Lux ate a lot of food. He absolutely loved the protein banana nut muffins after Remington ate a whole muffin to prove to him that they were safe. He ended up eating 5 of them plus he bagged up several to take to his room to eat later on since he knew they were not poisonous. After the meal was over Remington took Lux back to his room where he quickly lit up a cigarette and tried to relax after the very stressful meal. It wasn't long after when there was a tap at the door. Remington answered it and let Ava come into the bedroom and ushered him over to the bed to sit.
“Hmm, how am I not surprised.” Lux said. Ava watched him curiously. “And what about me?” Lux seemed very distracted. “Shit you are so fucking demanding.” He paused. “Alright alright. Don't worry I said! I will handle it.” Lux turned to Remington.
“Remington, we have work to do.” He said seriously.
“What kind of work?” Remington asked, very interested.
“The three of us are now working together. Ava and I have at least a week to manifest our talents. We need to be focused on that. We also have other objectives but I will get to that when it's time.” Lux said seriously.
“How do you know this stuff?” Remington asked.
“Mmm. Good question.” Lux looked amused. “Vezaias is telling me everything I need to know.” Lux continued. Ava looked struck. Remington looked emotional.
“You have communication with him?? How??” Ava was still in disbelief.
“He hasn't shut up since I got into this room.” Lux said seriously, taking another long drag off of his cigarette.
“So what am I supposed to do? He wouldn't tell me anything, he said I was horrible at lying.” Remington said with a mild cringe. Lux chuckled at this.
“Chill Remington, we need to keep a low profile. First we have to focus on Ava.” Lux said. Ava piped up at the highlight.
“Me? Focus on me for what?” Ava asked in bewilderment.
“Number one Ava, you are no longer to trust anyone outside of this bedroom.” Lux said seriously. Ava looked unhappy now.
“But..”
“No buts Ava. Nobody else is safe, those people out there especially the one that killed Vezaias, none of them are your friends anymore. Understand?” Lux pressed. Ava was serious and quiet. “Now, you are welcome to fool them into believing you are friends. I know how good you are at that.” Lux continued as he smoked more of his cigarette. “Because if we act suspicious, they will notice.” Lux said, letting the smoke woft over his face and up into the air.
“I suppose I could do that, but I want to know what is going on first.” Ava said seriously.
“We are getting our chess pieces in place and moving ourselves into position so that we will have check mate before anyone realizes we have even started the game. There is a lot at stake, more than I can explain to you. If we do things properly we may have exactly what we want in the end.” Lux said.
“But just having this conversation, they will know. Skyler will be able to see it.” Remington highlighted.
“Negative, this bedroom is shielded. So Skyler won't be able to see anything we don't want him to. I won't tell you why that way if they decide to ask why you can tell them you don't know why without lying.” Lux said. “If he tries to look he will only see a mundane scenario.”
“Well aren't you a bucket full of strategy.” Ava mused.
“Nah, this is all Vezaias doing. He was prepared. I'm just a messenger.” Lux chuckled, taking another drag then putting out the cigarette. “Your brother is a genius you know. He set this all up for us to continue his agenda.”
“But I am supposed to be freeing Vincent.” Remington said.
“And you will continue to do that. It's all part of the plan.” Lux said. “Now, Ava..” Lux stood up. “Time to work.” Ava looked nervous now. “Come here.” Ava got up and approached Lux very apprehensively.
“Ava….” Lux began as he stood up and turned towards Ava. “….you know that the last time I saw you…..things got a little crazy.” Lux said smoothly. “But I am trying to help accomplish some important shit.” He paused as he guided Ava against the wall. Remington wasn't sure what Lux's tactic was, or what he was trying to accomplish but he was supposed to trust Lux. “I always helped you when you demanded it. I made sure you had what you wanted, didn't I?”
“I was a bit of a glutton wasn't I?” Ava mused thoughtfully.
“You know that I fell in love with you back then right?” Lux pressed him harder into the wall. Ava looked emotional now.
