"Nezekiri, for now, I'll get you crew quarters. When I have more time, I'll get you something on a higher deck. Now, follow me." Anibeli said as she exited.

"I will explain what this ship does and it's purpose in the Berekel house, as I... honestly have no idea what you can do. So, I will explain things, and you can decide what you will do. Is that ok?" She turned and looked at me.

"Perfectly acceptable, Shipmistriss." I say, teasingly. She smirks and hits me with the back of her hand.

"Enough with that. That's for formal settings. Anyhow, let me explain. This ship, is a skirmisher. It is fast, nimble, and specialized. It shoots torpedoes, and ducks away. When the enemy's shields drop, we are equipped with boarding torpedoes, which we can launch to attempt to cripple or capture another ship." She said.

"In regular, day to day activities, we guard our merchants and occasionally scout ahead. We occasionally dock at stations for trade, relaxation, and repair and resupply. Same with planets, same deal. Now-"

"I know what I will do." I say, cutting her off.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

  "Oh?"

I turn to her, and kneel, lowering my head. "Anibeli Berekel, allow this faithless one to lead your soldiers to cold war, to herald your will as if it was my own. I am unworthy of your consideration, yet still I beg for honorable purpose." I said

I was serious. I tone was dead, devoid of all life. I was purposeless. I had killed my lord, justified or not. It was wrong. In necrontyr culture, the lower classes served to rase their lords to greater heights. And while deathmarks like myself were a bit more then the lesser castes, we were no different. We served our lords, loyally, until our death.

I had failed once. I was justified in my actions, I thought, and yet I failed. So... I must find a new lord. And who better then one I trust? We knew little of each other, in truth. But... she came for me. That... That was enough.

"Nezekiri, please, get up. It isn't funny." She chucked awkwardly.

My head touched the floor, and I spoke again, tone dead and lifeless.

"Honored lady, my lord is dead. I am masterless. This can not be. You, are my choice. Deny or accept." I state.

She stutters, and states hesitantly. "I... I accept? Please get up?" Her voice squeaks.

I stomp as I get to my feet, and look her in the eyes. I bow at 90 degrees, and intone. "My lady, your rule is absolute. Until the day stars fail and beyond, I serve loyally. Your will, is my purpose. Your words are truth. All you gaze upon is yours if you but will it. This, and more beyond. For I serve until eternity crumbles."

"P-please rise, my friend, please!" She hugs me, and I straightened. "I accept, now enough of that! By the emperor, what is wrong with you?! Are you OK?!" She shook me ineffectually.

I pat her on the head as gently as I could manage, and speak. "I have life, once more. I am complete. Now, tell me, Honored Lady, where may I fulfill my duties?"
