Silence once again speaks louder than any sound in this world, but this only lasts for a few moments until Kiana made sure that no one else was near them and she did so by using her Magic Sense skill.
“Erm, so-”
“Thank you.”
Kiana was the first one to speak however, Roxy quickly interrupted her. She said this with a softer tone of voice, her face also does somewhat match her tone of voice. Not only that, she also tilts her head just a bit sideways creating quite the sight to be honest. She means it, she truly means her gratitude, she’s thankful for what Kiana did. It is a genuine reaction from someone who I think has trouble conveying her emotions, her face is always stiff, her eyes emotionless, her tone of voice is the same. She does something, means another and then her face somehow is always the complete opposite. She says a happy phrase only for her face to be stoic giving out a mix of meaning towards those who are targeted at or are listening to her. I can only imagine the misunderstandings that she had over her life and will have, but in this moment, in this specific moment, she’s able to portray what she’s feeling and that alone is a sight to be seen. Even Kiana is taken back by this.
Kiana- Hehe, don’t worry about it! I’m your friend after all! So of course, I will protect you! Not only that, I’m just doing my duty!
Her tone of voice is somewhat loud and filled with joy. Her pale cheeks get a bit red as she says this, but the smile on her face easily says that she's happy to see Roxy's well-being.
Roxy- Doing your duty… Is it because I’m considered your friend that you feel that way?
Kiana- I’ve never thought about it in that way, but I think so? Friends are supposed to have each other's backs; they are supposed to help each other. They are not forced to but they end up wanting to do so. At least that’s what I believe.
Roxy- I see, the duty part confused me a bit. But, can I ask you something? A favour to be precise.
“Of course, you can! What do you need?”
Roxy- Don’t be too mad about them, they are not that bad at the end of the day. And it’s my fault for not setting boundaries with them, that’s why they were and are so comfortable to do this type of things. They are not bad people really.
“Are you joking? Don’t be mad at them? Ridiculous! They went way too far! You don’t need to set such boundaries, it’s common sense! And, how can you even handle this at all? I was this close to snapping and to be honest, it would’ve ended quite bad. I don’t know what was going through my head, I think I was letting my rage get to me…”
Roxy- I understand what you are saying, but normally I have quite the bodyguard with me, so this type of stuff is contained quickly.
Kiana- Oh, if that is the case then, I have to apologize. I did quite the bad job at keeping them at bay but, this was my first time with something like this, I didn’t know what to do... I should’ve been more proactive to be honest, maybe a simple barrier around us would’ve been enough as none of them are strong.
Roxy- Why are you apologizing? Why do you think like that? Did you know any of this would happen? Even though it was your first time?
Kiana- Ah, not really, it’s just that I have a skill that allows me to sense magic, basically all around me and in a somewhat good radius. I did sense them way before they came here, if I was alone, I would’ve kept my guard up but for some reason, I didn’t do it with you. I don’t know, I just think I could’ve done better...

“(Why does she think like that? Why is she blaming herself for what happened?)”
That is a good question Roxy, however this is Kiana that we are talking about. Putting aside her off character personality from before, this is how Kiana is. She has a good head on her shoulders and she understands that there were better ways to deal with this. She’s self-conscious of her actions and comprehends the consequences of such, just as she said, she could have used a barrier to protect them from the fans. It still isn’t her fault and Roxy knows that well, so of course her question is appropriated. “Why is she blaming herself? How can you predict something that you don’t even know could happen?”. To make it harder for Kiana, she got rather confused from Roxy's odd behaviour, she didn’t know how to act and that is when she was taken off guard by those fans.
Roxy- Kiana, don’t blame yourself for this. I knew they were after me, I should have told you what was happening. They are not bad people but as you saw, things can get chaotic quickly. I’m sorry.
“(No, what made everything worse was your question. I never expected it to make me feel like that. I was lost, extremely lost, almost as if I lost my own identity in that very moment. I never felt like this before…)”
Roxy- If next time something like this happens again, I will tell you what’s happening. This has the tendency to happen with frequency so be prepared. Now, about your question, the one where you asked what an Idol is-
Kiana- Ah, you don’t need to answer it right now! I think I have an idea on what an Idol is from all of this. Don’t worry, nothing bad! Not only that, we can always talk about it next time.
Roxy- Is that so? In that case I will take that offer. I don’t think I could give you an answer either way, I have to think about it. How about we have some tea when I figure out an answer for it?
Kiana- Of course! I will be waiting for you then! I need to get going now, but before I do so, would you like to train with me sometime? I am a little bit worried that if you are caught alone in the middle of them something might happen to you. Not only that, your magic energy was going a tad bit berserk, can’t tell you why though, but I can say that you have much more magic energy than I expected! I think you could put it to good use with a little bit of training.
“(I can’t straight out say that it was because of her Magic Core, we simply aren’t that close and this incident made it clear. I have much to learn about her, what she does, who she is, everything about her. There is no way that I can ask about it right now nor in the near future. It has to be her to say something…)”
Roxy- Don’t worry about it, I already have someone who can help me with that. But I will be more careful about my magic, I didn’t even notice that was happening.
……..
……
…
Well, with nothing else to say to each other, they both bid their farewells to each other. Kiana happily goes on her merry way while Roxy stands still in the same place all by herself, thinking about what just happened. Right from the beginning, the middle and the end, everything down to the tiniest detail. Now that she’s all alone she can easily think back to what happen and see it from that much detail however, when she does so, she raises both of her hands towards her chest, gently touching the middle of it with them, or in other words she’s resting her hands on it while intertwining her hands together at the same time.
“She sure is amazing. It’s a lie when I said that I didn’t notice my magic output, it’s just that I couldn’t do anything about it. It was around 70% and climbing up, all thanks to that question, one that should be simple to answer but instead made me question about myself. Although I didn’t use any magic spell at all, somehow, she was able to figure it out. Maybe she sensed it? Yes, that seems to be more accurate, she must have that Magic Sense skill. Even though I was going “berserk” as she said, she still prioritized my well-being above everything else, even though we are strangers to one and another. What an odd woman, somehow, she thinks that everything went like this because of her incompetence and lack of foresight, somehow, it’s her fault for not dealing with them correctly. How can you be this…”
“Kind?”
“Maybe I can trust her, maybe I can tell her about it, about everything.”
Grab! Clothes noises!
She tightly grabs the collar of her shirt as she finishes saying this, as her hope for this wish shines brightly just like Kiana golden eyes. Something she never expected to feel, something that she never saw herself saying, something that she could only dream of thinking about, and yet, here she is saying, thinking and wishing for it. Kiana truly is something else just like she said, a kind hearted young lady ready to help out those in need, a genuine woman with pure, innocent intentions.
Who wouldn’t want to be friends with her?
Who wouldn’t trust her?
Who wouldn’t ask for her help?
