There was nothing that they could do against it unless, gaining tremendous amounts of strength in that short time span, at least enough to be able to withstand Miranda’s tremendous magic energy. But, how does this spell and even the previous one work? The answer for this is quite complicated as only one individual in this entire world knew how to use these family of spells and of course, said individual was the one that created them. In fact, it’s the same woman who created the Extinction element and spells. To be able to use the “Mirror” spells she needs to contaminate her target with her magic energy. When one says contaminate, it actually means that the target needs to be in contact with her magic energy and then with enough magic control, she can inflict upon those poor souls an end that is quite crude and cruel. The only way to survive such cruel fate is to simply have enough magic energy to overcome her magic and the way to do so is to simply be as strong as her or stronger. Hmm, no, it’s more correct to describe that the target needs to be stronger than the current magic in contact with him and not herself. What makes this spell truly terrifying is the fact that only a little bit of magic is needed to cause tremendous amounts of damage and if the disparity of strength between them is that enormous then, said small quantity can end the life of the target with ease. On the other scenarios said small quantity can for example shatter a limb such as an arm. However, there is no need to contaminate the entire arm, let’s say that if the upper arm is the one in contact with her magic, once it turns to glass and then shattered, the lower arm will simply fall down to the ground as what was connected to it and consequently holding it, it no longer exists. Ah indeed, the horrors that such a spell can accomplish, the torture, the gruesome scenes, all of them that one does not wish for a normal human to suffer but in this case, it’s something that I wish for all of these Defects to suffer.
Mirror Erosion as the name suggests, it’s some sort of erosion that happens to the targets. This spell is much weaker than the previous one but that’s only if used in an instant. This spell can slowly erode the target without even noticing it, just in the same way water erodes a stone but, in this case, it slowly contaminates the entire target while doing so and once the deed is done, he then can be shattered into millions of fragments. Just a tiny quantity of magic is enough to contaminate as the disparity between her and the Shadows is far too big, allowing for her to achieve this. This also explains why she was dancing around as while doing so, not only was she extinguishing the spells that were being unleashed into her, she was also slowly releasing her magic energy into the universe and consequently, anything in the radius of 10 meters was infected by it. Thanks to this, there’s no need for her to worry about the environment as with enough magic control, she can somewhat control to her own desire what becomes infected and whatnot.
Shattering Mirror has roughly the same principles and inner workings but in its case, it’s far more deadly than the previous one. Behind it are the same principles, contaminate the target with enough magic and then “crack”, they have been shattered into several shards if not thousands. Compared to the previous spell, this one happens in an instant not only that, she cannot use it to slowly infect the targets in the case they are strong or if something prevents them from suffering such cruel fate. No, instead, she needs to use more magic energy and that usage is far greater than before meaning that, if someone with low levels of magic energy, even if they are masters in the realm of magic, they are physically unable to use this spell. The magic usage is that high. But, with a gigantic amount of magic usage comes tremendous amounts of power as this spell is a phenomenon that can shatter everything and anything that is within the grasp of the user. There is no body that can withstand such shattering, no magical body that cannot be cracked into several pieces, no barrier that can be transformed into millions of fragments, no spell that cannot be turned into shards, nothing in this world can survive the cruelty of this spell. Unless, the difference between strength is that great.
But in her hands, does anyone think it will be the case?

Ah, another sin against the world. Another shout from this despicable being, one that yet again shocks the entire area from how powerful and ear rupture it is. The Defect Lord seems to have recovered and with it, a tremendous amount of rage consumes his reason if he even had one in the beginning that is. Hatred then follows as this pesky flower seems to have more strength than what he originally thought or in other terms as this despicable being is far too stupid to comprehend that, he underestimated her severely even after understanding that her level should be in the S- rank. He shouts at his fellow subordinates or more so warns them to not interfere as he has set his chaotic eyes on the prey, one that he will do everything to devour it but more so to get revenge for what she did to him. Indeed, it was painful, that odd magic, one that surrounds the blade of that weapon, it was devouring his body with such ferocity that makes his own will to devour seem small. His core was frantically running away from it while at the same time doing its best to recover from the damage that was slowly being done to himself. Then out of nowhere, said magic disappeared into nothing, leaving behind only the damage that it did. He does not understand what this magic is, it seems to be similar to the magic he uses and yet, extremely different at the same time. But that simple fact has made him see her differently, rather than only being a small fry she now is someone that only him can and will devour. He needs to have a taste of that magic… Ha, ignorant fool. The moment he tries to devour “that magic” is the moment it will extinguish his very own life.
Nothing can devour Extinction and survive.
Bam! Woosh!
Another Shadow Dash from him but this time around, he leaped upwards towards the air but also towards her direction. He has a plan in mind, one that is simple, a representation of his thinking but one that will trouble her a lot. He’s in the S rank realm, a little bit above average but not in the S+ rank. This means that, while he’s a complete and utterly buffoon, his strength is real and one that can and will destroy an entire city by himself. What he’s about to do is unleash said destruction into the girl’s direction, destroying anything that is in that area. Yes, they don’t care for each other, we have seen that already and while the Defect Lord might have higher realms of intelligence, that does not mean his empathy is increased. He cares not for the Shadows that are under his rule and why would he? Why would he care for such sins of the world? None should and that includes themselves. Ah, I shouldn’t go into a tangent on how despicable they are and how much they deserve the very worst that both the world and fate can inflict upon them. He raises his chaotic right arm upwards and then backwards as much as he can. He then aims towards where the girl is, one that seems unaware of his presence as she’s currently fighting against several Shadows, elegantly dancing around their attacks and precisely defeating every single one of them with ease. The arm he raised is holding tightly his chaotic spear, readying himself to throw it at his prey but before doing so, he first swallows it with an abyss like magic, Black Magic. The spear gains an ominous colour to it while at the same time an aura, one that has the same principles as the user or in other words, a chaotic aura that is ever changing thanks to the tremendous amount of magic energy on it. Mere moments later, just as he starts to be affected by gravity and its inner workings, he unleashes his hell upon those that are beneath him. In his very own words-

