Zhao led Gabriel out of the house, by now the sun had set for a while already. The purple painting of surrounding buildings gave the world a serene and mythical feeling in the night light. Zhao led Gabriel to the front gate of Samsara sect, Gabriel was a little surprised they hadn’t met any patrol team on their way. They reached the entrance of the sect, before long, the sect was fenced round with walls made of the same purple gray rock. The entrance was arced with enough space for two cars to pass at once, there was a big gate blocking the entrance and there were guards manning the gate.

“Stop, who goes there?” asked one of the guards manning the gate. Zhao stopped moving and raised his hand in the air, Gabriel also did the same. The guard wore his purple, white combat suit properly unlike those he saw at the library which wasn’t really surprising seeing as he was on duty and he had his hand warily on a standard issued rifle at his side. Zhao Bing stayed silent, his hand raised in non-aggression and Gabriel followed his lead not saying nothing.

“Please walk closer to the light, slowly, your hands above your head…. Oh! It is just you, scholar Zhao and the young master, what are you guys doing here this late at night?” asked the guard finally noticing who they were as they complied to his instructions.

“We have to leave” Zhao Bing replied scanning the surrounding of the gate noticing another man beside the gate silently measuring them up, his hand had not left his gun even as he realized who they were. He was still cautious ‘good’. Zhao Bing would have commended him if he had been from the University.

“Why? Leaving the institute after six is against the rules."

"Alas, we must leave tonight" Zhao Bing

"I can bring you before the captain, if plead your case, he may allow" the guard said and immediately turned before Zhao Bing could even begin to protest. The problem was surely above his pay grade, let his superior deal with the unreasonable powers.

  “Please do” replied Zhao Bing

“come on then” The guard said as he walked into the guard house.

Zhao walked in after the guard into the guard house, there Zhao saw the head of the gate guards, he was a large man, dressed in the standard purple and white suite of Samsara with a bullet proof vest over his purple shirt. The man looked a little awkward sitting back straight on a couch meant for reclining. His eyes were staring down but he brought it up glanced up as they walked in, he looked disinterested.

“Brother Ga On, scholar Zhao wanted to meet you” the guard leading Zhao announced as he walked in

“Scholar Zhao, what can I do for you?” Brother Ga On asked in an even tone not moving from his position.

Zhao ignored the question, choosing instead to take a sit for himself, the guard didn't so much as twitch at the blatant disregard.

“What can I do for you?” The guard leader repeated

Zhao shrugged “I need to leave the institute this evening, your men refused to let me out”

“It is against the rules” the guard nodded without a change in expression

“Is there nothing I can do? I must get beyond that gate this night.”

The guard looked Zhao in the eye as he made that statement, he was searching for signs, once he found it, he attacked. Zhao saw the guard’s iris turn a light purple shade, for a moment the eyes grew overwhelming his vision, so that all he could see were those purple eyes. Then suddenly he was struck with intense emotions of sadness, happiness, fear and irritation, all emotions a human would feel on a daily bases all at once, none of it his own. With the emotions invading Zhao Bing’s mind, he could not focus on his opponents, he needed space.