“I know that, and I loved you too.” Ava said
“Yeah, I know…” Lux started. “….but….” He paused. “…..I had to pick one or the other……you…….or Vezaias……” Lux was now advancing on Ava leaning in very close to his face. Ava swallowed nervously. “……and you know that I picked Vezaias.” Lux finished looking at Ava very seductively. Ava looked heartbroken now.
“Yes, I know this.” Ava looked away angrily. Lux turned to Remington now.
“And you….the same situation right? Who did you pick?” Lux asked, looking mischievous.
“I picked Vezaias too.” Remington said seriously. “I indulged myself with Ava at first, because he looks like Vezaias, and he sometimes sounds like him, but it got harder and harder to imagine him as Vezaias, and eventually all I could see was Ava…” Remington explained mildly. Lux grinned wickedly then turned back to Ava. Ava was angry now and close to tears.
“Yes, everyone picks Vee over me, what's your fucking point?!” Ava snapped looking as far away from Lux's icy eyes that fixated on him as possible. He would have tried to escape Lux's hold on him but Lux was too strong.
“He is better than you. He's more attractive, he's stronger, he's more charismatic, more desirable…..” Lux listed.
“Don't forget he is better at sex.” Remington highlighted sounding amused.
“Ah, yes. He is a much better fuck than you are.” Lux said maliciously. Ava shoved him as hard as he could. Lux countered by slamming him against the wall and using his body weight to keep him in place.
“Don't forget he's a huge asshole too!” Ava snapped angrily struggling to get free now. “Can you please get to your fucking point already?!”
“My point Ava…..” Lux paused. “……is that I know you are good at mimicking him. You know how to act like him, you know how to talk like him…..” Lux trailed off. “…and you are great at acting.” Lux said, smiling wickedly. “…..you have been practicing nearly all of your life to be more like him.”
“Let's face it Ava, it's one of your best qualities.” Remington mused.
“Can we cut to the part where you explain why you are both being such bastards?!” Ava shouted.
“Don't you want to be more like him? If you could be? Maybe like right now; if you were to mimic him perfectly maybe you would be what we both wanted, and you would have both of us.” Lux said smoothly. Ava stopped struggling and looked serious.
“Do it Ava. Let me hear that Vezaias voice you are so good at imitating.” Lux pressed. Ava paused, still looking irritated.
“His voice is so much more attractive than yours Ava.” Remington said. He approached from behind Lux. “I've heard you sound like him purposely. You think I didn't know you were doing that just to be more appealing to me?” Remington said cooley. Ava looked back and forth from Remington to Lux then with determination he gathered his resolve.
“Shut up already, I think you both are officially the shittiest people in the fucking world.” Ava said very flatly doing his best Vezaias impression. Lux looked thrilled now.

“Very good Ava, but still not quite enough. I think you can do better.” Lux said, leaning into him again. “….and if you can do it perfectly….” Lux said seductively. “You know how very attracted we both are to Vezaias, he is absolutely irresistible to us.” Lux continued.
“Yeah? You want more than this?” Ava said angrily but diving deeper into character.
“I want perfection Ava.” Lux said seriously.
“If you can't do it, then we really don't care to keep you around, just go back home already.” Remington said firmly. Ava was suddenly very angry and he grabbed Lux and with a twirl he knocked him into the wall.
“I ain't fucking going anywhere! You both are going to let me do what the fuck I want to do because I am that kind of asshole! And you are both going to listen to me because in case you are forgetting you both belong to me!!! I own both of you!!!” Ava shouted. Suddenly his body and physical appearance shifted, hair shortening, muscle definition increasing, jawline defining, eyes looking more serious, and growing at least five inches in height. He completely changed into Vezaias, right down to the clothes he wore, body language, and the deepening of his voice. Lux looked very satisfied. Remington was overwhelmingly struck by how exactly he looked now. It was perfect.
“Shit Ava. That is fucking amazing.” Lux said, still looking thrilled. “Congratulations, your talent is Mimic. Damn you look just like him.” Ava took a step back and held out his hands and looked around at what he could see of himself that was now molded into a perfect likeness of his brother.
“What the actual fuck?!” Ava said in astonishment.
