Here I thought peeing out in public with no cloth on was the worst thing that could’ve happened to me this week.

  ‘Alex’ Talk about life being funny with that name. Decided that he would dress me up as a devil in order to sell the idea for the show.

  We’ve been outside for 2 hours, no one has paid us anything, and I refuse to do any of his stupid tricks.

  “Come on Fenrir! Talk! Show the crowd!” It was a total of 5 people watching us, two being a really old couple, 2 kids, and Demarcus “Fuck you Demarcus.” He threw a nut at me “Do a flip!” he said as the nut hit my face. I hate to say it, but that fucking squirrel has some good comedic timing.

  Oh yeah, apparently I get experience from small tasks, even when I get pets I get a small boost. I wonder if it works the same way for Alex, or maybe it’s just a me thing?

  “I will not perform any of these stupid tricks for you.” I looked at Alex as he started to look around, his worried smile covering his face as he whispered to me “Pleaseee, WE NEED THE MONEY” I layed down “We? You.”

  WAIT WHY DO I HAVE AN ABILITY AS A PUPPY? What God reincarnated me and decided that giving a puppy magic abilities was the right call?!

  Alex approached me and patted my head, and scratched the back of my ears while whispering “Fenrir please! I’ll give you head pats! And I’ll get some chicken for you with the money we get.” Son of a bitch knows how to reel me in. “Ok” I respond as I stand up and spin around following my tail, the mesmerizing movement of it fascinating me, I get it now, I get why dogs do it, it’s like the tail its his it’s own being, why are you there, leave me, I will catch you and destroy you!!

  I stop spinning and see Alex extending his arms as he showcases my incredible abilities “Only 2 copper! There’s more in store where that came from!” He moves around the crowd and opens a small satchel waiting for the copper to be deposited inside, Demarcus hits him with a nut.

  Honestly, it was hilarious, I tried to laugh but couldn’t, instead the movement of my jaw caused me to sneeze

  “Yes” My mouth suddenly feels colder and I can feel the wind around my snout storing, tickling my nose, I sneeze again and I let out a wave of cold which causes the dewing in the grass to freeze, the trunk I stand on completely hardens as spikes of ice break through, with the water condensing around me, the light reflecting off the ice “woah” everyone in the crowd responded as the ice and snow started to slowly clear.

  Alex stood there looking back, his eyes wide open, jaw unhinged, mucus running from his nose down his face, he froze as he held the satchel open and stared at me. I watched as everyone left and thanked us for the show.

  They all deposited 2 coins inside of Alex’s satchel, Demarcus threw another nut to him.

  I got off the trunk and walked towards Alex “Are you ok?” I asked as he snapped out of his trance “What was that?!” He said as he lifted me up.

  “I don’t know, I’m new to being a puppy, honestly just as surprised. Can you scratch my nose by any chance and my back?” I asked him politely, I really needed that scratch.

  “Sure.” He responds as he starts to slowly scratch my nose, he then moves his hand to my back and starts to scratch it. I could get used to this.

  Wait, no, I hate it!

  “So can you do more of those tricks?” I start to lick my paws, I’m so dirty right now.

  “I think so, but right now, I can’t, it takes mana and I’m all out.” I keep cleaning my paws, I start to notice the color of my furr, it’s a nice yellowish brown, I would’ve loved to pet me when I was a human.

  “MANA?! You have Mana!?” His grim smile coming back, that shine in his eyes returning, I knew where this was going.

  “Wait, how do you know what Mana is?” His question intrigued me “Also, might want to put me down, I need to pee.” I tell him as my tail starts to wag.

  “Oh, right.” He brings me to the ground slowly and starts to walk towards that thing we call home “Well, all the known heroes in this realm use Mana, they though us about it in adventuring school.” I lift my leg up and let it spray. “Adventuring school?” I throw some dirt over that bitch, sign, seal, deliver.

  “You went to adventuring school?” I tried to catch up as fast as I could, my short little legs stumping one after the other.

  “You are so adorable.” Alex says as he looks down to me “I will murder you.” I respond as I start to run around him, my body betrays me once more.

  “Yes, I went to adventuring school, but I couldn’t finish, I failed all my classes, and then my parents died from an orc attack, so couldn’t continue going, and now I’m here, picking up shit, dressing up my dog, who apparently has more mana than I do.” He opens the door for me and we both go inside of the house, how fucking sad, he lost his family, had bad grades, and had to settle for a shitty day to day job, I would’ve killed myself if I was in that position… Fuck you, god.

  “Well, we got some coins from that whole show.” I sat next to the small fireplace “How much?” I lay and enjoy the warmth hitting my fur, as Alex sits and puts the coins down “8 copper, and two nuts, which I don’t know why that squirrel kept throwing them at me, but hey, food is food.” I let out a small pant as he says that “Oh yeah, that’s Demarcus, I hate him.” I get closer to Alex and sit next to him “Don’t think I like you, I just like the heat you give off.” He laughed as I lay on his lap “Well, I got a proposition for you.” He says as he gathers the coin from the ground “Speak.” I respond as I close my eyes slightly “Well, it looks like you have magic, and in this world magic will get you far. How about you help me do some missions, and we get out of this shithole?” He says as he starts to scratch my back, he’s trying to bribe me. I see “What do I get out of this?” He puts me down near the fire and stands up “Well, for starters you get food everyday, and a place to stay “Continue…” I stand up and switch my laying position “and perhaps you can help me honor my father by becoming a hero.”

  I sit down and looked at Alex for a few seconds as he grabbed a piece of bread “So, you get famous off of my back?”

  Alex fell off the chair as I responded and he dropped the bread, I rushed to grab the bread and lick his face.

  He struggled to get up as he grabbed the side of the chair. “Well, not quite I'll have gear and fight, I'll make food and carry you around.” I put my paw on his mouth. “You had me at food.”
