Songs granddaughter

As this stunning figure entered, the dim emergency room seemed to brighten instantly. The male doctors couldn't help but have their eyes light up, their gazes involuntarily drawn to her.

The woman's presence was simply too striking—tall, with flawless features, skin like fine jade, and a pair of captivating peach-blossom eyes that seemed to enchant at a glance. Her curvaceous figure, accentuated by a body-hugging skirt and black stockings, was enough to stir anyone's imagination.

Yet, despite her allure, there was an undeniable air of authority about her that quelled any inappropriate thoughts. Even Lin Yu was taken aback. How could a woman in her twenties exude such seasoned dominance, as though she had long been accustomed to commanding respect?

The beautiful woman frowned deeply as she stepped inside, her expression darkening further when she saw the foreigner. She turned to the foreigner's assistant and said, "Emily, I've already arranged for specialists in Beijing. As soon as we land, someone will attend to Mr. Bain."

  "Good, let's go now!"

Emily nodded hastily, pushing Bain's wheelchair toward the exit while casting a cold glance at the gathered doctors. "A bunch of quacks! I'll be filing a complaint with the embassy. You can all start packing!"

Though the doctors were furious, none dared to speak up. They had genuinely tried their best to treat Bain, but nothing had worked.

"If you take Mr. Bain away now, you're sending him to his death."

As Emily and the beautiful woman prepared to leave with Bain, Lin Yu couldn't help but speak up.

His words were blunt, but truthful. To Emily, however, they sounded like a curse. She stopped in her tracks and snapped at Lin Yu, "What's your name? Which department are you from? Believe me, one phone call is all it’ll take to have you thrown out of here!"

"I don’t believe you," Lin Yu replied indifferently. "I'm not even a doctor at this hospital."

"You—! Then I'll have the police arrest you!" Emily gritted her teeth, infuriated by his attitude.

"Emily, ignore him. Let's go," the beautiful woman said, shooting Lin Yu a glare before urging Emily to hurry.

"The fastest flight from Qinghai to Beijing takes over two hours. Factoring in transit and pickup time, it’ll be at least four hours. Let me be frank—Mr. Bain won’t last three." Lin Yu sighed. Why did people always refuse to listen?

"Miss Xue, this young doctor is exceptionally skilled in traditional Chinese medicine. What he says is true—given Mr. Bain’s current condition, it’s uncertain whether he’ll even make it to Beijing. Why not let him examine Mr. Bain?"

Li Haoming stepped forward to mediate, though he was grasping at straws. While Lin Yu had successfully treated the little girl’s mysterious illness before, Bain’s symptoms were entirely different. Li couldn’t help but feel nervous.

Hearing Li Haoming mention "traditional Chinese medicine," the beautiful woman scoffed and gave Lin Yu a disdainful look. "TCM? No matter how good he is, could he possibly compare to my grandfather?"

"Well, of course not. Elder Song’s medical skills are unparalleled, but..." Li Haoming hesitated, suddenly realizing his own contradiction. If Lin Yu’s skills were inferior to Elder Song’s, what was the point of having him treat Bain?

"You’re... Elder Song’s granddaughter?" Lin Yu asked in surprise, deducing from their conversation that she must be the "difficult" granddaughter Elder Song had mentioned.

"What’s it to you who I am?" Xue Qin shot Lin Yu an icy glare, her disgust evident.

She had an innate aversion to men, especially arrogant, presumptuous ones.

Lin Yu couldn’t help but smile wryly. Elder Song hadn’t been exaggerating—his granddaughter really did have issues. Her temper was terrible. She needed treatment!

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

"Wait—I remember now! You’re... you’re Dr. He! The miracle-working Dr. He!"

An elderly TCM doctor with graying hair suddenly exclaimed after studying Lin Yu closely. His expression shifted to one of awe as he hurried over. "It really is you! What an honor!"

He clasped Lin Yu’s hands in his, his voice trembling with reverence. "Young Master He, I’ve watched your medical duel with Elder Song at least ten times. If I’m not mistaken, the acupuncture technique you used on that patient with upper-heat and lower-cold syndrome was the long-lost *Six Harmonies Divine Needles*, wasn’t it?"

Hearing the old doctor mention the technique, Lin Yu felt a surge of gratification. At least some elder physicians in the TCM world still had discerning eyes. "You’re absolutely right, venerable elder. It was indeed the *Six Harmonies Divine Needles*."

"To witness this technique in my lifetime and to meet you in person... I can die without regrets now!" The old doctor’s hands shook as he spoke, tears welling in his eyes.