“What the actual fuck indeed Ava. Wow.” Lux said, looking him over from head to toe. Ava turned to look at Remington. Remington was struck and emotional now with his mouth open slightly not able to tear his eyes away.
“What's the matter Rem? Is this uncomfortable for you?” Ava said still very much in character. His voice was luscious, his likeness was terribly desirable.
“I think he is overwhelmed.” Lux highlighted. Ava looked amused. He walked over to Remington and reached up cupping Remington's cheek near his remaining eye, then drawing him closer and kissing him. Remington pushed Ava away in irritation. Ava rolled his eyes in a very Vezaias style.
“That's all I got for now. We can work on this more again later.” Lux said finally.
“We need to get going, I'm supposed to go and free Vincent.” Remington said sitting on the bed.
“That's all great but…..how do I change back?” Ava said seriously.
“Stop doing your impression of him, and I'm sure you will need to stop wanting to be him right now.” Lux suggested.
“Ugh, but….” Ava paused looking unhappy. “….both of you prefer him so…” Ava said “….maybe I should stay like this…..”
“Nah, you shouldn’t.” Lux said firmly.
“Or maybe I don't want to change back…” Ava now insisted.
“Ava we need you to keep this shit a secret! Understand?!” Lux snapped. Ava was serious. “Besides, I'd much rather you be yourself, then Vezaias.” Lux continued looking mildly at him. Ava thought about this for a moment, he then shifted to leaning back and crossing one leg over the other acting more like himself now. Soon the facade began to fade away and he was himself again.
“Much better Ava.” Lux said lighting another cigarette. He took a few drags letting the smoke bellow out for a moment. “We all have a role to play in this plan. We will meet and work on this every day. We also need to be as inconspicuous as possible. So stick to your previous behavior, stay friends with these assholes for as long as possible.” Lux paused. “Ugh I know I will tell them just shut up already, damn!” Lux snapped. “Vezaias is giving these directions, we need to stick to them and if we do……well I won't get into that right now. Ava I am to remind you that Lucius is our biggest threat right now, he is very suspicious of Remington and you are too keep him distracted so he does not end up killing me or Remington.” Lux paused. “And Rem, take full advantage of the training Rocks is still hell bent of providing. You are our biggest offensive weapon.” Lux explain then he took another drag of his cigarette. “Thats all for now. We should get going, we have something more important to do today.” Lux said putting out his cigarette.
Remington decided to go to Demetri's house in reality first since the last time he was there, he basically told him he would commit suicide and never see him again. Lux and Ava both followed him down the stairs. The house was nearly completely packed up now, and almost everything was in boxes. When Remington got to the bottom of the stairs Demetri immediately jumped up from his seat and sprinted over, smashing into Remington and hugging him tightly.
“You're alive!” He exclaimed, nearly choking Remington with his tight grasp.
“Ugh, yeah Dem! I'm alive!” Remington cringed as Demetri began to cry.
“Where have you been!? It's been days! You just disappeared!” Demetri sobbed hysterically. Remington could only hug him and listen as he cried. “Our keycards stopped working! We had no way to contact you! I thought I would never see you again!” Demetri pulled away rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand then looking closer at Remington. “Oh Rem, look what they did to your eye!” Demetri looked crushed now. Remington was confused, Demetri should have already known about his missing eye. “Vezaias said there was a fight, and he escaped, but you didn't. Who did this to you?” Demetri was cupping Remington's cheek and filled with sorrow.
“What! Vezaias was here?! What are you talking about??” Remington nearly shouted.
“He told us that Lucius from Skyler's world attacked you both. He said they were convinced he was evil and they thought he was controlling and abusing you, so they tried to kill him and then they locked him out of their world when he escaped, but you didn't make it out, we all thought you were dead, or that you were being held against your will!” Demetri explained painfully. Remington was now trying to wrap his mind around this information. “Is this true??” Demetri was just as urgent for information. Remington paused wondering what information he should give up.
