The trees didn't extend further, Trixie put down her footsie and stood her ground, she would not let that spread further, it had ruined enough as it was, it was going to ruin the vibes!
Trixie didn't want the vibes ruined!
But now that it was coming to this, perhaps Trixie would turn into full spectator mode? It was going to be an epic fight like no one had ever had before!
It was the first actual fight that Trixie could see! So she needed to focus on seeing how it would go! She had earned enough from this encounter anyway, she now knew that there were people that could resist her ToyBox!
That had been a surprise, none of the White peeps had been able to do that... Or perhaps it was because most of the White Peeps were Trixie's toys to some degree?
And those that weren't her toys was just because they weren't quite yet her toys?
Those that got recruited or reimbursed or something, Papa liked to take in peeps from the streets and train them to be knights or something. Trixie had to spend some extra time drawing squiggles whenever one of those wanted to become a Knight after all.
That was tiring! Trixie was tired! She could only draw so many squiggles!
But now that Papa was fighting, things changed! Papa needed all of Trixie's attention, so she needed to change the way that she was thinking and seeing things!
This called for a POV Jump!
--------------------------------------------------------
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, what the everloving fuck was this?!?!?!?" The same thought ran around screaming in his mind ever since he was teleported into the white compound.
"Everything will be fine Darian, they are just some upstarts that are taking in the void created from the Yagamine family downfall... They aren't that relevant, the only good thing they have is their Patriarch called Albert, you can do this Darian," The goddamned fools had said, "Their Knights are below average, proof that they have a broken inheritance and not a whole one. They are more powerful than civilians but that's about it Darian."
AND YOU CALL THIS EASY?!?!?!
THAT GODDAMNED MONSTER IN THE FORM OF A LITTLE GIRL IS NOT NORMAL! WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCKFACED FUCK IS THAT MONSTER?!?!?!?
"You sure about this? Think about it, O King of White..." He couldn't help but ask, hoping for the best as they say, his magicks hadn't worked that good against him, he was a captain yes, but even like that. Albert White was a capo, a leader of a gang, a colored king.
Yeah, they all laughed at how ridiculous and almost school-level it was to have the leader of the most dangerous organizations be classified with a color.
But respect was to be due wherever it was earned.
"Subject yourself to Trixie's toybox and you can walk away," The motherfucking king of bullshit(White) said yet again.
Yeah right, let the ABSOLUTE RIDICULOUS MONSTER THAT PRETENDED TO BE A LITTLE GIRL to play with his brain, nothing too hard.
"...So be it," WHY WAS LIKE THAT?!?!? WHY WAS HE A CAPTAIN?!?!? HE JUST WANTED TO COAST IT EASY RETIRE AND GO LIVE SOMEWHERE MORE SAFE AND LESS FILLED WITH BULLSHIT, LIKE KANSAS! "Do not regret it later o king of white."
WHAT WAS EVEN THAT?!?!? O KING OF WHITE? WHAT WAS THAT?!?!?!
"It was nice knowing you Darian," And like that, the King of White leveled his only singular sword at him.
That thing was a menace within the weird space he had been dragged into. But outside? Outside it would be different, he hoped so anyway.
So far one of his swords had been neutralized, he had needed to tweak how his Air Shield worked, but it was so worth it. He had managed to nab it and reduce his means to actually damage his shields.
The stupid weird space had shown him that the swords were dangerous, and the fact that Albert White could use Razor Edge meant that he was that dangerous, still not sure if Albert had used one slot for Razor Edge or he had learned it the hard way.
It was possible for a knight to use other spells like mages, but they needed to trace it manually, and most of the times a knight wasn't that smart or dedicated.
He knew the boss (And father) of the Princess of Hope was capable of using spells outside of his circles. But that was because he had used one of his later circles to learn Mana Manipulation.
This was different.
The Princess of Hope said that problems should be cut into smaller pieces and tackled one at a time. They had taken that to heart and managed to destroy the Yagamine family by cutting their knights, enforcers, and followers into pieces and separating them into manageable enemies.
So what was what he was dealing with?
First, the bigger problem, the Daughter of Evil. Trixie White.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
She was known only as the daughter to Albert White, there was nothing about her in any known circle, the princess of hope didn't really remember much of her, and the princess of hope was a socialite that roamed all the social circles possible for her, from the meet and greet among the organizations to the social gathering of the rich and powerful.
But even like that she didn't remember much about Trixie White. It was one of the theories that Albert White had kept her in a foreign country and just taken her back to New York.
The common theory was that she was a pampered girl who had just arrived to Manhattan, that was obviously proved to be wrong. That brat... that monster was anything but an innocent girl, she was pampered all right.
The space that he had been pulled was also something to be aware, he needed to get that info back home. The White family had a pseudo-theoretical space, and if that was not bad, they also had control over it.
For some forsaken reason the control of the space was given to a child, some may think that was a smart choice, but he knew better. Children should not be given that kind of power, they had no reason to have that much power.
Case in point, this girl was playing with human life as if it were a toy, she didn't see human lives and instead saw toys and humanity as putty to be played with.
And this girl, this monster was quite apt at it, he had seen what she had done to his men, Eddy... Was not someone with a weak mind, he had seen the kid mouth off at everyone, he had gotten into so many troubles because the kid had no survival instinct.
He was pure brawn and no brain, no thoughts in that brain of his, there was a running joke that his mouth would get him killed as he just couldn't keep his mouth shut.
He had fought with the enforcers of most of the other gangs around their territory, and that was why he was delegated to stakeouts instead, to monitor and watch, since he was the worst possible agent to have in any kind of mission that needed delicacy. The fact that he had been here was more of a punishment.
They hadn't expected much risk, and yet...
