General Winston had gone ahead and informed the prime minister about the plan. A meeting for the leaders of the NADUR and Eurasia was already on the way.
From 2076 to current day, there have been three prime ministers.
These are Jean Linkston (2075-2079), Frederick Johnson (2080-2084), and the current Anna Linkston (2085-present day)
The war had caused great political turmoil in the NADUR government.
Anna Linkston was Former Prime Minister Jean Linkston's daughter.
In the war, the people could not find a suitable candidate.
Thus, even with her youthness, Anna Linkston was elected.
Today was a testament to prove if she really is worthy of the people's faith.
The meeting place : Sea Fortress Turquoise
"Careful now! Lower!", signaled the marshaller.
The Prime Minister's escort had landed on the massive ship atleast a quarter kilometer wide in each direction.
This location had been chosen due to its even distance from Eurasia and from the NADUR
Up in the air, it looks as if part of a city had broken off the mainland.
"This way Ma'am."
Her escorts bought her to a vehicle.
As the man stepped on the pedal, Anna looked around, seeing the ocean and the massive amount of crew.
"What could possibly require a battleship this size? Is it worth making something like this?", she thought.
The vehicle breaked to a halt, tires softly stopping on the paved road.
The door to her seat opened and she stepped down in her formal attire.
Upons sight, the guards saluted and opened the door to the meeting room.
She sat down on a chair, face to face with the Eurasian premier.
"Greetings Prime Minister."
"Greetings Premier.", she replied.
This was her first major political move, so she had to make it count.
"Premier Orlov, our nation offers a joint-offensive on the former base of Havana, Cuba."
"What is it gain from that base?", he asked.
The Prime Minister slid a tablet with research documents.
"We have reason to believe that the base contains valuable information for this war."
Stolen novel; please report.
His eyebrow raised, interested but with suspicion.
"What forces do you have to offer, Prime Minister?"
"Well, we can send two of our space battleships."
She noticed his hand on his chin, he was considering it.
"I'm sorry, I just do not see the need of our support in your mission."
She sucked her teeth in disappointment.
"Sir, our research is in the document I just showed you, what proof do you need?"
"My problem, Prime Minister, is that you should be able to take it on your own."
She took a deep breath to calm herself down.
"I get that, but the thing is we are too overextended to commit more forces."
He put his hand on the desk.
"Well, Prime Minister, it is not different for us. We are also in need of more forces."
She got up her chair abruptly.
"Can't you spare one battleship? This battle could decide the outcome of this war!"
He released a heavy sigh.
"I'm so sorry, this is not working out for us."
She processed the situation and saw her mistake.
So she sat down and exhaled deeply.
"I will call a 15 minute reccess to reevaluate my options."
His hands on the table as he tried to calm himself down.
"You have 10 minutes to think of something, Prime Minister."
She walked out and the doors were opened.
Entering her private room, she was pacing back and forth, trying to remember details.
She sat down on the chair, elbows on the desk with her hands cradling her forehead.
Papers began flying left and right while she tried to make a promising argument.
"Madam Prime Minister, do you need help?"
She was startled since she thought she had entered the room alone.
And indeed she did enter the room alone, only that her assistant had gotten there first.
"You shocked me there! And yes, I am alright."
But even from miles away, you could clearly tell that she was not alright.
"If I lose this, what are the people gonna think of me, Alice?"
She walked to her side and tapped her shoulders.
"Madam, I request you calm down so that you can evaluate this properly."
She took a deep breath to relax herself.
"You know, you're right Alice. Thank you."
10 minutes had passed and the Premier was getting impatient.
"Where is the Prime Minister?"
The doors opened as Anna walked in. Calm. Composed.
She sat down on the same chair as earlier yet it felt more comfortable.
The tablet containing research documents was once again passed to the Premier.
"We have evidence proving that the retrieval of data from the Arnhem data center had caused a failsafe timer - miss it and we don't have a second chance."
The man looked at his data carrefully, analyzing and calculating.
"How much are you betting on this Prime Minister?"
She smiled slightly.
"There's no better oppurtunity, Premier."
His head nodded in approval.
"One space battleship. We support, you attack and take the data, understood?"
Her face brightened more than the ceiling lights could ever wish to be.
"Understood, we can do that well, Premier."
He stood up, offered his hand.
"Looks like your record will be beautiful, Prime Minister."
They shook hands, marking Anna's first major diplomatic victory.
Moments later, the message arrived to General Winston, General Makarov and their subordinates.
"Well captains, looks like the Prime Minister succeded."
"Yes, we heard."
He chuckled softly.
"Looks like you got your wishes to come true."
Abruplty, the door opened.
"You two! You're ruining my plans!"
It was General Makarov, posture aggresive, blood boiling.
"You are not going anywhere young lady!", referring to Yelena.
"I'm not your property! If it's decided then it's decided!"
General Winston showed him his tablet.
"She's right, General Makarov, deal's over."
Makarov pointed at him with his hand.
"You! You're the perpetrator of all of this!"
Winston was amused.
"General Makarov, I'm only following the orders of my superiors. I suppose you also must, am I right?"
He was furious, but powerless.
"You better watch your backs when this is all over!"
He left the room, never to be seen again.
Well, captains. I suppose we oughto pack up and head on to Cuba."
They looked at each other for a moment.
"Of course, General."
You see, research had let to one singular place in Cuba, the Havana Military Base.
The place where it all began for the NADUR.
Looks like even the two hottest rivals, Eurasia and the NADUR can fight together.
All they ned is a common enemy.
