THE FLAME SIGIL: WHEN THE ANGEL TAKES THE FORM OF FIRE

  Part 1. A Chance Encounter

The early September sky was crystal clear, but to Saintlyshu and Erlaibijin, the world below was crawling with terrifying “creatures”: humans.

While humanity often played courage?testing games with spirits, the two of them were doing the opposite. They were playing hide?and?seek, trying to avoid the gazes of the crowd. As they frantically searched for a place to hide, Erlaibijin suddenly stopped. Her eyes widened, shimmering with amazement.

  “An angel…” she whispered.

Saintlyshu looked up through the canopy of leaves, scanning the sky. “Where? Where? Did an angel really descend to the mortal world?”

Erlaibijin wasn’t looking at the sky. She pointed toward a young woman standing motionless amid the bustling city. The girl had her eyes tightly closed, possessing a pure, snow?white beauty so immaculate it seemed to freeze the surrounding space in place.

“The angel is right here on this earthly plane,” Erlaibijin smiled.

Saintlyshu was also captivated by the sight and replied jokingly, “Maybe she had an errand to run today, that’s why she descended to take a stroll.”

They walked away, leaving behind the “angel,” still immersed in the darkness behind her closed eyes. They did not know that the girl had not descended from the heavens at all—she had just been given a humanoid form. She was Fire.

Part 2. The Flame of Wrath

When those eyes finally opened, the world was no longer as peaceful as it looked.

With every step she took, the ground turned to ash. Whatever she touched ignited instantly in raging flames. Fear and terrified screams from the surrounding humans began to close in on her.

“Why… why does everything burn to the ground?”

Despair transformed into rage. If everyone looked at her with horror, if everyone fled the moment she drew near, then she would give them a true reason to be afraid.

Elsewhere, Tehimosin suddenly came to a halt. The red thread of destiny trembled violently beneath his feet.

“Nebelselle, this way! A new connection is forming!”

When they arrived, the sky over an entire area had been dyed crimson by the inferno. Tehimosin ordered Nebelselle to summon rain to contain the blaze, then stepped straight into the heart of the fire—where the “angelic” girl stood, surrounded by roaring flames.

“Stop! Why are you doing this?” Tehimosin shouted over the crackling fire.

“If everyone fears me, then I’ll give them something to fear!” the girl shot back, unleashing a fierce wave of heat.

At that moment, Saintlyshu and Erlaibijin also rushed onto the scene. Erlaibijin gasped in shock. “It’s the girl from earlier… Did the angel cause all of this?”

Tehimosin did not retreat. His voice softened, his gaze filled with understanding.

“Are you going through something painful? Tell me. I’m here to help you. You don’t have to carry this burden alone. Share it with me.”

“You’re not afraid of me?” the girl hesitated, her voice trembling. “Anything I touch vanishes. I… I just want to touch something without destroying it…”

Tehimosin smiled, a warmth gentler than her own flames. He opened his arms wide.

“So that’s what it is. If you want to touch something… then come here and hug me.”

“You’re insane! I’ll burn you to ashes!”

“It’s all right. Trust me. I have the ability to ‘tame’ powers that rage out of control.”

With a decisive motion, Tehimosin pulled her into his embrace. The instant their bodies touched, the ferocious flames surrounding her abruptly died out, leaving behind a fragile young girl trembling in his arms.

Part 3. The Arrival of Ang?Fuohiko

When Tehimosin brought the new member back to the base, a tense atmosphere settled over the place. Even those with special abilities could not help but shiver.

“Why are they afraid of me?” the girl asked quietly, a trace of sadness in her eyes. “Aren’t they special like you?”

“They are special—but no one can resist fire,” Tehimosin replied.

Nearby, JoouSeele asked Erlaibijin curiously, “You’re a diamond. Are you afraid of fire too?”

Erlaibijin nodded solemnly. “Sister JoouSeele, no matter how hard a diamond is, at a high enough temperature and with oxygen, it can sublimate into gas and disappear completely. Hard doesn’t mean immortal.”

Attention then turned to Tehimosin. Gigyeumu explained the frightening nature of the Master’s “adaptation” ability: every time he was injured by an attack, once the wound healed, his body would automatically become immune to that type of damage.

