Rebecca walked into the precinct the next morning. Last night has been hell in the docks, she watch from outside her window as the ACA scan the area looking for an Aftershok. From the reports she hears there was a fight at the docks, an Aftershok calling himself Bomber Ali was attacking innocent people and threaten the lives of kids. But he was soon captured and arrested by the ACA.
So if they caught the Aftershok then why were they looking all night for another one? Rebecca tried to call Mike’s phone all night, worried he was caught up in that mess as he was still at Vivid while she left early to go home. She hasn’t heard a word from him since. That’s why she is hoping to find him in the office alive and in one piece.
She walked up to the door and tried to turn the knob, but it was locked tight. ‘Weird’ she said pulling out her keys. Mike never locked the door before, all the officers have enough sense not to take anything from the guy. She unlocked the door then entered. Mike wasn’t at his desk, instead there is a guy scrambling to get off the couch and trying to act casual, his black and red stripped hoodie a mess as he fixed it up, then lean back with his arms up on the couch. ‘Yo’ he said, ‘Having a good morning?’
Rebecca stared at him. That guy is Isaac Clarke, the Aftershok they were looking for. What the hell is he doing here in the office acting like he spent the night here? ‘Um, hold on’ she said, ‘You’re Isaac Clarke’
‘Yes I am’ he said proudly.
‘The Aftershok who threw a helicopter onto the hospital’
‘Why is that the first thing they say’ he groaned, ‘Do I look like I enjoy throwing copters onto buildings in my spare time?’
‘What are you doing here?’ she said, she quickly shut the door before anyone could look inside.
‘Mike told me to stay in the office until he comes back’ said Isaac. ‘Which I totally did by the way, never did went out for a midnight stroll, or caused any kind of riots’
Rebecca knows he is lying, if not about Mike then definitely about the riot last night. She saw the news broadcast this morning about an angry mob looking for an Aftershok who attacked three robbers, the robbers got away which should have been the main focus. She put her coffee on the desk, ‘Ok so let me get this straight, Mike brought you in this office and hid you?’ she asked. Isaac nodded. ‘Ok, but why would he help you?’
‘Cause I’m joining the team’ he beamed.
‘Excuse me?’
‘I am going to join you and Mike to catch more Aftershoks’ said Isaac. ‘Which means we will be working together, like comrades. Plus I get a gun’
‘I doubt Mike would give you a gun’
‘He said he would’
She rubbed her forehead, getting a headache now. The door opened up and Mike walked in, closing the door behind him. ‘I see you two have met’ he said looking at both Rebecca and Isaac. He then made his way to his desk. ‘Tell me we are not harbouring an Aftershok’ she said. ‘You know what the ACA will do to those who harbour them’
‘I made a decision that would benefit the city’ said Mike.
‘A decision without me, we’re partners so I should have a say in this’ she slammed her hand on the desk.
Mike looked at her, taking a seat at his desk. ‘Ok, do you want to keep him?’
‘I’m not a dog’ said Isaac.
‘No!’ said Rebecca.
‘Well as your superior I say he stays’ said Mike. ‘So you two better get along, although I would understand if you wanna shoot him’
‘I’m right here!’ Isaac pointed to himself.
Rebecca groaned, ‘What about the ACA? They are not going to let him stay with us’
‘I have already spoken to the Head of the ACA just this morning’ Mike told her. ‘Soon we will have an agreement, until then he is on probation under our watch. Should he step out of line then I will face the consequences not you or the department’
‘You’re risking your badge for him?’ she pointed a thumb as Isaac. ‘Honestly you should have answered my calls last night, I would have talked you out of doing this’
‘What’s done is done’ said Mike, ‘You can either keep whining about it or we can get right back into work’
Rebecca sat in her chair in a huff, pouting as she refuses to acknowledge Isaac’s stupid grin. ‘Looks like we will be best buddies’ he sang.
‘Oh shut up’ she huffed.
‘Now on to business’ Mike said, turning to face him. ‘How was your night?’ he asked.
Isaac’s red eyes shifted side to side, a sign of guilt. ‘Great’ he said.
