New Moon 10 : Lady Jasmine

The face of the angel of a woman turned pale briefly; she looked terrified. Masa Ed on the other hand who is looking at her turned his attention to the holster on her waist.

"Can I have your gun?" He requested.

  "???"

At Masa Ed words, the angel of a woman looked stunned. She has trouble understanding how the gun on her waist got to do with the imminent danger Masa Ed read from her expression.

  "Mr Eda, why the gun?"

  "To kill myself of course."

Masa Ed replied her matter-of-factly. His eyes stare at hers, looking at her like is she a fool or something.

"I just can't wait to be captured, right?" He added.

"Hic..." Suddenly the woman lying on him, sounding like she is sobbing, embraced him tighter that her face was truly an inch close to his.

"Mr Eda if you join us, I will help you find the book... the others." She said, looking at Masa Ed's eyes with expectation and fear written on hers.

  "What book?" Masa Ed questioned.

"The book you love reading; the one you say you need to find the others."

"Oh! You mean the Book Of Witness?"

"Yes that book." The woman nodded faintly and smiled. At her reply, Masa Ed who looked really interested paused, thinking:

'If I can get my hands on the other, it should at least compensate for all the troubles I will go through; but the issue is, can she really find them and how long will it take for her to find them even if she can...'

"Mr Eda, we have one of them in our tower," the angel of a woman interrupted his thought with a soft tone, "and I know where two of the last three might be. If you join us, you can have the one in the tower as you are a member, and for the other two, as long as you are strong enough I will tell you where they are kept, you can go and fetch them yourself."

"Hmm.." Masa Ed looking more interested smiled at her. Then pushing her up gently, he rose from the bed, sitting upright with his legs over the side edge of the bed and his face towards her direction and her retainers watching them quietly.

"Are you telling the truth?" He asked her right away.

"Of course yes. There is no reason I will lie to you."

The angel of a woman replied, beaming and looking excited before she reached for the contract papers.

"I have my conditions before I will sign that paper."

Masa Ed let the angel of a woman who is about to sit beside him on the bed know.

"Okay, as long as its something I can do, there is no problem."

She responded, and at the same time, with a glance, she signaled to one of her retainers—the one with a softer face who then turned around and started walking towards the chamber door, leaving.

"My conditions are many. You have to listen attentively." Masa Ed said softly.

"Can you sign first. We can discuss the conditions later." The woman objected. She placed the paper on Masa Ed's lap. "We don't have much time, whatever condition you raise, I will do everything in my power to fulfill them, I am the director of the faction."

Smiling faintly, Masa Ed turned his face to look at her literal angelic androgynous face. And sensing his gaze, the woman glanced back and smiled at him before a look of realization appeared on her face after which she fetched a pen from the left pocket of her plain black vest and passed it to him.

"Here." She said to Masa Ed who has his eyes on the cleavage of her large bust. Then after Masa Ed collected the pen from her, he returned his focus to the content of the contract document, going through it carefully and filling it appropriately.

A couple minutes later, Masa Ed smirked and turned to look at the angel of a woman whose happy and excited gaze trained on him, he caught.

  "What next?" He questioned.

"Its the seal," the angel of a woman replied softly. "Its the most important; then you are our member. No one will dare touch you unwarranted."

She grabbed Masa Ed right hand.

"Which is your dominant hand?" She questioned.

"Both." Masa Ed replied. Then with the help of her gentle guide, he placed the open palm of his right hand held by her on the contract paper.

"Mr Eda close your eyes. You will see a wheel. All you will have to do is imagine the wheel rotate clockwise."

Doing as the angel of a woman instructed, Masa Ed closed his eyes, and after a short few seconds, to his amazement, his dark field of vision lit up as a golden flaming wheel mysteriously appeared like it is suspended midair some distance in front of him.

  "Imagine it turn clockwise."

Hearing the angel of a woman voice, Masa Ed imagined right away, and as a result, the wheel rotated to the right, its smokeless golden flame becoming bigger and *poof* it suddenly vanished.

'That was mystical.' Masa Ed having felt entertained and awed by the experience slowly open his eyes. However in his field of vision is one more figure in addition to the angel of a woman and her retainers, all looking at his face intently like there is something on it they don't want to miss.

  "What?"