HuaZessin—trembling while hiding behind Saintlyshu—added, “The Master once saved people from a fire and was severely burned. That’s why flames can’t hurt him anymore…”

“So you’re scared, huh?” DeesSwano teased. “Plants wither instantly when they meet fire!”

“You little brat, teasing me now?!” HuaZessin snapped, bristling.

“Calm down,” JoouSeele said gently. “She hasn’t burned anyone.”

The new girl curled her lips into a mysterious smile. “I don’t burn anyone… unless they want to test how much heat they can endure.”

Saintlyshu nudged Erlaibijin. “Your angel’s joined the group.”

After hearing the story of their chance encounter on the street, Tehimosin looked at the girl and declared:

“From now on, your name is Ang?Fuohiko. Ang means angel; Fuoco and Hi both mean fire. You are the Angel of Flame.”

“Angel of Flame, huh? Sounds cool. I like it.”

Under Tehimosin’s guidance, Ang?Fuohiko began her new life. But because her power was overwhelming, she had to remain within a ten?meter radius of the Master to keep her flames under control—a bond both warm and dangerously intimate.

Part 4. A Promise Beneath the Moonlight

On a quiet October night, moonlight spilled silver across the rooftop. Tehimosin gazed up at Earth’s natural satellite, where the silhouette of a solitary structure could be seen.

“DaljoaMoon, it’s been a long time since you went to your house on the moon, hasn’t it?”

DaljoaMoon didn’t look up. She silently stepped closer and wrapped her arms tightly around Tehimosin, as if afraid he might fade into nothingness.

“Master… I just want to stay close to you,” she whispered, her voice choking. “That house is beautiful, but every time I look at it, I remember when I almost lost you. I want to be here, on this earth, where I can feel your real warmth right in front of me.”

She tightened her embrace. “I don’t want to be separated from you, not even for a second—let alone twenty?four hours.”

Tehimosin smiled and gently patted her shoulder. “I understand. If someone someday goes to the moon and discovers that house, I’ll proudly tell them: That is DaljoaMoon’s home.”

Peace did not last long. In early November, a shocking news report came out of Xephobicar. The nation was under attack by grotesque creatures, yet their behavior was deeply abnormal.

“This is strange… why are the monsters only targeting vehicles on the highways?” Tehimosin muttered as he stared at the television screen.

The creatures destroyed everything with wheels and engines, yet completely ignored panicking pedestrians and cyclists around them. Ang?Fuohiko suddenly stood up, crimson sparks flaring in her eyes.

“We have to go there. If there’s any secret hidden behind those heaps of scrap metal, I’ll burn the lies away with fire!”

This time, Ang?Fuohiko was the Master’s only companion. No aircraft, no vehicles—she focused her energy into her legs, releasing powerful jet?like flames. Holding Tehimosin in her arms, she launched into the sky like a living missile, leaving behind a blazing red trail that split the heavens in two.

The moment they touched down in Xephobicar, a horrifying scene unfolded before them. Thick black smoke billowed upward in towering columns. Cars lay overturned, shattered, and scorched beyond recognition.

“Look,” Tehimosin pointed at a group of people fleeing right past the monsters without being attacked. “They don’t care about humans. This is revenge… revenge against vehicles.”

“Whatever their reason, people have already died,” Ang?Fuohiko growled through clenched teeth. Her killing intent warped the air around her as the temperature spiked. “Don’t worry, Master. Trash like this won’t give me any trouble.”

“Ang?Fuohiko! Use Flame Spray!” Tehimosin commanded.

Ang?Fuohiko shot upward, her form blocking out the sun itself. Four monsters on the road looked up, their eyes reflecting a brilliant, deadly red. She took a deep breath, her lungs brimming with elemental fire energy.

  “INCINERATE!”

A colossal pillar of fire, carrying the heat of the Earth’s core, erupted from her mouth and scorched a straight path along the highway. The monsters’ roars were swallowed by the roar of flame. In the blink of an eye, all four massive creatures were reduced to ash, scattered by the wind without a trace.