‘Nothing interesting happened. Like a failed bank robbery, or a joyride through the city? Or how about the riot you started?’ he held up his phone, showing a map of the city with a red dot where the police station is. ‘You did remember your Ankle Bracelet will let me know where you are at all times right?’
‘That may have slipped my mind’ Isaac mumbled. ‘I was only going out for some fresh air’
‘You had gotten more than fresh air’ said Mike putting his phone away. ‘If this new partnership is going to work, I need to trust you will do exactly what I say, so when I said “Stay in the office” you stay in the office’
‘You’re not the boss of me’ he said.
‘As of this moment I am’ said Mike. ‘So unless you want to spend the rest of your life on the Island you will remember that’ Isaac rolled his eyes, the last guy who did that infront of Mike was sent packing to Antarctica.
‘That goes double for you too’ Mike turn to her, making her stop laughing at Isaac’s scolding.
‘Oh come on, I just found out about this’ she said.
‘I think we are going to be a great team’ said Isaac, getting both of their glares now. He stood up, ‘So what are we waiting for? Let’s go out there, solve some crimes, fight bad guys, and get free pizza’
‘You are so weird’ said Rebecca.
‘He does have a point’ said Mike. ‘I got a tip from a nice old lady by the name of Mrs Thompson. She said she has been seeing strange shadows in the windows of the Church in the Suburban District. I think we should check it out’ he put on his coat.
‘It’s probably those teenagers again, you know we’ve been catching them putting graffiti on the walls’ said Rebecca.
‘Those teenagers haven’t been anywhere near the church for a while’ Mike told her. ‘Whoever is there is doing their best not to cause any sort of attention’
‘Must be ghosts then’ Rebecca giggled, ‘It’s old enough to have a few ghosts running around’
‘A haunted Church’ grinned Isaac, ‘Sounds perfect for our first case. You guys go on ahead while I hide here in the safety of the office’
‘You’re coming with us!’ said Mike.
‘But I’m scared of ghosts!’ cried Isaac.
‘Wimp’ teased Rebecca. She has never heard of any Aftershok being a coward before.
‘We will bring the car around to the steps’ said Mike. ‘Since it is still too early to show you around the precinct, you would have to use the window, as you got some experience climbing so I heard’
‘Why can’t I use the lifts?’ he asked.
‘Cause the officers will shoot you on sight, remember?’
‘See you guys down there’ waved Isaac as he waited by the window.
Mike and Rebecca walked out of the office, keeping the door locked so no one would see Isaac. The other officers stare as they walked by, probably having so many questions about what is in their office. They reach the lifts when a voice called out to them, ‘Johnson! Hawkins!’ they turn to see the Captain storming up to them.
The captain is well into his fifties, his hair full white along with his moustache that bristles. He wore his captain’s uniform with the medal, nothing to hide the usual fury on his face. ‘What the hell is this I’m hearing about you keeping an Aftershok?’
The other cops turn their heads. Rebecca could see the look in their eyes as they all turn to the door to their office. Mike doesn’t seem fazed by this. ‘Yes, since I told you last night about the arrangement I’m setting up’
‘With an Aftershok’ said the Captain, ‘I will not have one of those freaks in this precinct, either you keep him outside or I will turn him over to the bloody ACA’
‘Then he will stay outside’ said Mike.
The Captain fumed, ‘I better not see him’ he said as he turn and walked back to his office, ‘I’ll be damn if he burns this station to the ground’
They soon entered the elevator and head down to the car park. Then they got into Mike’s car. ‘Before we go’ said Mike, ‘How do you feel about Isaac?’
She looked at him, ‘I don’t trust him, how do you know he won’t go mad and start hurting innocent people?’
‘I don’t’ he said. ‘But I saw him saved a group of small children last night, he made sure they were safely out of the way as he fought Bomber’
‘Wait, he was the one who took him down?’ she said. ‘I thought the ACA was the one who caught him?’
