Anya- Revenge? But why? I didn’t do anything to them! I didn’t even want to fight that girl! And yet! And yet! I still had to… She’s far too strong, I’m just a weak village girl, not a fighter.

  Kiana- Hum, maybe jealousy should be better? In my opinion, I think you did good. You stood tall before Miss Florence and you even tried your best against her. For that alone, I think you should be proud of yourself. As you saw yesterday, these cowards once they realize that she was serious, what happened to them? They quivered in fear as they got punched. The fight before that, the mock battle, I saw all of it, you fought fair and square and of course, won the same way. Seriously, if these fools ever mess with you again, just call my name. Not only will I protect you, I will also beat them into oblivion!

  Once again, she lets out her Magical Girl persona, but this time at the end, as she says it loudly and with another pleased smile on her face. This Magical Girl persona of hers, it does seem to have quite the effect on those around her, she seems genuine as she says this, this alone quickly draws the attention to her, and right now that’s no exception. Even though you would think that they are alone at this moment, in fact, several students happened to witness everything that unfolded, but they were too afraid to step in as things got worse. Anyway, everyone here, Anya included, are shocked to Kiana's reaction and words, Anya even stands up as the pain on her ankles is fully gone. Her sharp green eyes are wide open, filled with several emotions, her mouth on the other hand, it’s shut close, she’s biting her lips, the top one to be precise, but she’s doing so in a softly manner, maybe in an attempt of stopping her words from coming out, or in other worlds, to stop her true feelings from getting out. But it’s more than evident that she's feeling sadness as her sharp eyes get watery, creating a conflict between these two, her hands are shaking thanks to the fear that she felt, her mouth trembles even though she’s doing her best to stop it by doing what I refereed before. However, there is a little bit of relief in the middle of all of this, she’s relieved to know that she's not alone in this vast Academy, filled with unknown people. In this precise moment, the young lady in front of her, albeit a weird one, not only has already done so much for her, she still is willing to go even further for her.

  “(Why is she doing this for me? Do I know her or does she know me? I don’t know if she knows me, but I don’t, otherwise I would remember her. Her name, her personality, her face, her manners, everything about her I would remember. At least my memory is something that I can be proud of.)”

  “Thank you…”

  “(And yet, this girl is kind to me, to a mere stranger... I-I want to know her! I want to be close to her! I want to be her friend!)”

  Kiana- Don’t worry about it, just like I said before, I’m just doing my job. You know, it’s my duty to protect the good and fight the evil!

  Pat!

  This time, she pats Anya's head softly as she says this with another big smile on her face. She gently rose her hand towards Anya's head and then softly landed on her green hair. To Kiana's surprise her hair is extremely smooth and yet, it is as thin as a line from a cobweb from a spider. Though, Kiana truly is something else, no? She does all of this so naturally and without any second intentions… That is not something that many people could do. For someone to be this kind to a complete stranger already shows her good nature, but in Kiana's case, it goes way beyond that, in a sense, she really seems like the Magical Girl. Maybe there is something in Anya that Kiana relates to, maybe it’s her origins, they both seem to be “village girls” after all, or maybe it’s nothing like that, and just like I said before, all of this, it is her Magical Girl persona taking control of her. Either way, it’s nice to see someone be this kind to others, the world definitely needs more people like her. Unfortunately, the world is packed with people that are willing to harm others for selfish reasons.

  A second or so have gone by and Anya cheeks are starting to get red as Kiana keeps on patting her. Yep, she’s starting to get embarrassed and with it, she gives a step or so backwards, but then her face quickly turns to one with surprise as she sees that her ankle is fine.

  Anya- Oh, it does not hurt anymore. Thank you, Miss Eris, I really don’t feel any pain anymore.

  Kiana- Just call me Kiana, no need to be that formal. But it’s good to know that you’re better. As I said before, I’m not that good at healing magic so I was a little worried about my performance...

  Anya- In that case you can also call me Anya too. Even though you say that you’re not that good, you sure did an excellent job. Not only that, I noticed that... It was warm? Calm? I can’t describe your magic… How did you do that?

  Well, it seems Anya has finally calmed down as she is speaking somewhat normally. It’s good to see that, and I mean it. But, once again, just like before, I have the tendency to yap quite a bit. Seriously, I have to get this under control otherwise I might get fired. Somehow.

  Kiana- What do you mean by that? Isn’t healing magic supposed to be like that? Just like Pyro magic is hot and Hydro magic is wet?

  Anya- In a sense you’re correct, but... Yes, maybe I’m imagining things, I’m still a little stressed from everything. But I do have a question if you don’t mind me asking you. When they grabbed those stones, I saw you take a stance almost as if you knew what would happen. How did you find out?

  Kiana- Well, I might not look like it, but I have done some adventurer work and I have seen similar stones because of it. The moment I sensed those stones I had an idea what was coming, when I saw them, it confirmed my suspicions.

  Anya- Sensed? What do you mean by that?