Tehimosin gazed at the drifting ashes and nodded calmly. “One move… Your power is truly astonishing.”

Ang?Fuohiko landed, her eyes lingering on the burned?out vehicles. “But why do they hate cars so much? Perhaps… humans here once used these machines to bring catastrophe upon their race.”

The first four monsters had fallen, yet the heavy atmosphere over Xephobicar remained. The truth behind the monsters’ rage was still a vast mystery waiting to be uncovered.

On November 8th, the sky over Xephobicar was ash?gray. Television broadcasts relentlessly updated grim reports: the monsters were no longer destroying vehicles on the streets. They had begun tracking down families who owned cars, knocking on doors and carrying out bloody purges.

“Why only Xephobicar?” Tehimosin pondered, eyes fixed on the world map. “And why such hatred toward drivers?”

Nebelselle, ever sensitive to the world’s vibrations, spoke softly.“They aren’t hunting vehicles… they’re hunting memories. It seems those who once held the steering wheels in this country committed an unforgivable sin against their race.”

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

This time, Tehimosin went into battle alongside Nebelselle and Ang?Fuohiko. Upon encountering the enemy, Ang?Fuohiko could no longer restrain her fury. She roared, concentrating heat so intensely in her palm that the surrounding air twisted.

  “Fireball!”

A massive fireball tore through the night, colliding with the first monster and turning it into ash with a deafening explosion. Without pause, her entire body ignited, her eyes glowing with hellish red.

  “Inferno!”

She stomped down, and a circle of pitch?black flames spread across the street, dragging the remaining three monsters into a living furnace. When the flames died out, only scorch marks on the asphalt and the heavy breathing of the Angel of Flame remained.

Tehimosin walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder.“You did great. You’ve worked hard.”

One week later, Xephobicar descended into chaos. Citizens desperately burned their own cars, hoping the flames would drive death away. But the monsters shifted their target—now they went directly for the lives of drivers.

This expedition included HuaZessin and DeesSwano as well. In the ruined city center, Ang?Fuohiko was carrying Tehimosin through the air when they encountered two bizarre enemies. One resembled a gigantic, oozing gum creature, while the other was a walking chocolate mass, exuding a sweet fragrance that masked lethal intent.

  “Snacks?” Ang?Fuohiko sneered in contempt.

The Gum Monster launched sticky, elastic strands, while the Chocolate Creature spewed liquid that hardened like stone. Ang?Fuohiko roared the names of her techniques in response:

“Furious Fire Dragon!” — a blazing dragon shredded the gum monster apart.

“Phoenix Flames!” — fiery wings spread wide, causing the chocolate creature to melt and evaporate instantly.

  “All done!” she declared smugly.

However, the temperature suddenly plummeted to –10°C. From within the pale white mist, two icy phantoms emerged: a gigantic Popsicle and a freezing Ice?Cream Cone. The frigid air radiating from them weakened Ang?Fuohiko’s flames.

“So cold… My fire… it’s not working,” Ang?Fuohiko staggered back, her lips turning purple from thermal shock.

The Ice element was her natural nemesis. Seeing Ang?Fuohiko at a disadvantage, Tehimosin immediately gave the order:

“Ang?Fuohiko, fall back behind me! DeesSwano, you’re up!”

DeesSwano stepped forward calmly, a confident smile forming on her lips. She raised both palms toward the Ice monsters.

  “Super Sonic Burst!”

  Oooooong—!

An invisible shockwave erupted with space?rending force. The monsters’ seemingly eternal ice armor could not withstand the extreme vibration frequency—it cracked apart and shattered into thousands of crystalline fragments that rained down onto the ground.

“Well done,” Tehimosin nodded approvingly. “Your sound waves cut through the ice like a knife through paper.”

DeesSwano shrugged. “Ice can extinguish fire, but sound has no temperature. They can’t resist something they can’t even touch.”

Standing nearby, Ang?Fuohiko’s eyes were downcast, yet filled with resolve. “This time, I lost… Next time, I’ll forge flames capable of burning even ice.”

Tehimosin turned to face her, looking straight into the eyes of the fire?wielder.