‘Goes to show they don’t tell the public anything’ said Mike turning on the engine. ‘They probably bribe the families to keep their children quiet, after all they don’t want the public to think there is one Aftershok who could be a hero’ They drove out of the car park and stopped infront of the building. ‘Give him a chance, you will see what I saw last night’
Rebecca look out the window, looking up at the window to their office as Isaac climbed out, hanging off the windowsill he jump down to the next window, then kept dropping down until he reach the pavement.
‘I admit, he is good at climbing’ she said.
Isaac got into the back seat. ‘Ah back in the crap-mobile, that is what I am calling this car’ he said, putting on his seatbelt as they drove through the city.
‘Please don’t insult my car’ said Mike. ‘This car has seen many crime before you were even born’
‘Oh so you started in the fifties?’ Isaac laughed until he suddenly fell to the ground, spazzing like he was getting electrocuted. Rebecca look over to Mike who held up a remote. He explained about Isaac’s ankle bracelet to her. ‘Nice feature’ she said smiling at the remote.
‘It what makes me happy’ he said putting the remote back in his pocket.
Isaac held himself up, straining to point a finger to Mike, ‘You suck’ he said before falling back down.
The Church is located in the Suburban District, southwest of the city past the small bridge over the gutters. Isaac was looking out the window at the passing houses. Rebecca did her homework on him last night, despite the impressive violent record at school, he used to live in this district. He was so close to home.
She looked back out the window. Personally she thinks this is a horrible idea. Aftershoks have a habit of going rouge and hurting innocent people, Rebecca has seen too many of them causing destruction across the city, splitting up families in the process. But if Mike wants to give him this chance then the best she can do is wait until he screws it up.
Speaking of which, Isaac decided to spend the time asking stupid questions. ‘Are we there yet?’
‘No’ said Mike.
‘Can I take the ankle bracelet off?’
‘No’
‘Can I have a gun?’
‘Sure’
‘Really?’
‘NO!’
‘Honestly do you ever stop being annoying?’ Rebecca asked him.
‘It depends on my mood’ said Isaac looking at his fingernails.
‘We’re here’ Mike turned off the engine.
Across from them is the old church, abandoned with a gate trapping it inside the dead grassy area. The stain glass windows had icons of old saints with a halo behind their heads, underneath each of them is the graffiti that said some very mean words. If Rebecca cameacross this old church in the middle of the night she would run the other way. Isaac was staring at it from the bottom of the window. ‘Ok we seen the place lets go’ he said.

‘We are going to check it out’ Mike told him.
‘Why? It’s empty, your source is probably senile so she would have saw anything’ shrugged Isaac. ‘Trust me no one in their right mind would go to a scary looking place like…’ he paused, sweat running down his forehead as he spun his head to the church. ‘Ok, my Heat Sense went off big time’
‘You’re what?’ asked Rebecca.
‘My Heat Sense’ Isaac said to her, ‘I thought it only activates if I’m in danger, but since last night…’ he rubbed his shoulder, ‘Maybe it doesn’t warn me of danger but warns me if there is another Aftershok near me’
‘When was the last time you had your “Heat Sense” activated?’ Mike asked not taking his eyes off the church.
Isaac tilt his head; Rebecca could tell he was hiding something with that worried look on his face. ‘Back with Bomber Ali’ he told them, ‘It was how I knew he was going to start trouble’ Mike didn’t look convinced, but he nodded either way.
‘Can you tell how many are inside right now?’
‘I’m sweating like a pig, does that mean anything?’ Isaac pulled the collar of his hoodie to illustrate his point.
‘Then there is a lot inside’ said Mike. ‘We need to know what they are doing’
‘I could go and check’ Isaac said quickly, ‘I’ll go in through the roof and spy on them, it will be cool’
‘No, we don’t know if they have the same ability as you’ Mike told him. ‘You showing up out of nowhere would scare them into attacking’
‘I can be quiet, and besides I’m sure they’re friendly’ said Isaac hopefully.
‘How about I go’ said Rebecca, ‘They can’t sense me since I’m not one of you’ she glared at Isaac when she said that.
‘Might be a bad idea’ said Mike.
