Arcane Solutions: Shop-Chapter 38

Tony soared back from Africa in his armor, playfully harassed two fighter jets, rescued a pilot, and landed safely in his garage. This time he didn't demolish anything, and with JARVIS's assistance, quickly shed the suit.

"Hey, you've returned? I have some new concepts—want to examine them?" George heard the commotion and passed directly through the wall.

"What the hell?! What did you do to my wall?!" Tony stared in shock at the wall outside his laboratory.

"It's merely a portal. Unless you speak the correct password, it remains a wall. Want to visit? And help me connect JARVIS while you're at it!" George looked at Tony eagerly.

Tony rubbed his temples. It had been an exhausting night—flying to Africa, engaging in combat, and toying with fighter jets. He was genuinely fatigued.

"Alright, alright. Bogg? Bring me some coffee." Tony said uncertainly. He'd witnessed Gemini summon Coby this way, but wasn't certain if Bogg could accomplish the same.

Several seconds later, a tray materialized before Tony with aromatic black coffee, accompanying milk and sugar, and even a plate of small cookies.

Tony lifted the coffee and approached the wall. "So what's your password?"

"Guess who I am," George said in a flat tone.

"I know you're George Weasley, so what's the password?" Tony said casually, then suddenly realized. "Guess who I am?"

The wall before him immediately rippled. George laughed heartily and gave him a gentle push. Tony felt like he was passing through a water curtain as he entered a new chamber.

This room seemed modeled after his laboratory—bookshelves along the walls, a large worktable, and several chairs. There wasn't much else, and it didn't resemble a chamber touched by magic.

"I feared excessive magical items would create overpowering magnetic fields and affect JARVIS, so I stored most magical tools. I'm researching runes that isolate magical magnetic fields. Once I decipher it, perhaps wizard streets can receive internet too!" George said excitedly. "So how do we connect JARVIS?"

Tony surveyed the room thoughtfully. "Simple. Just run cables over here and install a speaker in the corner."

George looked at Tony with a beaming smile, extracting a small notebook. "And then?"

Tony sipped his coffee and casually walked toward the exit. "Then that's it. That's all there is to it."

With those words, Tony passed through the wall and vanished from George's workshop.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

  ???

It's really that simple?! George froze in place. He surveyed his workshop devoid of magical fluctuations. If he'd known it was this straightforward—one rune could handle it—why had he transformed his workshop into this state?

Tony, having successfully pranked George, secretly gave himself a victory gesture, sipped his coffee, proceeded to the dining room for breakfast Bogg had prepared, then returned to his chamber and collapsed into bed. Before sleeping, he was still contemplating visiting Gemini's shop to assess the situation. George genuinely seemed like someone with a story, and he needed to ask Ethan why he'd called last night—he'd been too occupied fighting to respond.

At this moment, Gemini sat on the balcony yawning as she flipped through a book. Treating that person in the middle of the night had indeed consumed considerable energy. She'd slept until nearly noon but still felt drowsy. She truly needed to stay up less in the future, Gemini thought, listlessly turning another page with unfocused eyes.

  Ring ring ring...

Gemini's phone rang. She answered casually, and Ethan's voice transmitted: "Gemini, a client paid one hundred thousand and wants to meet personally."

"Ten minutes. Bring him up." Gemini said, patting her cheeks to awaken herself. She went to the washroom, freshened up, drank a bottle of Pepperup Potion to appear energetic, then returned to the reception chamber.

After Coby had arranged tea and refreshments, Ethan brought the visitor to the reception chamber.

Gemini studied the man before her—black leather jacket, black skin, and a black bald head. He resembled a walking shadow. In darkness, you'd never notice him without careful observation.

"What do you want?" Gemini inquired.

"You're the shop proprietor?" Fury assessed Gemini, realizing she appeared even younger in person than in the video. Fury became more cautious. After all, such a young child possessed these abilities—where had she learned them? What lay behind her? There must be people more powerful than her. Were these individuals hidden from the world, or had they already infiltrated various nations?

Gemini immediately grew impatient. "What exactly do you want? If you don't trust this establishment, you can depart."

Fury calmly seated himself across from Gemini. "No, I believe. I want you to help me determine if my eye can be healed."

Gemini observed his eye-patched eye. "Remove it so I can examine."

Fury removed the eyepatch, revealing a dead eyeball with three vicious scars across it—disgusting and eerie.

"Don't move." Gemini said, directing her wand at Fury's eye. Several beams of light appeared, glaring red and black spreading outward.

After observing for a while, Gemini put away her wand and looked at Fury with regret. "This eyeball is ruined—can't be saved. But if you still want to see, you'll have to replace it."

Hearing the beginning, Fury didn't consider it significant, but when he heard about replacement, his spirits lifted.

"If I replace the eyeball, will it see like a normal eye?" Fury asked.

Gemini stood up, rummaged around the fireplace, and extracted a flyer. "Of course. Normal eyes are the cheapest option, but you can also customize."

Gemini pressed the shop name and address on the flyer. The address and shop name gradually faded, then she handed the paper to Fury. "Choose for yourself."

Fury accepted the flyer. It displayed various types of eyeballs, almost all constantly rotating. Touching any one with his finger would make its functions and specifications appear.

There were X-ray vision ones, ones with magical enhancements, indestructible ones, and even one that changed color based on mood? Fury couldn't comprehend why anyone would desire such an... indescribable feature.

"Are there any that can see through people's hearts?" Fury put down the flyer and asked.

"Definitely not—that's illegal. But there's one that can detect whether someone has hostile intentions toward you and verify if what they're saying is true or false." Gemini rolled her eyes.

"It can be customized, correct? I want X-ray vision, plus those two functions you mentioned." Hearing the word "illegal," Fury's heart stirred, but he temporarily ignored it and stated his requirements.