“Ang?Fuohiko, you don’t fight alone. We are a team. You don’t always need to win through individual strength. Knowing when to step back and let your comrades advance—that is true strength.”

He smiled at all four of them. “Each of us commands a different element, a different personality. But when we come together… we are unbeatable.”

“Yes… I understand, Master,” Ang?Fuohiko said softly, lowering her head. Within her heart, a warm flame of camaraderie flickered—steadier and more enduring than any destructive fire.

On November 22, the sky over Xephobicar no longer bore any trace of blue. Dense black clouds formed from the smoke of burning wreckage completely blocked out the sun.

Tehimosin stood in the middle of the city square, surrounded by Gigyeumu, DaljoaMoon, JoouSeele, and Ang?Fuohiko. Together, they were doing everything they could to evacuate the last remaining groups of civilians out of the danger zone. Wails of despair mixed with the sounds of collapsing debris, forming a tragic symphony of ruin.

Gigyeumu, his sharp eyes constantly analyzing environmental data, quietly adjusted his glasses. His voice grew heavy with concern.

“Master, based on the attack patterns and coordination between the candy and ice monsters we’ve encountered… I suspect there’s someone controlling all of this from behind the scenes. Their objective isn’t just the vehicles—they intend to erase this entire mechanized civilization from the world map.”

A cold wind swept through, carrying gray ash in its wake. In the eerie silence following Gigyeumu’s conclusion, a deep, mocking voice suddenly echoed from behind the heaps of rubble.

  “Your deduction is wrong.”

  DaljoaMoon asked: Who are you?

The strange man replied: I am Absaplonkon. I am the one who created those monsters.

JoouSeele asked: Why did you cause all this?

  Absaplonkon’s past:

His daughter loved to eat sweets (cakes, candies, milk, ice cream, etc.).

A sunny corner of a park, lush green trees, birds chirping.

Absaplonkon’s daughter, a five-year-old girl named Youchekada, was running across the grass, her long black hair flowing, her smile radiant like sunlight.

Absaplonkon, then still a gentle father, sat on a bench, smiling as he watched his daughter.

Youchekada held a star-shaped kite, trying to make it fly but kept failing.

She turned back, eyes sparkling, and called out, “Daddy, help me!”

Absaplonkon stood up, ran over, and the two of them laughed together, trying to fly the kite.

A close-up showed Youchekada’s small hand holding her father’s, with a green rope bracelet peeking out from her wrist.

Absaplonkon taught Youchekada how to tie knots to make the kite stronger.

Youchekada said: Daddy, you’re so good at everything! When I grow up, I want to be like you and create cool things!

Absaplonkon replied: You’ll do even greater things than me, Youchekada. I believe in you.

A side angle showed Absaplonkon’s gentle eyes, full of love and pride.

Youchekada smiled brightly and hugged her father, while the kite finally soared high into the sky.

The next day, as usual, Absaplonkon took Youchekada to the park to play, this time with her mother.

The little girl wanted to eat something sweet, so her mother took her to buy pudding.

Youchekada, still wearing the blue bracelet, stood on the sidewalk, waving to her dad from a distance. Absaplonkon was busy with a work call at the time.

Suddenly, a speeding car swerved onto the sidewalk, hitting both the mother and the little girl.

Absaplonkon heard a frantic scream, ran out, and saw that his daughter was dead. His wife was dying.

Absaplonkon's wife: It was a car...

  She fainted.

Although Absaplonkon was only a few steps away from his wife and daughter, he couldn't get there in time, which proves how fast the car was going.

It's important to remember that this was a speed-restricted road.

The area had no cameras. The only witness was an insane woman.

No matter how Absaplonkon asked, the crazy woman would only say one thing: "It was the car that hit those two people."

She didn't know what kind of car it was, what brand, or what color. The police couldn't do anything either.

Days and months passed, and waiting became meaningless.

In a dark room, Absaplonkon clenched the bracelet and wedding ring, tears streaming down his cheeks, his eyes shifting from grief to anger.

Not long after, Absaplonkon's wife also passed away.

  Back to the present:

Ang-Fuohiko asked: How did you create the monsters?