‘I can keep my phone on, you guys will be able to listen in’ she pulled out her phone. ‘We need to find out what they are doing in there, if they are part of the Revolution then it might be bad news for the city’ and mostly she doesn’t want to give Isaac the chance to join them.
Mike looked at her for a second. ‘Fine, keep your phone on’ he said pulling out his phone and dial her number. Rebecca pressed answer, ‘There, now we would hear you on speaker. I got some more surveillance in the trunk just in case’ he got out of the car, Rebecca followed leaving Isaac alone in the car as they went to the trunk and opened it up.
Rebecca folded her arms, ‘You don’t have surveillance gear in here’ she said.
Mike made sure the lid was blocking Isaac’s view of them. ‘I notice your attitude towards Isaac’ he said.
‘What happened to giving him a chance?’
‘Isn’t he a little too eager to go to the church?’ Rebecca told him. ‘How do we know he isn’t a spy for the Revolution, you shouldn’t have let him join us Mike’
‘There is no way they would have contacted him yet’ Mike told her.
‘Are you sure?’ she said. ‘He had an entire day before he went to Vivid, not to mention that he was out in the city all night so anything could have happened. Do you think if he had met someone from the Revolution he would tell us?’ Mike didn’t say anything. ‘Yeah, thought so’ she slammed the trunk closed, making Isaac jump in the back seat and spun his head to them.
‘Trust me, sooner or later he will show his true colours’ she put her phone in her jacket then made her way to the gate. ‘It’s only a matter of time’ Mike watch her go then went back into the car, which Isaac decided to climb into the front seat.
She did feel bad for going off like that. But she has seen the damage the Aftershoks did so it is kinda hard to believe that one of them is actually a good guy. There have been Aftershoks who tried to be heroes in the early days but they soon turned bad once the ACA was hunting them. Maybe they would have stayed good if it weren’t for them but she will never know.
She found the hole the teenagers made to get in and squeeze herself through. She quickly jogged to the wall and peer into the window. She count five Aftershoks all standing near the altar. She can’t hear a word they are saying so she needed to get closer.
‘She doesn’t like me that much does she?’
She pouted, that was Isaac’s voice from her phone. She needs to tell him to shut up before he gets her caught. She held the phone in her hand.
‘Rebecca has seen too much for any young detective’ came Mike’s voice. ‘Don’t let it get to you, like everyone she just needs time’
Rebecca lean her head back; he always finds a way to make her feel bad. She held the phone up to her mouth, ‘Hey guys, I’m about to head in. would you please keep quiet?’ they both stopped talking. Rebecca held her phone down as she made it to the back door. She climb up the steps and slowly open the door…
‘Wait did she wanted a response?’
She heard the sound of Mike smacking Isaac in the back of the head, making him cry out. She then entered the church. She was in the place where the priests perform the Holy Communion ceremony. She crept slowly to the open doorway to the large area with the chairs, and hid beside the wall, holding the phone in her hand as she peer around the corner, listening to the meeting.
On the stage was a huge bloke, coated silver from head to toe. Before him standing by the chairs were the other four Aftershoks. One had a green mohawk and a leather vest, with some piercings in his nose and chin. There was a young girl wearing a white hood that hid her face, but Rebecca could see strands of blonde hair down her shoulders. Another girl had fiery red hair, that seem to be moving on their own in the air like snakes, she was wearing black robes like a witch. The fourth one had a turtle shell, that did nothing to cover his thick arms. Rebecca could tell she does not want to be caught by them anytime soon.
‘…Now let us get to business’ said the silver big guy. ‘I am sure we all heard what has happened to Bomber Ali, how he failed to send a message to the ACA’ he spoke with a deep Russian accent.
‘Bomber was a joke Solkivich’ said the Punk with the Mohawk. ‘I’m surprise it took them so long to bring him down with that cocky attitude of his’
‘Like you could do any better Spike’ said the white hood girl.
‘I could take on the whole ACA if I wanted to’ said Spike. ‘Hell I might lead the entire raid on their base, we don’t need that Ember in the first place’
‘Ember is part of the plan’ Solkivich said to him, ‘Our Hero wants us to find her as quickly as possible before they could create their weapon’
‘How hard can it be to find her anyway?’ said Spike.
