It's been exactly 34 minutes and 37 seconds since I saw Suraya wandering around while reading random magical records
Farah sat down beside her and did the same thing as well while trying to understand it although she couldn't even read the first paragraph
And Adam just brought those records from the library with his super speed.
Me? I'm already sitting upside down in a chair looking bored.
"Huff, can you guys stop this already? "
"No Dani, this is for your own good anyway" Suraya scolded me gently while still reading those magical records using her spell to read all of them in under seconds
"Yeah! I mean, how long do you want to stay magicless, Dani? Every time you tell yourself you're an NPC, it makes me mad at you" Farah said it in her own worried way
". . . Huff, didn't Suraya literally explain to us that I didn't have a gate? "
Suraya then stopped reading and looked at me. Clearly felt guilty and almost wanted to scold me gently for what I said.
". . . Why did you look at me like that? "
"It should have been me who asked, why did you always like this? "
"Always like what? "
"Always undervalued yourself! Thinking that you're nobody! "
"I'm not undervalued myself. . . I just accept the harsh reality"
"You. . . ! Every time I see you self-deprecating, it hurts me! "
". . . Did you feel like that because you feel guilty?"
". . ."
". . . Suraya, I told you not to blame your-"
"Yes! Of course I will, you will always be by my side when everyone else just looks at me just for my knowledge!"
". . . "
"You're the first friend who instead of wanting my strength, adores my weakness and calls it cute! And I can't even repay you back?! How's that fair to you?! "
She finally broke down in tears while clutching her chest after she said that
The silence in the room lingers too long. Even Farah looks solemn and guilty about it now. She's just good at hiding it.
"Well, if you want to repay me back. . . There's one thing you both can do"
They both instantly looked up at me, Suraya with her teary eyes, and Farah with her soft guilty eyes.

". . . What is it? " Suraya asked me, wiping away her tears and acting strong
"Yeah, just tell me, I'll get it done in a second " Farah looked at me with her stern face
". . . Take care of yourself more. . . And your family"
"No! Be a little bit more selfish, Dani! "
"Yeah, that's literally unfair for your side! " Farah supported Suraya's speech
". . . That's me being selfish. You know how I. . . Never had good times with my parents since"
"Dani. . . " Suraya was about to say something before I continued
"I never take care of myself since then. . . Not until Syed showed up in my life, until you guys showed up in my life. . . "
I just looked at them calmly before sighing
I hope they understand that I wish nothing but their happiness
". . . So please, do that for me. You guys are literally what I have left"
Suraya and Farah look at each other before nodding their head and looking back at me.
"If there is even ONE loophole I can use to create an artificial gate, I will take advantage of it" Suraya declares calmly
"Same, I'mma support Suraya all the way" Farah supporting her sentence
". . . Eh? Isn't that. . . Will disturb this universe power system-"
"We don't care" They both said in unison
". . . Huff, you both insufferable "
They both just laughed at my response before Adam came back with hundreds of magical records he had been carrying
"Hey guys, sorry it took a bit of time"
"Huff. . . Can you not go back, it's getting crampy in here thanks to those useless magical records " I give Adam a suggestion calmly
"No worries bro, there are no more records anyway. This is it"
". . . Just so you know, I'm not helping carry all of this back to that library"
Adam then put it on the floor before he helped Suraya and Farah read it at high speed before he found something interesting
"Aha! Found something! "
"What is it? " Suraya asked him calmly
"Yeah, tell us! " Farah chimes in after
"Well, it's about blessing-"
". . . No" Suraya cut him off solemnly
The room went silent for a while before Adam tried to reason with her
"Hey now, you didn't even let me finish"
"I know what you think, Adam. You think that we could replicate a blessing for Dani, didn't you? "
"Yeah. . . "
"Unfortunately, there's no way we can make any blessing for Dani" She said while gripping those magical records so hard they might scream if they had voices
"Eh?! Why not?! " Farah asks her shockingly surprise
". . . Blessing and magic are two different systems. Blessing can only be granted by Constellations since your birth. It's a raw divine power. There's no way we can make a copy of it.
The room went silent for a second before I decided to get up from my seat to stop this plan and maybe help pick those magical records
". . . Well, that just answers it then. There's no use in finding me a 'cure'. So you guys can stop this now-"
Suraya suddenly dropped those records and hugged me tightly while crying on my shoulder.
I figured she must feel so much regret that she can't cure me even with all her intelligence and knowledge
"I'm so sorry, Dani. . . I'm so sorry. . . What kind of friend am I that can't help someone who's been my second supporter all my life. . . I'm so stupid. . . "
I don't know how to actually comfort someone. Especially a girl. So I just hug her back.
". . . Don't cry now. . . You're going to ruin your image as 'the prodigy mage'. . . "
". . . "
"If you don't stop now, I will ask Farah or Adam to record you so I can blackmail you later. "
She then sniffled before looking at me with her usual Sakura smile, "You're really a jerk, Dani. You never change, do you? "
I just stared back at her face before wiping her tears calmly "Huff. . . Crying really doesn't suit your personality"
She didn't say anything as she just smiled and let me wipe her tears
It's a nice, warm silence between us, before a fucking voice I knew too well chimes in
"Ehem. . . Please don't make me feel more single than I already could" Adam interrupts the emotional moment
"Adam! You-! " Farah instantly turned her head at him like he had just opened a curse box
Suddenly, a huge ice shard was cast below Adam's shadow. Not to kill, but enough to paralyze
Luckily, he managed to move an inch away in time to dodge it thanks to his sharp instinct.
Adam then turned his head slowly to Suraya who was now just staring at him with cold wrath eyes
". . . My apologies Miss Suraya, let me treat you guys to lunch for this" Adam asked for forgiveness while clasping his hands together, terrified by what just happened
". . . Huff. . . Fine, but I make sure your wallet will suffer for the exchange" She said as she softened her eyes, accepting his apology
"Thank you for your mercy, oh prodigy of the century"
"Stop with the sweet talk Adam, or I'll hit your head next with my staff"
". . . I apologize"
She then gave me her usual Sakura smile before releasing the hug gently and wiping imaginary dust off her skirt
I guessed that Suraya must feel embarrassed, hence why she cast that ice spell on Adam. That's the only logical explanation
Although I might never know what she's so embarrassed about
". . . Oh yeah, before we all go, can I ask you something, bestie? " Farah asked her curiously
"What is it? " She asked while smiling at her
"About blessing earlier. . . Well, I'm just curious, but you make it sound like it's too rare. How rare is it anyway?"
"Oh, it's. . . 0.01% chance"
"Eh?????!!!!!" They both screamed in existential crisis before leaning closer to her
"You serious??" Adam asked her, as if he wanted to make sure he heard it right
"Something wrong?" She asked back, curious as to why they acted like this
"If what you said is true. . . Then HOW THE FUCK DID THAT SYED GET A BUNCH OF THEM??!!"
"That. . . Erm. . . I can't truly explain that. . . Maybe because my brother is the chosen one. . . Possibly"
They both then collapsed down to the floor, filled with existential crisis on their head before Suraya healed their mind with her healing spells
Honestly, I also wanted to know how the hell Syed had that much of blessings
. . .
Oh well, at least I got free lunch after this. That's the most important thing right now
