Suna quickly thrust into the open chest of both Undead, destroying their runes. Before he ran for Jack, however, he remembered his Pyre Flame. Suna knelt, tapping the blue pendant into the undead bodies. A burnt odor spilled into Suna’s nose. He watched as Pyre Flame started at the spot he touched on the body.
The blue flame trailed around and slowly ate away at the Hulk's body.
Observing his stat, his Pyre Flame climbed up, the more flesh the blue flame consumed.

Suna ran, not intending to waste any more time.
To the left, nestled below a twin palm tree, was the humble one-story cabin. Two Shieldnites stood as its guards, and each of them did not seem inclined to move. Even as Suna closed in on them, they just stood there, which suited him well.
He glanced at Jack, who seemed to have taken down one Shieldnite. It was still too far away to see clearly, but he would just trust in the Tiefling’s victory.
Suna came to a stop and drew an Emberwind Arrow, aiming straight at the two Shieldnite still meters away. He tapped his foot and propelled himself up with Gale Step.
He crossed his legs in the air so they did not flail as Suna reached the apex of his jump. His cloak flailed around him, and the unruly wind tried to throw him off balance. But Suna's focus was on the cabin.
He would shoot over the Shieldnite.
The Undead guardian, not having a way to block this arrow, could only watch.
Suna discharged his Emberwind Arrow. The air hissed, and a streak of flame burst forward—recoiling Suna backward.
The flame-tailed arrow skipped above the undead.
Suna steadied his brimhat as eagerness took over him.
Hit!
As his arrow was about to rain down on the fragile cabin–an aegis of white appeared out of thin air above the cabin’s roof—halting the arrow's momentum. The two spells grated against each other in a sizzling clash. The flame burned away, and Suna’s arrow turned into ash.
He landed, still unsure of what was happening.
With his Eagle Eyes, Suna spotted that one of the Undead Shieldnites was lying on the ground.
The other one—its brethren had something in its hand. Instead of a double shield, it's usually worn; it no longer held defense. But perhaps this was more terrifying. Replacing its shield, which now lay in the ground, was a green lantern of Dua in its left hand.
And on its right, it held a sword of bright white. The sword extended and turned into a coil of white around the Shieldnite.
It whipped its new weapon forward.
Suna quickly drew another Emberwind Arrow. The razor lashed at him, like a snake.
He ignored the razor and discharged straight at the Shieldnite. However, the razor coiled around his arrow mid-flight, wrestling it to the ground.
Suna bit the inside of his cheek. He locked another Emberwind arrow to his Gale Bow and launched it again. This time, the razor has completely destroyed his first arrow and lashed up to catch his second one.
His arrow should be more powerful now, but the lash was too. It broke apart the Emberwind Arrow. And struck at Suna.
Forced to leave his position, Suna rolled back. The whip cracked the earth he was standing on. As Suna stood, he released another arrow—this time, he did not use a spell arrow; he fired a normal one instead.
The Shieldnite’s razor again broke apart his arrow. And that suited Suna well enough. He fired three arrows in quick succession. One straight at it, another arcing up, and the last he held for a couple of seconds.

