Kiana- But I don’t know what to tell you, I just feel the need to do something, you know? I’m not that smart or anything like that but, I do have some strength behind my small hands and I feel I can do something to make this a better place. I have the power to make this a safe place, so I really can’t stay still because of it. Having this power yet not doing anything with it makes me feel… uncomfortable, as if I’m wasting it.
Taniah- Well, you sure are an oddball, aren’t you? No wonder Alice likes you, the two of you are perfect for each other! Hehe, however, I more than believe that, very few people feel the same way as you, especially in a place like this. For some inexplicable reason, this Academy attracts people who just seem to think about themselves and whatever they have their eyes on. Sigh… I’m tired of this, I’ve never seen so many egotistical people in one place.
“Re-Really? You think it’s that bad? Aren’t you exaggerating a little bit? I mean, I know at least five people who aren’t like that…”
Taniah- I would love to be exaggerating however, the truth is rather cruel in this case. Also, while I said that the Academy tends to attract egotistical people, I’ve never said or claimed that, it was everyone. However, as rule of the world itself, there will always be exceptions to the rule but those exceptions don’t make the latter untrue and they will never do. This is supposed to be a place where you reach great heights, where you improve yourself beyond anything that you can dream off and yet, the majority of the students here just come from self-interest. While that by itself is nothing wrong, none of them actually achieve something meaningful, some of them, their goals are to simply meet the right persons so that they can climb the “ladder”, achieve whatever they want without much effort at all.
You can feel some sadness, disappointment and even regret behind her “dark” way of seeing the students of the Academy. She means everything she has said but, there is also disappointment in herself for not being able to make this Academy a better place. However, what can a single young lady do by herself? This is not something that she can solve with brute force, this is “mentality” that we are talking about, philosophies in life and how someone lives their life, she can never hope to change any of this with said brute force. You cannot change the mentality of them by physically asking them in fact, it will only create hatred towards herself by doing so. In their eyes, they are more than right and yet, here is this young lady by the name of Taniah, the President of the Student Council trying to change how they think and at the same time, telling them they are wrong. Ha! It will never work but I digress, the fact that Taniah is the one saying this, it gives that much more credibility to her words and the current state of the Academy.
Alice- Both me and Taniah have been students for longer than you could probably guess. I got enrolled here when I was 16, three years ago, while Taniah was 15 when she got in, 4 years ago. What we have seen throughout the years, it will make you think like this, in fact, it will make you hate some of the students that attend the Academy. Some of them really are that despicable and they should never be here. However, when they have the financial powers for such, there is not much that we can do about it. I really believe this is an amazing place that truly can help you grow in ways that you can ever wish for. Let’s use the case of Miss Pandora, she got here thanks to her hard work, she didn’t buy anyone, did some favours and so on. She even got the right for a lab, if that alone does not tell anyone how brilliant she is, I don’t know. This type of people is why both of us have decided to try to make this place better but, as you can see, our efforts served almost for nothing.
Taniah- I can more than attest for that and what she said is accurate. This is going to be my second year as the President of the Student Council and I will tell you, the loops that I had to go through last year will shock you, especially if you were like me, na?ve about the world. The moment you actually find out how the world really works; it will make you want to puke from the sheer repugnance towards some people. Imagine a pristine Academy as this one still has teachers being bribed left and right by students not only that, somehow the same thing happens between them! Or is it between families? Rivals? Either way, some of them even target others to take them out, while no one has been killed inside of here, I cannot say the same outside of here.

Oh wow, that got even darker than before. I had an idea that things were bad especially from how they have treated Anya and most importantly our Kiana. But actually, hiring a hitman to “end” someone is on another level altogether. Dammit, it really is that bad… Now I can fully understand why both Alice and Taniah feel this way, why they are so eager to make this a better place and why Alice is so quick to jump to physical punishment. Of course, Kiana eyes are wide open thanks to the sheer shock and disbelief, the idea she had and still has although said idea is getting destroyed by the damn second, said idea was and is the complete opposite of what they are saying after all, this is the so-called Golden Eden Academy, a pristine Academy well known throughout the entire continent.
Kiana- Is it that bad? Really? Y-You surely are exaggerating after all, ending someone's life is not something to be taken lightly… How is this possible? This Academy is so well talked about outside, from the short time that I’ve been here, I’ve seen such amazing things throughout the place, everything is so advanced, modern and well thought out... My friend Anya, she got a lab to herself, how can stuff like that happen here?
Taniah- Not everything is bad and miss Pandora is a good example, however, what I said unfortunately, it is enough to plague this Academy and create not only a bad environment for those who truly want to learn, better their futures or just achieve something in life, but it also makes an unsafe place and you have already experienced first-hand. That's why I’m doing this, why I go to these lengths, because I more than believe that, if one and I only need one to make my efforts not in vain, if one student can come out of here better than yesterday and because of it, achieve great things in life then, it was all worth it. Miss Pandora, I believe that she has everything to be someone like that, however she can only do so if I protect her.
Alice- Kiana as you can imagine, protection is not only physical, in her case, not only you are beside her and in that regard you more than cover that area but unfortunately, your ability to protect her socially is not something that you can achieve in your current state.
“Erm, now you got me confused. What do you mean by social protection? How does that work? And what do you mean by my current state?”
Well, what Alice said got Kiana more than confused so much so that she slightly tilts her head sideways as she asks this not only with a confused look on her face but with also a curious look on her golden eyes. However, while Kiana has failed to understand Alice's point, I more than was able to comprehend it. Unfortunately, Kiana is a nobody, yes, she’s pretty strong and someone whose strength equals A rank but, no one, with the exception of Alice, and even her she cannot fathom the true extent of it, no one knows how brilliant and even dangerous she truly is. With a simple look not only will you see an angel that decided to descend down to earth, you will also quickly see just how fragile this angel really looks. At the same time, this angel is dressed with “cheap” clothes, easily telling the world why she descends down from heaven, in other words, she is too poor to pay the rent.
Taniah- I understand your confusion but, I don’t think you really understand how much power some students have in here and outside of here. While you could and can easily defeat them in a battle, if you do so, they will ostracize you from society. They have the economic power and or the connections to make it true and trust me, it’s far worse than losing a battle. Imagine not being able to find a job in this city and all of the other ones near it, or in your case, since you have done adventurer work, imagine waking up one day with your license revoked. What they are capable of doing, it is something that even I cannot fathom sometimes. Because of this, the most vulnerable are you and Miss Pandora. Since the two of you got here not because of your economic power or your connections but thanks to your hard work and dedication to it. You got recognized by the most pristine Academy in the country, that alone shows the world just how much more value you have than them. Even those at the top will look at you thanks to it.
Kiana- Wait, they can go to those extents? How is someone supposed to live a normal life if they ever decide to do something like that? I really had no clue that someone could do something like that... Or from the look on your face, someone already did, right? You know, where I came from, although we didn’t have much, the village still lived quite modestly and in harmony. All of this is new to me, the city, the Academy, even how people are dressed, everything's amazing and I do really enjoy seeing all of this but, it’s quite sad to hear and well, even see it. I don’t think that there were such problems in my village but hey, it’s not like I lived in the middle of all of them so, I have no clue, maybe they also behaved in this way...