“It's true. We were just trying to get Ava out of there to take him with us. That's when Lucius attacked us. He impaled Vezaias with his weapon, I thought he was dead! Then they knocked me unconscious, took away my keycard, strapped me to a bed, and drilled me about how Vezaias was controlling me. It was just insane.” Remington said looking very irritated.
“How did you escape??” Demetri asked urgently.
“Well, they have had me under tight surveillance and locked up without a keycard. I've had to convince them that I'm not dangerous, that I won't be hostile, then they started to slowly trust me again, and give me back my privileges and my keycard. I finally was able to leave the base today. So I came here as soon as I was allowed.” Remington explained.
“Oh Rem, why would they do this to you?” Demetri huffed with more tears pouring out.
“It's complicated, and I really don't know.” Remington said seriously.
“Can I smoke in here?” Lux's raspy voice interjected.
“Oh! I'd rather you don't…” Demetri said nervously. “.….who is this?” Demetri asked Remington.
“Uh! This is Lux. He is uh….” Remington stammered.
“He's the one who broke into the venue and shot at us!!” Demetri exclaimed.
“Uh! I mean sort of?” Remington said nervously.
“No, that was definitely me.” Lux said looking very aloof, then he seemed distracted.
“Rem, why did you bring him here??” Demetri asked urgently.
“Well, it's because um…” Remington stammered.
“Remington is my new medical proxy, and I am his zombie slave, so I have to follow him wherever he goes, plus he's not the brightest cookie in the sand box, so I have been helping him figure out how to jailbreak into all these alternate delusions. Seems a little bit stereotypical since I'm the only felon he knows.” Lux said very seriously. “Benefits me a lot though because he willingly volunteers to test all of my food for poison. So I take it you don't have an ashtray then? Because I really need a cigarette.” Lux seemed to be rambling quickly now. Demetri looked completely lost in the explanation and Remington only laughed nervously.
“I can explain better.” Remington said quickly.
“My explanation was sufficient, can we go someplace where I can smoke?” Lux said seriously.
“Ugh, Ava will you take him outside so he can have a cigarette and bring him back. I need to talk to Demetri.
“Sure, Remi.” Ava looked very amused. Lux followed him upstairs. Remington waited until he heard the front door open before turning back to Demetri.
“He broke into the venue to find Vezaias. They were friends in highschool, but they did a lot of bad things together and it's a long story but Vezaias knew Lux was going downhill mentally and he was planning on shooting up his school, so Vezaias got him arrested and he went to prison. He got out of prison almost a year ago and he has been living at a halfway house. Vezaias told him he could have one chance to kill him for snitching on him and if he saw Vezaias on Good Morning City and tracked him to the venue and took his shot. Well he failed. He forgave Vezaias, but since the concert he has been at the base, he has some very serious mental health issues, and since he left the halfway house he has been off his medication and going downhill quickly. He ended up committing suicide at the base just after the battle we had. They all voted to recreated him as his death had nothing to do with Vezaias or the battle that happened. So he believes he is a zombie, and my slave because I have taken it upon myself to help him so he has to go wherever I go. He's really a very docile guy, and very sweet, once you understand his unusual behavior.” Remington explained. Demetri seemed to consider all of this.
“What are his mental health conditions?” Demetri asked curiously.
“He has bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. I know it sounds bad, but it causes him to hear voices and hallucinate, so if he seems distracted it's because he is listening to the voices, but he still knows if you are talking to him, he also has manic episodes and depressive episodes. Zexich has put him back on the medication he should be taking but he is not dangerous.” Remington said firmly towards the end.
“He shot at us with a gun.” Demetri highlighted.
“Yes he did, but he purposely aimed away from actually hitting anyone, just to help him move through the venue to get to the dressing room. He never actually intended to kill anyone but himself, and I suppose Vezaias, but only because of the one shot deal Vezaias gave him.” Remington sighed. Demetri looked contemplative.
“Alright, I won't call the police then, because they are still looking for him.” Demetri said seriously. “I just hope you are right about how safe he is.” Demetri pressed
“He is, Dem. I really like him. Just be accepting of his usual behavior, and don't try to convince him of strange things he believes. It will scare him. Other than that he is great.” Remington said very upbeat.
