Chapter 40 / Luna / 170 ACD-12-7 07:50 p.m. Planet One-Unio

  “Not bad, right?” Luna asked.

They sat together in the library. Their guests left after establishing the hour and deciding at which Gate they wanted to meet the next morning.

“O, yes, it looks promising,” Taj agreed. “It also looks like your Silly is smart, and he knows more than I expected. Which is good.”

“Taj? What do you think about Lukai?” Luna asked.

She felt that Lukai started well but was too nervous at the end. Why, though?

“He surprised me when he mentioned Anders. I didn’t expect someone to find this lost package. What a discovery. What was even more surprising was that he was not aware of what was inside. And he is their General. That shows they parted ways long ago, his Leader and him,” Taj said slowly.

“Right, but did you spot that he was anxious? Why?” she asked; she couldn’t pin down the reason for it.

“Luna, I only assume it, but I suspect Lukai has goals he keeps to himself, and knowledge, especially about weapons, is significant to him. I think he can surprise us in the future. Let’s observe him. I am still wary of your Silly, but I am open to changing my mind,” he added.

  Luna laughed.

“Good that you’re open, Taj. All right, so then, tomorrow? Should I pay attention to something, especially?” she asked.

“Let them act freely and align to what they want to show us or talk about. After that, let’s decide. I still see these two options as the best ones, either to come back to Shadows or to go into hiding. Both are possible for us,” Taj said.

“Let’s continue to be troublemakers, as you once said,” Luna added.

  Taj slightly smiled.
