    If you haven’t done all of the sidequests, it’s hard to understate just how much confirming the Thing’s existence actually upends our entire understanding of so much of the game’s backstory. There’s so many random events in Manusyara’s history that now might be all part of a sinister plan or greater picture.

  Okay, this might be a bit of a stretch, but hear me out:

  There are six elements in the game: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, then you can sort of include Physical and Null. We know there are six Realms, two of which are Manusyara and ‘Hell’. And now we know that the Black Moon has an unusual resonance with Water, and we’re possibly setting up the Black Moon as a super endgame worldending boss.

  Do you think it’s possible that each of the elements corresponds to one of the Realms, and that we’re going to have to fight a superboss from each one in SOLS’s endgame?

  Currently, I think we have:

    No I think this theory might have some legs. All the T0 uniques from the Harvest mechanic are all Earth-based, and in the last expansion we had for it, we got a lot of hints that the Elysian Grove might have extraterrestrial or extraplanar origins. There’s also some sneaky dialogue scattered about the possibility that there might be something to explore beyond the Hollowing Mist. I think we’re definitely going to be spending a lot of time in the Elysian Grove’s dimension in the future.

    I think you might be a bit hasty declaring The Seven Legions as Fire-aligned just because they’re demons. Given what we know about Calybcor and Sol, Manusyara might actually be the Realm of Fire because of its strong connection to sunlight.

  God I really hope Estelle’s not a princess from another world or something like that. I’m okay with her being ‘special’ in the sense that she’s an extraplanar anomaly, but I really think her story works so much better if that’s all she is.

  Obviously we’re still only at Episode 2, but I feel like the entire point of her character at this point is that it doesn’t matter who she was before. Revealing that she’s like some super secret prophesied princess from the Hell Realm or something that was sent away to Manusyara to protect her life would just leave a sour taste in my mouth.

    I don’t think I would worry too much. SOLS is usually pretty consistent with their character arcs from the first second a character shows up on screen, and since we’ve had absolutely no hints at Estelle’s part or any clue that it’s even relevant, it’ll probably stay that way.