Frowning, he questioned; but no one answered him, they all kept looking at him intently including the new addition—a woman dressed in a white saree embellished with green, a white silk face veil and a matching head veil.

  "Your king is a character."

The woman made a strange comment as she glanced at the angel of a woman beside her.

The angel of a woman did not respond, instead her intent and watchful gaze on Masa Ed softened before she smiled.

"Mr Eda how do you feel?" She inquired.

"I am okay. Should I feel somehow?" Masa Ed replied.

"No," the woman said softly while moving closer to him. "There is one last step. I just want to verify if you have energy left for it."

"What step?" Masa Ed questioned. He stood up as the angel of a woman grabbed his hand and pull them up gently.

"Its unlocking your potential." The angel of a woman replied. "Its you becoming a lantern, a spiritual practitioner. Its you entering our world, the spiritual world."

She lead Masa Ed into thinking while she also lead him towards the back of the chamber with the other three following them—her twin retainers and the woman dressed completely in a traditional saree of green ornate print on white.

  "Mr Eda here."

The voice of the angel of a woman brought Masa Ed out of his contemplation. Focusing on his surroundings, he saw a white and golden intricately drawn ring diagram on the floor in front of him, looking like a magic circle.

"The center of the circle is where the ceremony will take place."

The angel of a woman informed him; then turning to look at one of her two retainers—the one with the softer face—she collected a small black box intricately overlaid with a golden pattern from her. Looking excited and expectant, she traced a pattern on its top with her finger glowing golden at the tip, unlocking it. However after she opened its unlocked lid and saw nothing inside it, she frowned, looking stunned and confused.

  "Mistress..."

Her retainer with the softer face, also looking stunned and surprised after having seen the emptiness of the box called her.

"Are you sure someone at the estate didn't come into contact with it?"

The veiled woman behind her questioned.

"My brother." The angel of a woman muttered after a subtle look of realization appearing on her face.

"What now? The old boy is almost here." The veiled woman inquired. Her words in a language Masa Ed strangely understands made the angel of a woman frown more.

"What is going on? You lost your stuff?"

Masa Ed also inquired after he turned to look at the angel of a woman who met his eyes and smiled faintly.

"Its nothing," she replied and then she turned to her retainer with the softer face at her other side.

"White sugar, get me my locket." She instructed her.

"Okay ma'am." White sugar, the retainer with the softer face responded and turning around, she started walking towards the only table in the chamber.

  Meanwhile, the veiled woman in saree and a matching choli took one step closer to Masa Ed, towering above him from behind, and then alerting him, making him turn around and raise his head to peer at her eyes uncovered by her white silk face veil;

  "..."

Masa Ed with his eyes looking at her mystical and entrancing eyes that is like a clear, transparent crystal filled with lemon specks, looked visibly awed and stunned to the core.

"You are fucking beautiful!" He blurted.

"Can you see my eyes?" The woman asked him, causing a questioning look mixed with confusion to appear on his face.

"Of course, its not like your veil cover your entire face." He replied matter-of-factly; but then he look more confused from the sight of the woman freezing up in shock after hearing his words.

Then just after the woman glanced at the angel of a woman watching them at the side with a foolish smile on her angelic face, her eyes widened from a smile before she suddenly pulled Masa Ed into a tight embrace, burying his face in her really large bust, looking like she will stifle him to death, before she let go after few more seconds.

  "Hehehe..." She grinned.

However Masa Ed catching his breath looked at her with a frown, but like she didn't care, she brought her face closer to his after she lowered her head.

  "Call me Mother Jas."

She demanded with authority hidden behind a sweet smile, stunning Masa Ed and making him pause in observation of her engulfing eyes.

  "Call me Mother Jas."

Once again, she demanded, greatly overwhelming Masa Ed who turned to the angel of a woman for help. And smiling, the angel of a woman cleared her throat attracting the attention of the woman in saree who won't let Masa Ed off until he answer her demand.

"Ahem. Lady Jasmine, we can start the ceremony."

"Mmph," The woman, Lady Jasmine snorted. "You are stingy and selfish as always."

Reluctantly, she backed away but not without gently kissing Masa Ed on the forehead, stunning him further and making him pause like an idiot.

"We shall continue, but first, get inside the center of the circle."

She instructed after which she turned to the angel of a woman.