“Shadow Spear!”

With every ounce of strength he has on his chaotic arm and with his “spell” ready to be unleashed, he throws the Shadow Spear towards the girl. There is a loud “bam” right the moment he throws it. The force behind it was so great that it seemed to blast the air around it because of it but in reality, it’s a simple fact that can be explained. Right from the beginning the speed at which the Shadow Spear travels is slightly greater than the speed of sound and that loud “bam” is nothing more than the spear breaking the sound barrier. Indeed, it happened right the moment he unleashed such hell and because of it, it reached the target in a blink of an eye. While it did so, even though the sound was for less than a second, the loud, acute and ear rupture “swish” sound vibrated through the entirety of this area, shaking even the ground thanks to the sheer force of said vibrations. This sound should be enough to indicate the horrifying strength of the Shadow Spear but in the improbable case that it might be missed, the impact that happens afterwards should forcefully make anyone that witness it, accept such truth and undeniable fact after all, this spell is in the realm of the upper S rank. There was a loud and powerful “blast” sound the moment the Shadow Spear hit the girl.
Or that was supposed to be the case. However, reality is often misleading to those that are ignorant of the full picture.
It was an elegant movement on her part, one where she hit the Shadow Spear with the tip of the blade of the main Scythe. It was also an extremely precise hit on her part however, it was actually slower than the speed at which the Shadow Spear travelled. It seems that, she knew exactly where it would hit before he even unleashed such atrocity to the universe, allowing for her to execute such flawless action with such precision. While the movement of hers was slower than the spear, it still was quite fast to the point that anyone whose strength is below A+ rank, only a blur would be visible for their eyes and to those far beneath such rank, they would literally only see the aftermath. Not only that, the strength behind her elegant “stab” was actually stronger than the force behind the Shadow Spear however, when two immense forces meet each other, only one outcome can be expected.
Blast!
Indeed, something akin to a falling meteorite hitting the ground after being partially cremated by earth atmosphere, and even though the size of such rock has been reduced drastically, it still has enough size to cause massive destruction on whatever area it happens to hit. A powerful “explosion” happens the very instance when the moving blade meets the stopping blade and, in this scenario, the stopping blade is that much stronger than the moving blade, allowing for this scene to be exposed to the universe. This explosion quickly lifts up a massive dust cloud all because of the shock wave that follows it, it was more than strong enough to crumble the ground where the girl stands, where the Defects walk on top and of course, the ground whose defence is at the A- rank. A powerful rank capable of withstanding 90 % of the attacks and spells out there and yet in this case, it didn’t stand a single chance against such an oppressive force. The shiny, perfect and of course well-crafted stone tiles were shattered in an instant after the initial impact, all thanks to the sheer vibrations of it; however, once the shockwave was “created” then, everything on its path suffered from its wrath. The ground, no exceptions at all, it was crumbled into small pieces, shattered in some areas as the shockwave slowly lost power as it travels through the space and close to the end, it still had enough force the destabilize anything on its path or in other words, enough force to aggressively move the stone tiles out of place for example. Any vegetation that happens to be too unfortunate enough to be near the “explosion”, they were destroyed in the process. The Shadows that were near the girl also suffered the same fate as the shock wave does not discriminate against no one, inflicting the same amount of pain, destruction and cruelty to those that are on its path. But the Shadows that were far enough from the centre of the destruction, rather than being decimated into nothing, instead they are forcefully sent backwards a few good meters as the shockwave has more than enough strength to force its will upon those that are on its path. An area that should round the 8000 square meters was not big enough to come unscathed after getting hit by such a devastating shockwave. The beauty that could be seen in this area, the vast majority suffered from this impact in a way or another, while everything that was and is close to the centre of the destruction, it gets hit the harvests, drastically changing the scenery of it all thanks to how much they suffered but, everything else still suffer to some degree. Dust was lifted up everywhere around here, the vegetation forcefully and violently danced with the shockwave and of course, the trees followed the same choreography although not to the same extreme thanks to the massive difference in size.

Ah, what an imbecile that can only act upon his desires. Fret not, he’s mere moments from suffering a fate that such Defect of the world should suffer. Rather than using his senses to get a better understanding of the situation instead, he allowed for his “accomplishment” to get well above his feeble mind.