He had cried, he had wanted to run away, and when that wasn't an option...
He had taken the cowards way out, whatever that girl had done to him was so twisted and gruesome that Eddy had decided to blow his head out.
That by itself was scary.
And yet these people, these white family members wanted him to open his defenses to the girl? To the monster that resided within the White Concord?
Yeah sure, as if that wouldn't end terribly wrong.
The feeling of the magicks... One could know what other magicks users thought when you interacted with their unadulterated magick. Most tempered their mana and left it devoid of your intentions whenever you wanted to keep others from knowing what you thought of them.
It was pointless with attack magic of course, but in area of effects magicks? In sensory type magicks?
In these kind of things it was primordial to do so, and yet, this magicks, the magicks within the so called toyBox, they weren't like that, you could sense what the owner of that place thought of you, and what she wanted to do to you.
And the owner of that thing, it didn't see him as a human, as a living thing, to the owner of that sealed barrier, he was a toy, something to be played with.
And they wanted him to accept that? Fat chance.
If he allowed himself that he would probably be turned into a spy and a danger to the princess of hope, above all, that was something that couldn't be allowed. So he would need to fight.
"...Protect me Princess of Hope," Darian prayed silently as he focused on his connection to the Verdant Bloom.
The fourth circle that he had chosen, most of the members of GreenHaven picked this at some point. As knights it didn't matter at which circle one picked it, it would have the same effect as a first circle as a fourth circle.
Since knights by definition rarely made an actual second circle, not in the same way a Mage would. It was impossible for them after all, unlike mages, a knight would rarely have the means to purify and condense the circle enough to create an actual Second Grade Circle.
But for Darian the fourth circle was special, the first circle he picked (Shoot), was embedded into the palm of his hand, it allowed him to empower the shots of his gun. It was what allowed him to survive in this war-ridden city.
The second circle he picked was for his left hand (Razor Edge), it allowed him to have the means to fight with cold weapons, and while it was on his opposite hand, he could manifest it on the right hand too if needed, even if with less efficiency.
Air Shield was set on his chest, it allowed him to create a chield to protect his heart, usually it was set up to manifest automatically if it detected any threat to his life. That one had been tricky to set up, too sensitive and it would be pointless, too vague and it would never work.
But the fourth circle he picked? It was the emblem of their house, verdant bloom.
It was set up on his heart, it would respond to his wish and act as a way to help and bring life to bloom. It was a special spell designated for their family, it would help them grow new food in case of a famine (And what allowed the GreenHaven family to survive and keep the food banks working).
It could work as a healing spell if one had the materials and mana to keep it working, it was a very versatile spell, and if one made it as a second, third and fourth grade circle, the effects were vastly increased. People said that the princess of hope was currently a Second Grade Circle and was able to actually heal people with it!
She would get the Greenvale family out of this dangerous situation, and that was the reason the GreenHaven family didn't have a problem with going to war in her name.
"Protect me princess..." So the first problem was that Trixie, there was nothing I could do about her, so I should ignore her, the second problem was Albert White, that one I could actually solve. "VERDANT BLOOM!"
Even if he was a Fifth Circle, he was closer to second grade than anything.
And while I was only a fourth circle, my mana density was closer to third grade, whatever he had done to achieve Fifth Circle did not allow him to consolidate his magicks.
Yeah, his circle were probably more complex and more focused in ofense compared to me who followed a more standard path to progress.
So if I trusted in my circle...
"SPREAD YOUR POWER AND BLOOM!" That was my hope for success, so I poured it all, all my mana, all my magick, all my power.
All condensed into the magicks that made my fourth circle.
Even outside that mysterious space, I could feel it still in the air, trying to get into my psyche and corrupt me. It was a shame, but I would not be able to take in the bodies of our fallen comrades.
"... Cease your petty squabble." Albert White stood his ground and his arms moved as if they were a barrier that destroyed everything.
The sword danced so fast that nothing got even close to him, but that was fine. His magick wasn't seeking to attack him, instead it was growing in the ground, spreading the roots all the way to the outside.
They would grow into the outside and send his message back home. In case he didn't manage to escape, that would be his safeguard, a way to send a message back home.
Of course, he would fight to get out too.
"CONVERGE!" So while he let a couple of roots to get to the outside, the ones that remained here? He turned them into sharp spears that bloomed from the ground as spears that attempted to impale the King of White.
Sorry (Not really) for the daughter, but they needed to be put down, they couldn't let someone who would let fester something as dangerous as this.
"Haste," Albert White merely activated his Haste spell again and as if it was a joke, he cut into confetti the root spears, "I tire of this."
And as if it were a play, a joke, he pointed the sword at him, "This will be my last attack," Albert White said as he spat the cigarette he was smoking into the floor.
Last attack? What was this? A cartoon? They had just started fighting!
"Be ready and don't blink." And like that, the man shone with a white glow and disappeared, "So you truly were a normal captain."
What?
"Did...you miss?" He couldn't help but ask, but something was wrong, he wasn't sure what it was, but he felt the need to pour all his magicks into the root that was his failsafe, to ensure the message got delivered to the GreenHaven family.
"No," Albert White said, his voice came from behind, so Darian didn't waste time and turned his body to look at him, "But you are already dead."
"Wha-" And as Darian wanted to answer, he noticed the world started to spin, he could no longer feel his body, and then he felt it, as his head hit the ground, he finally noticed that his body was still standing there.
That... should not be possible, the human body shouldn't work like that, but since he still could feel his body, he didn't waste and hesitate and poured all his mana into the root network. All so his message could be sent home.
The.... Daughter.... of.... Evil... was..... alive.... they.... had..... been..... wrong.... The.... Princess... of... Evil... was.... not.... yellow.... but..... white....