Absaplonkon replied: I don’t know either. There were sparkling dust particles that fell into the snacks Youchekada liked to eat, like a birthday cake, Black Forest, Sachertorte, apple pie, Pavlova, lollipop, Konpeitō, candy, chewing gum, chocolate, ice pop, ice cream cone cakes, shaved ice, milk, yogurt, cheese, and so on.

JoouSeele said to the Master: The sparkling dust he mentioned might be magical dust.

The Master said: It’s very likely.

Absaplonkon said: I told those monsters to find the culprit who killed my wife and daughter, but they only knew how to destroy cars and kill drivers.

Absaplonkon continued: Now, the monsters have killed every driver in this country.

DaljoaMoon said: That means the monsters accidentally killed the culprit who murdered your wife and daughter.

Absaplonkon said: Exactly. I just wanted to find the culprit and make him apologize at the graves of my wife and daughter. Why wouldn’t he turn himself in?

Gigyeumu said: The culprit was afraid of being killed if he turned himself in.

  Absaplonkon said: That's impossible.

The Master said: How can we know? Everyone has a different brain. How can we understand the mind of a murderer? A killer always thinks everyone else is a killer, that's all.

Suddenly, Absaplonkon collapsed to the ground.

DaljoaMoon, being a doctor, gave her diagnosis.

  DaljoaMoon said: He’s dead.

  The Master asked: Why?

DaljoaMoon replied: It was cancer. He had terminal cancer.

Four monsters suddenly appeared, hugged Absaplonkon's body, flew up into the sky, and disappeared. At this moment, a heavy rain began to fall from the sky. It was milk rain.

The Master said: Ang-Fuohiko, return now.

The Master used a teleportation device (an ankle) to send Ang-Fuohiko home, because she is fire and afraid of rain.

Gigyeumu said: So one of those four monsters must be made of milk?

DaljoaMoon said: Remember to shower right away when you get home, or your hair will get sticky. Clothes should be washed immediately, or they’ll smell sour.

JoouSeele said: The sugar and protein in milk can attract insects.

The Master said: It's done. Everyone, let's go home.

The Master collected a large amount of fresh milk to bring home.

The milk rain extinguished the fires caused by the monsters.

Absaplonkon was reunited with his wife and daughter in heaven. Youchekada also had new friends: monsters made from sweets (A birthday cake, Black forest, Sachertorte, Apple pie, Pavlova, Lolipop, Konpeitō, K?o, Chewing gum, Chocolate, Ice pop, Ice cream cone cakes, Shaved ice, Milk, Yogurt, Cheese,...), all her favorite snacks.

The country of Xephobicar changed its transportation system:

  • Walking became part of a new lifestyle—slow, peaceful, and connected to the environment. Cities redesigned public spaces with wide sidewalks, greenery, and resting benches. People walked for exercise, conversation, or simply to enjoy the fresh air.

  •
  • Bicycles became king. Bicycles were not just a means of transport but a symbol of freedom, sustainability, civility, and safety. Professional cyclists became admired stars, and bicycles were upgraded with accessories, turning into powerful machines.

  •
  • Subways became the backbone of every city, helping reduce congestion and pollution. Subway stations were designed as cultural hubs, integrating libraries, art spaces, and shopping areas. Riding the subway was no longer just a necessity but part of a smart urban lifestyle.

  •
  • Horses and carriages returned in rural areas. This created a striking contrast with modern cities and reflected a choice to live slowly and closer to nature in a world being rebuilt.

  Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

As mentioned above, wherever Ang-Fuohiko goes, her master still needs to go with her or stay within a 10-meter radius so that he can control her flames.

One time, because she was too caught up in playing, she went beyond the 10-meter radius.

However, Ang-Fuohiko was still able to control her flames, so she became overconfident and went very far away to explore and show off to her master.

Because she was tired from walking so far, she sat down to rest under a tree.

Just then, a pervert came and tried to grope and rape her while she was sleeping.

As everyone knows, because Ang-Fuohiko's clothes are always burned by the fire Nebelselle designed, her current outfit is just a simple cloth wrapped around her body.