The lash moved in a frenzy after each arrow, and this bought Suna some time. He charged another Emberwind Arrow, infusing it with more mana. Flame’s tail swiveled in excitement, and heat rose above his shoulder. He breathed out. By the time the razor had finished destroying his normal arrows, the spell arrow ignited into a flight. A crackle of flame left his hand and surged away at the Undead.
When it whipped at his arrow again this time, the Shieldnite’s razor was forced back. His arrow burst through the lash as it kept trying to stop it by coiling around it in a blur of speed.
Suna did not wait for his arrow to land. With Gale Step, he stepped forward. And he nocked an enhanced Sootroot Arrow, intending to shoot at the Shieldnite’s cracked armor and finish it for good.
Flame blossomed in a violent flare, sending smoke up.
Suna focused his gaze, forcing his Eagle Eyes and Thermal Instinct to their limit.
His Thermal Instinct recognized the hit, and intense heat was applied to the point it melted.
Good, now he skidded to a stop, and aimed at it—
Shadow bursted from the smoke, rushing at Suna at a speed that was unbefitting of the steel hulk.
With a light sword thrust forward, the Shieldnite lunged at Suna. It was in front of him. In the blink of an eye—
Suna whipped Umbralline out, letting go of his arrow and bow. He deflected the sudden lunge, steel ground against the spell sword. He hissed and blew back the attempt.
The Undead, now with most of his steel armor, turned into a molten ember that slowly shimmered above the sand they were on–it growled at Suna. How did it even survive that…
And Suna recognized the reason. Black dots mottled the body of the Undead. A spell Suna still hadn’t figured out yet; he was still unsure how to awaken it.
Drowfication consumed the final Shieldnite. It slashed down on Suna; sword rushed at an incredible pace. Suna blocked it with his Umbralline. It was strong and hewed at Suna over and over again. He was forced on the back foot, giving ground to make sure he still had plenty of space to dodge.
Sweat beaded down on Suna’s brows. He quickly glanced at the cabin. They might have taken too long.
As another strike was about to aim at his neck, Suna rushed back with Gale Backstep, dodging it completely. He switched Umbralline for his Spell Bow and an Emberwood Arrow. Suna propelled himself up and aimed straight at the cabin again.
As he was about to release the bright arrow, something tugged at his feet, pulling him—causing the arrow to launch in a complete miss–destroying a palm tree, skewering it into two.
Heat blossomed by Suna’s right ankle–he looked up to see a whip of light extended, and yanked his body. Air rushed, and the Shieldnite formed another sword with its left hand and pointed it at Suna's approaching body.
He gritted his teeth–building Wind Veil on both of his arms. Suna blasted the spell down and forced his body to jerk in sudden motion. He crashed into the ground in a rolling heap. His shoulder complained, but Suna quickly drew Umbralline as he stood. The razor was about to pull him again. However, Suna carved away the spell with his sword, cutting it completely.
Suna huffed, watching the Lash return to the Shieldnite. He reached down to don his Brimhat. His Grave Vine quivered had lost some of its arrows. Suna spotted the arrows lying around, that was such a waste.
The Undead rushed at him again, and Suna cursed under his breath.
He quickly did another Gale Backstep and aimed straight at the Undead Shieldnite. It kept bolting at him without a care, still holding two white swords.
Suna this time chose to release on quantity rather than quality. He let loose Emberwind after Emberwind, streaking the air between them with sizzling heat. The Undead bulled through the first three, and one Arrow lodged straight on the Shieldnite's collarbone, blasting it back in an explosion. The Undead reoriented itself and crashed both of its swords on the last two Emberwind.
But, Suna was not done. He stood his ground, letting his passive work inside. And Suna barrages the Undead Shieldnite with hails of flame. His hand thrummed, manifesting the spell arrow, over and over. He erupted the area around the Shieldnite in a swirl of ember and wind.
Suna kept going, intending to take down the creature as fast as possible. Steel kept crackling, and they sizzled, disintegrating upon the overwhelming heat he had caused.
Smoke churned around the Shieldnite, covering it like a cloak.
Suna, not wanting to wait, ran forward.
With his Gale Bow, he slammed away the smoke. Revealing a ruptured Shieldnite, no longer able to hold the green lantern as it now lay on the floor.
The Shieldnite fell on its knees. Its white neck-long hair burning, and its eye charred with black remains. The Drowfication was still ongoing, keeping the creature alive somehow. It tried to lift its hand, but was unable to do so. Suna drew Umbralline and thrust deep into the creature's throat.

He kicked down the Hulk, letting it collapse backward, not into the Green Lantern.
[Lantern of The Dead] [Mystic]—What a gracious gift from the necromancer… This lantern shall light the path for Dua, it shall work soul and use it properly—for the necromancer's purpose—shape life into a weapon, and use them to bring death and undeath, everything is for the necromancer's wishes.
Suna reached down, touching the green lantern, which was topped by a dark steel that reminded him of night. Its body glowed with a strong green glow. Maybe he should have left it, but if he can use it…
When Suna touched it, a collision of magic prickled his fingertip. Pyreflame consumed away the lantern in a sudden jerk. Suna stepped back. The bluish flame eagerly erupted and tore through the green lantern like a hungry beast.
The Pyre Flame rose, as if it had been awakened in a millennium of sleep. Suna shielded himself with his cloak, and he focused his Brimhat to keep the sudden eruption of blue flame away from him.

Suna let out a small shake of his head at this sudden… What should he even call it?
“Interesting,” Suna muttered, still unsure what to think of it, this Pyre Flame, this power still needs a lot of figuring out. Not that Suna could currently use it for anything but a shield. But… He grinned; this was welcome.
Suna removed Mana potions, only three of them, and he decided to drink them all in one go. Now its time to confront the Undead Lantern Mistress.