  And this picked her interest... Yep, it seems she’s fully back to her normal self, even though I don’t know her. I say this because not only she tilted her head sideways a bit, she also asked with quite the curious look on her face and at the same time, she crossed her arms just below her breasts, giving out the impression that they are resting on them, or vice versa?

  Kiana- Yes, those were summoning stones, they are filled with magic and thanks to it, I knew he had those the moment I got here. So, I was more than prepared for what was about to happen. In fact, you can sense the strength of said monster thanks to the quantity and somewhat quality of the magic inside said stone. As you can probably guess, the more magic they have, the stronger the monster will be.

  Anya- That’s amazing! Do you have any type of skill that allows you to sense that? How did you do that if that is not the case? Is it natural just like breathing? Can anyone learn that, even someone like myself?

  Her curious look quickly changes to an excited one as she bombards Kiana with question after question. It seems they have reached a topic that she’s heavily interested in, not going to say that I was expecting it to happen.

  Kiana- I have several skills that can do that, though, I did learn them naturally per say. To be honest, I happened to stumble upon one of them and from there, I was able to acquire more skills and even evolve said skill.

  Anya- Wait, you can evolve a skill? That’s the first time I’m hearing something like that… What was the first one that you learned? How did you get it? If you don’t mind answering that is.

  Kiana- The first one was Magic Sense Skill. This is the most basic and yet, the most important one, with this you can sense magic from all around you. I gained this skill when I was training with my master. I wanted to have better control my magic output so that I can use powerful spells without self-destructing myself and or those around me. Though, I can only do that if I know how much magic I am using, right?

  Anya- That makes sense, but what type of spells are you referring to? That seems dangerous though… You did say that you did adventurer work, so I would guess that you were able to improve said skill, after all you said that it evolved. Do you have full control of your magic, or is that not possible?

  Kiana- It depends, but yes, while I was doing adventurer work, I was able to improve it. I still have much to learn and to get better at it to be honest. You see, every element has a different control to it. How can I explain it…

  Anya- Element? Are you talking about the primal elements for magic? For example, Pyro and Hydro as you mentioned before? Are you saying that they are somehow different? Of course, they are, one is Pyro while the other is Hydro…

  Kiana- Well by itself they are but, I’m talking about their properties in terms of magic usage. In the case of Pyro for example, it’s harder to focus its magic in one place. A Fireball, if you pay attention to the centre of it, you would think that you could grab it as a whole and yet in reality, what you can physically grab is less than 35% of its size. The rest of it, is fire itself coming out of said ball and without a physical body to grab it, at least in normal ways. The ball in the centre is also made of fire but with said physical body rather than only a chemical reaction created by magic. This is why you can graze someone with said spell without exploding it. Yeah, it will burn them and by quite a lot at that, but with no impact whatsoever.

  Anya- I see, I’ve never thought about it that way, but what about Hydro? From what you said, water is a liquid as we all know and yet with magic you can do several things with it, can’t you?

  Kiana- Yes, of course you can. With Hydro for example, you can form a projectile in the form of a jet of water. You need to increase the speed of the spell as it travels to form said jet and at the same time, continuously pour water into it, although you can use magic for that phenomenon. After that, with more magic and control of it, you can decrease the size of the jet while at the same time increase the speed, increasing the pressure with it and making the jet much more dangerous as it can pierce or cut through steel itself. However, with Pyro you cannot do that. It’s better to say that if you try to do so, the results will be much different, a good example is the spell Flamethrower. Rather than being a jet of fire, it’s basically a cloud of fire that yes, it first starts as a jet as it comes out of the magic circle but quickly gets destabilized, gaining the cloud form that I mentioned.

  Anya- Hmm, the reason for that is because of how fire works in our world, but I see what you are getting at. Let me ask you something else then, you found all of this thanks to that Magic Sense skill? Or did you study all of this?

  Kiana- It wasn’t only that skill but that was the beginning of everything. Over the time I’ve learned; Elemental Sense, Magic Control, Elemental Control and a few more of them. Everything combined allowed me to see and understand how the spells work as I can physically see magic doing its thing.

  Anya- You have Elemental skills!? Yo-You just said a bunch of rare skills just like it’s a normal thing to say… Hum, I have lost my train of thought… Really? You have all of those? Aren’t the Control Skills something that allows you to modify the properties of magic itself? For example, you can in theory, use an advanced version of Pyro? Is that even possible?

  Kiana- You’re correct! With them you can even mix together elements to create new ones for example! Though, there still are limits as you can’t mix Pyro with Hydro. Or maybe you can? Anyway, it’s actually quite a useful set of skills to have. Erm, I’m sounding normal but it is something quite complex and hard to do so. Not only is it physically and spiritually difficult to do, the amount of magic usage also shoots through the damn sky, so much so that you can tire yourself out with a single spell. With training and time, a lot of both, you will get better at it, increasing the efficiency and at the same time decreasing magic usage.
