Reinforced Fist is the most widely practiced martial art within Sunset Rebellion, regarded as the cornerstone of mercenary combat. Developed centuries ago by an unknown soldier-for-hire, it has since become the standard discipline among professional fighters and enforcers.
Mastery of Reinforced Fist demands rigorous conditioning. Practitioners must repeatedly flex and relax their muscles in controlled patterns until the process becomes instinctive—a form of internal hardening that can take months or, in some cases, years to perfect.
At its core, Reinforced Fist revolves around muscle tension as both a defensive and offensive principle. By flexing specific muscles, usually the arm, the practitioner can dramatically enhance physical resilience and striking power—effectively multiplying their strength and durability by at least twofold.
Unlike most martial arts, Reinforced Fist does not rely on named techniques. Instead, it is built upon a series of internal principles.
Principle #1: Strength
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Strength lies at the core of Reinforced Fist. Though the art enhances resilience, its main purpose is to amplify power to overwhelming levels. As a result, practitioners typically develop more heavily built, muscular physiques compared to those who follow other martial disciplines.
Principle #2: Sincerity
All practitioners of Reinforced Fist possess immense physical strength. To fully harness it, they are trained to strike with their entire effort—every punch delivered with total commitment. This constant exertion quickly drains stamina, but the trade-off is often decisive, as a single well-placed blow can end most battles instantly.
Principle #3: Unbreakable
While Reinforced Fist grants exceptional defensive capabilities, it leaves practitioners vulnerable to cutting and piercing attacks. However, when adopting a proper guard stance, they become nearly impervious to blunt-force strikes, allowing them to withstand tremendous physical punishment.