‘Her power allows her to form into one with her smoke’ said Solkivich, ‘Finding her will not be easy but we are sending our best people on it’
‘Whoopie’ Spike said sarcastically.
‘What about this Aftershok Ghostgal told us about?’ the red hair asked. ‘Has he joined us yet?’
‘Hero has already spoken to him last night’ Solkivich told them, ‘He has yet made a decision but will give his answer tonight. I think Isaac Clarke will be a valuable asset to us’
Rebecca fumed; she knew it! She knew that guy was no good from the start. She bet he is sweating right now getting his secret meeting expose right infront of Mike. The Russian continued, pacing around. ‘Soon we will be ready for the raid on the ACA building, but for now how is the mining going?’
‘Those slaves we have taken are working to the bone digging for those strange rocks’ said Ghostgal, the one in the white hood. ‘So far we haven’t found anything yet, but with the small vein we spotted we should be close’
‘Prevoskhodno’ he said. ‘Our Hero will be pleased with your work, keep me updated’
‘We will commander’
‘We are close to claiming this city for ourselves’ said Solkivich. ‘The police are barely a joke, and the ACA will soon fall to the power of the Revolution. We are counting on you five to do your duty. The Storm has chosen us to be the strong, and as the strong we must triumph over the weak. It is the natural order’
‘Can’t wait to bust some heads’ smiled the Turtle man.
‘Screw that, think of all the slaves we will get’ said Spike, ‘I have some ideas for my haram’
‘You’re a pig’ said the Red Hair.
‘I better get back to the hospital anyway’ said Ghostgal. ‘My break has already exceeded the thirty minutes’
‘Get back, it’s important all of us continue our job’ said Solkivich. ‘Our Hero needs to have his eyes and ears everywhere in this city’
This is really bad. They are talking about taking over the city, but there is still one thing that is bothering Rebecca. Solkivich said he was counting on those five, but besides him she counted four. ‘By the way, where is Wind Reaper?’ asked the Russian.
‘He is taking a nap in the Altar room just behind you’ said Spike. ‘That dude gets tired a lot these days with all the flying’
Rebecca got a chill on the back of her neck. She turned her head to see Wind Reaper standing right behind her, hand outstretch as he blew her out with a gust of wind. She was flung to the stage, tumbling to a stop, her phone sliding across the floor still in call when Solkivich stomp his boot onto it, smashing it. He looked down with his silver metallic face. ‘We got a spy’
Rebecca look up to see the rest of the Aftershoks gather around her. She gulped. ‘Looks like a cop to me’ said Spike, ‘And a cute one at that’ his eyes went to her bottom.
Ghostgal look down at her, Rebecca could see her blue eyes glowing bright under the darkness of her hood. ‘She must have heard everything; we should kill her’ Rebecca went cold.
‘How about we make her suffer a bit’ Red Hair’s hair moved, flowing like snakes as two of them wrapped around Rebecca’s neck, choking the air out of her.
‘Sounds fun’ Spike pulled out a spike from his palm and swipe it across her cheek, making it bleed.
‘Fine, have your fun’ smiled Solkivich, ‘Perhaps sending the policemen her broken body would be a good example of how weak they are’
Rebecca struggle as they all pound on her, punching her face, kicking her ribs while the hair around her neck tightens, feeling the wind cutting into her. She tried to thrash but they kept their distance, beating her senselessly. Rebecca closed her eyes, trying her best to ignore the pain. Would Mike come in to get her? If he even tries he would just wind up in the same situation as her. The Red Hair suspended her in the air as Spike held up a large spike, holding it like a spear. The other Aftershoks stood and watch, all with smirks on their faces.
‘Sorry luv, but this is the new way of things’ said Spike.
‘The Strong overpowers the Weak’ said Solkivich.
Rebecca blinked away tears, seeing Spike holding up the spear for the final blow to the head. Before he could stab her, the wall behind them gave way as Mike drove the car straight into the church, with Isaac riding on top.
