December 21st, 1918

This morning, I was alerted that there was a native to the village who had an infection due to a cut. The other doctors told me that they did not have anything to treat any type of infection. I had very little to treat infections in the first place. All that I knew how to use that was in my medicine was a tube of iodine, but I knew that it had to work. I used some of it on the person, whose name I found out was Boris, and let it sit.

"Sir, isn't it supposed to burn a little?" Boris asked me. I told him that he shouldn't call me sir and that the solution wasn't supposed to burn too much. That was alcohol's job, not iodine. He thanked me and left. I told him that if anything happened in the next few days, he should come to me and I would treat it to the best of my ability.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

That one girl that Maria told me to stay away from came to me once more. She began talking to me a little about the medicine and I responded to the best of my ability. It feels a little weird to have someone tell you that you shouldn't go around someone, then they come around you all the time. I do not want Lana around me, however. I can tell that she is trouble. I took my leave after talking to her for the moment and went to help the boys gather some more firewood. I am not quite sure what to do.
