, I will ruminate on the silliness of trying to tell me how long a chapter needs to be. Are there not already enough rules in the world? Did we need one to enforce chapter length?