He was the top TCM physician at Qinghai People’s Hospital, renowned in the field—though not as illustrious as Elder Song, his skills ranked among the top three in Qinghai. With over forty years of practice and countless accolades, he had dedicated his life to TCM. Seeing a young prodigy like Lin Yu carrying the torch filled him with immense pride, bringing him to tears.

The younger TCM doctors in the room were equally awestruck. So this was the legendary Dr. He who had dueled Elder Song! Their eyes brimmed with admiration.

The Western medicine doctors, however, looked utterly lost.

TCM and Western medicine, though both branches of healing, existed in almost entirely separate circles. While Lin Yu’s name might ring like thunder in TCM circles, it was virtually unknown among Western practitioners.

Li Haoming’s eyes widened in realization before lighting up with excitement. He had heard about Elder Song’s medical duel but had assumed the victor had merely gotten lucky. Now, discovering it was Lin Yu, his heart swelled with pride. His instincts had been right—this young man was no ordinary talent!

Xue Qin and Emily exchanged baffled glances at the doctors’ fervor. Xue Qin, in particular, turned frosty upon hearing that Lin Yu had defeated her grandfather. "He beat my grandfather? Impossible!"

"Miss Xue, it’s true. There’s even footage of the duel. Elder Song and Dr. He were neck-and-neck, but in the end, Dr. He came out slightly ahead," Li Haoming said with a smile, now feeling much more confident. He silently congratulated himself for recognizing Lin Yu’s talent—had he not invited him, Qinghai People’s Hospital’s reputation might have been ruined.

"Miss Xue, I have the video right here!" One of the TCM doctors began searching his phone.

Lin Yu waved him off with a laugh. "Everyone’s exaggerating. To be honest, Elder Song went easy on me that day. Others might not have noticed, but I knew."

Kind by nature, Lin Yu would rather humble himself than let others lose face. Seeing Xue Qin’s rising anger, he stepped in to defend Elder Song’s reputation in the TCM community.

"Even so, it proves Dr. He’s extraordinary. Most people wouldn’t even qualify to duel Elder Song," Li Haoming declared. "Miss Xue, since we’re out of options, why not let Dr. He give it a try?"

Though Xue Qin didn’t trust Lin Yu, she trusted Li Haoming. If he said Bain might not survive the trip to Beijing, it was likely true. Moreover, she couldn’t be sure the doctors in Beijing could cure Bain either.

If Qinghai’s best internist and Jiangnan’s top TCM physician had failed, Beijing’s experts might not fare better.

Her urgency stemmed from Bain’s importance to her—he had granted her the exclusive distribution rights for Versace in the entire Jiangnan region. Yet before the contract could be signed, he had suddenly fallen ill.

After a moment’s hesitation, Xue Qin finally gritted her teeth and nodded. "Fine. You can try. But if you fail, I’ll sue you until you’re behind bars!"

Lin Yu sighed inwardly. This woman was truly unreasonable. Here he was, offering to help, and she was threatening him with legal action.

"Miss Xue, you’re really letting this back-alley doctor treat Mr. Bain?" Emily gasped. "He just admitted he’s not even a doctor here!"

"Emily, we have no other choice. Let’s give him a shot—maybe there’s hope," Xue Qin said helplessly, though she was really just trying to console herself.

Ever since her grandfather had told her even he couldn’t cure Bain, she had known Bain was as good as dead. And with him would go her distribution deal.

"I refuse to entrust Mr. Bain’s life to some quack!" Emily said firmly.

Li Haoming frowned. Without the assistant’s cooperation, this would be difficult.

"Miss Emily, you’ve been suffering from anxiety, dizziness, weakness in your limbs, heart palpitations, and occasional absent-mindedness lately, haven’t you?"

Lin Yu suddenly addressed Emily with a knowing smile.

"How did you know?!" Emily blurted out, startled. She had been experiencing these symptoms for a while but hadn’t mentioned them to anyone, dismissing them as stress-related.

"You’re ill," Lin Yu said. "Now do you believe I’m a doctor?"

"These symptoms are common among young people. You’re just guessing!" Emily retorted quickly. Many of her colleagues had similar issues.

"You’re right—they are common. But most people only experience one or two. Haven’t you noticed you have *all* of them?" Lin Yu said leisurely.

Emily’s face paled. It was true—while others might have one or two symptoms, hers were all-encompassing.

"Then tell me, what’s wrong with me?"

"I’ve given it an elegant name: *Lack-of-Boyfriend Syndrome*," Lin Yu said with a grin.
