Prologue Volume One

  Prologue:

Beware the girl with Silver hair that seemed to be blessed by the moon whose gaze was full of Crimson. She wishes for nothing more than to live in peace; disturb this peace and you may find yourself facing a disaster just as terrible if not worse than even Eldon Vesh. Hunt her if you dare but make sure to not miss if you ever wish to survive.

Those were the words the Cardinal of Time received from The Goddess of Time the same night a young girl was born.

The baby’s mother looked down at her daughter in disgust. The girl's silver hair contrasted with her own black, her albino skin opposed her own dark brown, and the crimson eyes that looked back into her own dark eyes made her sick to her stomach. She gave birth to a monster.

Feeling a small amount of fear, the woman placed her hand on the child's chest and waited. Thankfully she could feel a heartbeat. The woman felt a large weight lift off her shoulders when she confirmed she didn’t give birth to a Vampire. Still, that didn’t change the fact she was holding a baby monster.

Yet despite her disgust, the new mother couldn’t bring herself to kill the small girl in her arms.

‘She’s still my child.’ She thought bitterly.

She looked out the window of the Inn she was staying at. It was raining. She felt the weather was appropriate for her current mood, as she got up and headed towards the room's exit. She needed to get rid of the girl in her arms sooner rather than later.

Slipping into the dark stormy night, the woman ran down the street looking for a suitable place to abandon her child. Preferably a place far away from where she was currently staying. Ran poured down from the heavens, and water splashed with every step she took. Yet the moon still peaked out from behind the dark clouds as if to watch her actions.

  She shuddered at that thought.

Eventually she saw light coming from a building. The soft yellow glow of the light crystal inside made it easy for her to see the interior. There she saw a woman cleaning up a store front. It was a bakery. The young woman couldn’t be older than eighteen.

Not that it mattered to her, she walked over to the door and tried to pull it open. It was locked. She placed her child down on the ground and gave three hard knocks on the door before turning and running away.

The woman never looked back. If that young woman inside the store took her child to care for or not didn’t matter. As far as she was concerned, she did the bare minimum.

She’ll leave to continue living her life.