Isaac leapt off the roof of the car and push out his hand. Rebecca watch a wave of heat shot out and blew them all back, except for Solkivich who the heat didn’t affect at all with that metal body. The hair loosen around her neck, she tore herself free and fell to the ground, Isaac going up to her and holding her up. ‘You ok?’ he asked.
‘Don’t touch me’ she said pushing herself off.
Isaac held up his hands, ‘Geez fine, your welcome by the way for saving your ass’
‘I didn’t need your help’ she told him.
The Aftershoks gathered behind Solkivich. ‘That’s the guy I told you about’ said Ghostgal.
‘Isaac Clarke’ mumbled Solkivich.
Mike went and held Rebecca to his side. ‘Can you stand?’ he asked. Rebecca nodded and stood up without his help.
Isaac kept his eyes on the Aftershoks, a stupid grin on his face. ‘I heard of weird ass cults, but you guys defiantly deserve to be the weirdest’ he joked.
‘Why don’t you come over here and we’ll see who is weird’ said Spike.
‘Don’t mind if I do’ Isaac was about to move when Solkivich held up his hand.
‘Ostanovka!’ he said. ‘You five need to leave, we don’t know if the ACA are on their way. I will deal with them quickly’
The Aftershoks look at each other, but all five ran to the door, leaving their Commander alone with the cops and Isaac. Solkivich cracked his neck, making a metallic creaking noise as he does so. ‘Not impress, I can do that too’ Isaac said, cracking his own neck. When he made a loud snap he cowered, ‘OUCH! That was embarrassing’
Rebecca groaned, ‘Can’t he take this seriously?’ she whispered to Mike.
‘Keep watching’ Mike told her, holding his gun by his side. ‘You will see what I saw last night’
Isaac ran up to the metal Russian and threw a punch, he cracked his knuckles against his skin. Isaac cried out as Solkivich grabbed his hoodie and threw him back, Mike and Rebecca ducked as he smashed into the car, Isaac went through the bonnet and onto the engine. ‘Ok, now I’m mad’ he said. He suddenly look at the engine, ‘Oh hell’
The engine blew up, throwing him from the blazing fire into the ceiling where he hit his head on the stone then dropped into the chairs, breaking a few as he landed. Mike looked back at his car, now on fire from the engine. ‘What the hell happened?’ she asked, unable to believe what she just witnessed.
‘His anger affects the heat around him’ said Mike. ‘His heat rose so fast he affected the engine he was sitting on’
Rebecca winced, ‘That was your favourite car too’
‘I’m ok!’ announced Isaac standing up, he wiped the blood from his head. ‘I probably got a concussion but still dandy’
Rebecca rolled her eyes, the Russian isn’t going to let them leave alive, unless Isaac can beat him. They are so dead. Solkivich walked up to Isaac, ‘Why do you fight against us brother?’ he asked. ‘Aren’t we all the same?’
Isaac glared at him. ‘Yeah, you are made of fricken metal mate. That is kinda the major difference between us’ he ran up and tried a kick, only smashing his foot to the point he started hopping on one foot, holding his injured foot, and cursing with each hop. Now Rebecca wish he would hurry up and kill her so she doesn’t have to watch this embarrassing display anymore.
‘I do not wish to fight you’ Solkivich said to him. ‘We are the same you and I, and all of our brethren. Why do you fight for the ones who would see you locked up?’
‘Uh, cause you’re bad guys?’ said Isaac like it was obvious. ‘And I’m a superhero, so it’s pretty much my new job’ he tried shooting more Heat Waves at him, but the Russian didn’t even bulge.
‘You think by pretending to be this Superhero you would gain their respect?’ that struck a nerve with Isaac so he stopped trying to attack. ‘You are but another monster to them, chained and leashed to do their own work for them. Look’ he pointed to Mike and Rebecca, the latter feeling targeted. ‘They watch while you fight their battles, where is the respect?’ Isaac look at them.
