“Burn everything to ashes! Flamethrower!”
And I couldn’t contain my excitement. I had to do it! They were begging for it! I raise my right hand towards them, a few centimetres from it, a red magic circle is formed, one that indicates that a Pyro spell is about to be unleashed at them. I might be way too excited however, my judgment is still sane, the strength of this Pyro spell will be stronger than the Knight of course but nothing more than B+. To be exact, it will be in the lower B+, but still far too much for them. The magic circle itself is around the same size as my torso, but since it is a circle it has the same size in all directions, making it wider than my torso itself.
Swish! Fire noises!
What came out of the magic circle was nothing more than something akin to the Flames of Hell. With a vibrant red colour to it, a sea of flames comes out of the magic circle, swallowing anything that is unfortunate enough to come in contact with it. At first the magic circle seemed to be absorbing everything as it prepared to unleash its terror. The “absorption” was so strong that it created a “Swish” sound to it as the air itself was being pulled towards the magic circle, creating said sound in the process. Then a fraction of a second later, a jet of flames comes out of it, one that transforms into a wave of flames mere moments later as it loses its initial speed and consistency. They didn’t have a chance to dodge it and if they did block it, it was for nothing. They really couldn’t do anything to protect themselves against the wave of Hell. The flames were close to 875 degrees, hot enough to consume the Knights by whole, melting them mere seconds later and leaving nothing behind at the same time. The spell lasted only for 3 seconds, but it was more than enough to accomplish what it was meant to do.
“Well then, is this it or do I have to keep going?”
No one answers me of course, but since no other Knight has spawn, that means that I have cleared this place. I look towards the crystal that still is behind me, and not to my surprise the seal is gone, it seems I had to defeat twenty of them to unlock the seal. I might have gone overkill with this spell but the magic consumption was nothing special so I’m way above the green if the Whale decides to have a go at me. Moving on, I walk up to the crystal and the same process happens. After that I walk to the main device and as anyone can expect, it’s fully lit, ready to be activated by yours truly.
Before I decide to do anything, I should do my quick usual scout with my Magic Sense skill, not only to know what might be past that colossal door, but also to see if there are any traps associated to this device. Luckily for me there aren’t any traps here and the same about any magic signature past that colossal door, although the path seems to be rather straight. No, seriously, it’s a straight path to god knows where as I cannot sense the end of it. Now that’s odd, but another thing that I have to keep in mind is the damn Whale, that thing is to my right, not close of course, but not that far either as it is right at the edge of the range of my skill. Is this thing circling around me? If that’s the case, that thing is much faster than I could even expect it to be, or am I taking far too long to “conquer” this place? I wouldn’t doubt both possibilities as I do like to yap about for some whatever reason. Just shut for a few minutes for crying out loud!
Magic noises! Colossal door opening noises!
The moment I pour a little bit of magic into the device, it activates mere moments later, opening the colossal door in the process and let me tell you how grand everything looks- Actually, no I won’t. I’ve been jabbering for far too long, this time I won’t say anything!
I didn’t mention this, more so because I was not able to notice from that far, but to go through the colossal door I have to first climb a set of stairs, ones that have the same colour as the previous ones that I mentioned a bit ago. These ones however, are extremely wide, adding more evidence to my theory that a monstrosity walks through here. But, just what type of monstrosity uses this? Whatever might be, I really don’t want to face it, that Whale is more than enough. Oh well, if time comes to shove, I will do it, I have to. I climb the stairs and go through the colossal door, one that shuts behind me right after I do so. I can’t go back this time around it seems, not that I want to, but this does give the impression that I’m finally about to meet whoever is the owner of this place. To make that impression even greater, it’s the distance that I will have to traverse. It’s a bridge I would say, as in both of my sides there is nothing, just the air itself and whatever the abyss might look like.

It's a long, and I mean long corridor, easily with more than a kilometre of length. I just can see the end of it, not much else though. This corridor has the arch ceiling, on both sides there are the pillars helping out support said ceiling and right between them, a railing that stops you from accidentally falling down into god knows what. The ground is paved by tiles, ones that follow the same colour as the previous stairs, but since they are covered by the ceiling, they don’t have that shine to them. Now that I look at them, they seem to be made of polished marvel rather than the Crystal material from all the previous ones. Before I decide to get moving, I walk up to one of the sides. The idea with this is to see if there is something out there, but I was not able to find anything at all, just the sky, more sky and a little bit of clouds in the sky. The other side is exactly the same so not much that I can say about it. It seems I really have to descend down this long corridor and hope that, whatever is down there, it will at least lead me to the owner of this place.
Step!
I might want to get out of here but I’m not in a rush. I really don’t want to tire myself out without any justification, so I decide to simply walk towards the end.
Step!
But oh boy, this sure will take some time, not only that, I can’t hear a single thing with the exception of my footsteps. In a place like this you would expect at the very least to hear the wind but nope, nothing of that sort.
Step!
Did I say this was only a kilometre long? Yep, I was wrong! Ups ?>w! It actually seems to be as long as eternity itself! How is this so long!? How is this even being supported?
Step!
Wait a second, is this the same situation as before? The same one as the maze? I quickly turn around the moment this possibility came to mind. I don’t know if I should be happy to find out that this long corridor is just that, a long corridor. Well, I just need to keep on moving-
Kict! Kict! Kict!
And here it is, the sound of death itself! Just as I was coming to terms with my situation, I clearly hear the Whale song. The ground shook with it of course, I also felt the vibrations throughout my entire body as the sound travelled throughout this place. As fast as I can, I face the direction of where the sound is coming from, to my right in this case and to no one surprise I see the Whale. It still is far, quite far from me but it’s going towards my direction. Surely that thing won't crash down into me, right? I mean, it’s above me so if it wants to do that it first needs to come down…
“You gotta be kidding me!”
All of my fears have come to reality. The Whale is coming at me with incredible speed, it has gained that much altitude so that it could crash down towards me, once it reaches the necessary distance from me it will descend down with its immense speed and some more, all thanks to how gravity will work out in favour of its massive size. I won’t have much of a chance to dodge it, that’s if I don’t start to run now. And that’s exactly what I will do right now.
Whale Noises!
Argh, the sounds that thing makes are way too loud and deep! Every single bone in my body shivers with the sound alone, the vibrations are making them shake to their very cores. This is unbelievably uncomfortable however, in this case I really can’t complain, I just need to run. I think that the Whale made those noises because it noticed me running towards the exit per say. I could go back but I don’t know where I’m currently closest to and if the Whale does end up destroying the bridge, which it will, how will I be able to progress further if I went back? No, I can’t go back, I just have to keep on running forward.
“Dammit, this is going to be close!”
Flap!
This is it, this will determine whether I can “dodge” the Whale or if I get hit by it. That thing flaps its fins, those two massive fins, the moment it does so a shock wave follows it from the sheer force behind it. I cannot feel the said shock wave because I’m still too far from it but I sure can see it, as said flap creates a visible shock wave in the air. To make things more dreadful to my situation, its speed also shoots through the damn roof, not as fast as the speed of sound as I was able to hear the sound first before anything else, but still quite fast. This is going to be close, really close.
The Whale is close to 500 meters from me, but I’m almost the same from the door in front of me. Let me tell you a little secret, but keep it between us, ok? The Whale is just a tad bit faster than I am.
400 meters-
300 meters-
200 meters, and the Whale is officially closer to me than I am to the damn door. I have to step up!
150 meters. Wait, the Whale is going to hit the middle of the bridge!?
100 meters-
50 meters-
25 meters-
10 meters-
……..