The pervert groped Ang-Fuohiko's body. She was so terrified that she couldn't control her flames anymore, causing her special move "Flaming Explosion" to unconsciously erupt.

After that, he was burned. At this moment, Ang-Fuohiko panicked and didn't know what to do, and he had already turned to ash.

When the master realized Ang-Fuohiko was gone, he went to look for her.

Finally, the master found Ang-Fuohiko. She looked very sad. She didn't have a single piece of cloth left on her body (her clothes were burned by the flames of the "Flaming Explosion" special move).

  Master: Are you okay?

  Ang-Fuohiko: Yes, I'm fine, I'm okay.

Master: Does “okay” have any other meaning today?

  Ang-Fuohiko: What do you mean?

Master: You don't look okay at all, you're lying to me.

Ang-Fuohiko hugged her master and burst into tears, telling him the whole story from beginning to end.

The master comforted Ang-Fuohiko: It's okay, don't be afraid, you're safe now.

Then the master used his teleportation to call DaljoaMoon.

  Master: DaljoaMoon, I choose you.

  DaljoaMoon appeared.

DaljoaMoon: Master, why did you call me?

The master pointed to the pile of ashes on the ground: This guy just molested Ang-Fuohiko. She accidentally burned him to ashes. Can you use your “Revive from the Dead” special move to save him?

DaljoaMoon: Yes, I know, master. I will save him tonight.

After saying that, the master took Ang-Fuohiko home. DaljoaMoon waved goodbye to the master.

DaljoaMoon looked at the pile of ashes of the pervert with a contemptuous expression.

DaljoaMoon: Why should I save a scumbag?

With that, DaljoaMoon went to find a shovel and buried him under the tree.

DaljoaMoon: Besides the master, I will not save anyone else.

The scene shifts to the Master and Ang-Fuohiko.

Ang-Fuohiko: Master, aren't you going to blame me? I killed that person.

Master: It's not your fault. You were able to control your inner fire. You did a good job.

Master: It was fear that caused your power to erupt and lose control.

When they got home, the Master recounted Ang-Fuohiko's story to everyone.

After hearing the story, Gigyeumu wanted to help her because Gigyeumu felt that Ang-Fuohiko was quite similar to her in the past, so she wanted to help her control her inner flame.

Gigyeumu: Here, I'm giving you this book.

Ang-Fuohiko: Why are you giving me a blank book?

Gigyeumu: Write down the things that you feel are the happiest.

Ang-Fuohiko: I only feel happy when I'm with the master.

Gigyeumu: That's right, it's only when we're with the master that we feel true happiness.

Ang-Fuohiko (nodding) was so overcome with joyful emotion that she accidentally burned the book.

  Gigyeumu and Ang-Fuohiko: Ah.

After that, Gigyeumu told Ang-Fuohiko her story of how she went from being an arrogant person to the humble person she is now.

Gigyeumu promised to help Ang-Fuohiko go from being hot-tempered to being calm.

At this time, the other members of the group also gathered.

Nebelselle: I'm sorry, when we first met you, you looked so fierce that we forgot to do the new friend welcome ceremony.

Ang-Fuohiko: What is the new friend welcome ceremony?

Erlaibijin: We all hate humans. When I was just born, I was chased by humans, and that feeling was terrifying. It was like a baby deer being hunted by a pack of lions.

Saintlyshu: I had a group of angry humans point guns at me; they wanted to kill me. They were so evil that they would hunt you down to the end, even if there was only one survivor, they would kill them.

JoouSeele: The more I learn about humans, the more I hate them.

  DaljoaMoon: Humans electrocuted me.

Gigyeumu: Humans betrayed me and tried to kill me.

DeesSwano: Humans broke my head and tortured me in the cruelest ways.

HuaZessin: Humans cremated me while I was still alive.

Nebelselle: Humans slandered me and took out their anger on me.

Ang-Fuohiko became close with the older girls. Ang-Fuohiko received enthusiastic help and support from them.

After a while, Ang-Fuohiko was able to control her flames. Now, when she touches a book, she doesn't cause it to burn.

And Ang-Fuohiko can now wear the beautiful clothes that Nebelselle designed.