‘No matter what you do, they will always hate you for being stronger. Hence why they keep you trapped by your own hubris, your own stupidity’ Isaac looked down, Rebecca now feeling guilty. ‘Have they treated you like a person? Like a human being since you started pretending to be superhero?’
Rebecca thought about how she was acting all morning with him. She felt the guilt rise up in her chest, if he chooses to attack them right now it would be her fault. Solkivich continued ‘Join us, right here. You have a place with the Revolution, Our Hero can give you a new purpose. You no longer need to pretend’ he bumped his chest. ‘Prisoyedinyaysya k revolyutsii, moy brat’
Isaac looked back at them, a new look in his eyes. Rebecca could see the fury burn in his eyes and feared the worse. ‘You’re right’ he said in a cold voice. ‘No matter how much I try, I will always be the monster they make me out to be. It would be so easy to kill them all with my power’ Mike kept his eyes on his, his gun ready at his side. ‘I hate the prejudice they showed me, the hatred they all have in their eyes. I was in a coma for a year, the least they could do is go easy on me, give me one chance to prove I am not like the others. But of course, I guess it’s no use in the end’ Rebecca watch him, actually feeling sorry for this guy ‘But if there is one thing that gets on my nerves, more then all of those put together is a bully’
He looked at Solkivich, rage burning in his eyes, Rebecca could feel the intense heat coming off his body. ‘Someone who use their strength to pick on those who can’t defend themselves, especially a defenceless woman!’ he clenched his fists. ‘That is exactly what you and your mates did!’ Solkivich glared at him, all sense of pretence gone. ‘You and your buddies took joy in beating Rebecca when it was clear she couldn’t fight back, you beaten her and torture her for no good reason other than to make yourselves feel better. That makes me sick! Which is why if the cops or the ACA can’t take you pricks down, then I will do it myself!’
‘I see you have made your choice’ Solkivich said in a voice as cold as the metal on his skin. ‘Very well, as a Commander of the Revolution, and for our Hero, I will make sure you will not come after my brethren, even if I have to go against our laws to do it’ he charged, Isaac dodge out of the way of his punches, but Solkivich got him across the jaw then grabbed him and threw him across the hall, hitting a few chairs and landing by the fire of Mike’s car.
‘You are weak’ Solkivich said cracking his steel knuckles. ‘The Strong always prevails over the Weak, it is why you will lose Superhero’ he came charging at him, ‘Once I crush you I will crush the policemen who dare think they can stop us!’ he punched Isaac across the jaw, sending him back until his back was touching the flames. ‘You are a fool for choosing the side of the weak’
‘Only the Strong prevails huh?’ grinned Isaac getting a scary evil look in his red eyes, to Rebecca his grinning face looks like a demon. ‘Then let me show you how weak you really are’ he held up his hands, absorbing the heat from the flames as it funnelled into his palms. Rebecca watch as the injuries he received started healing. She wished she could heal like that. Solkivich came up to Isaac and threw both fists towards his head, aiming to crush his skull.
Isaac quickly clench a fist and dug it into the side of his metal head, the fists burning with intense heat that the metal skin started to melt. Solkivich was taken aback by this that he stopped, the side of his face melting off as Isaac sent another punched into his gut, melting through it as well. ‘It burns!’ bellowed the Russian, ‘How are you doing this?’
‘DOUWAAAAA!’
Solkivich was pummelled by a rain of punches, each melting a part of his body upon each impact. Isaac roared his battle cry as he kept on punching, stopping with one final punch that pushed the big half melted Russian to the ground, leaving him as nothing but a deformed puddle on the church floor, his eyes rolling around on part of his head and his jaw swimming away. His muscles have all melted down to skinny length as they thrash uselessly unable to rise above the silver puddle half of his body has become. Isaac stood over him, one hand on his hip and the other at his side.
‘Who’s the weak one now?’ mocked Isaac.
Rebecca couldn’t believe her eyes. It was like she was seeing him for the first time. Mike smirked as he put his gun away. ‘You look like someone who was proven wrong’ he said to her.
She pouted and turned her head away, ‘Shut up, he is still annoying’ she said.
