Vol.6 Ch.328 Getting Their First Kills.

Sir George along with Sir Richard, Lady Rachel, and Sir Dean were getting the new recruits from the orphanage ready for their first day training.

The 24 children were dressed in new leather armor, and were wielding wooden weapons. They were standing at attention as they were told.

"You lot are very lucky indeed to be here. For your life is about to change. Many can only dream about becoming a Maja Warrior. And this is a dream that will come true for the ones who are willing to work for it," Sir George procimed as he watched the children practicing their swings with their wooden weapons.

"But this life isn't without its perils. We have many enemies that wish for our Kingdom's destruction. And it is because of these enemies that we will train you to become the finest warriors the world has ever seen," Sir George continued as he fixed one kid's stance.

Sid was swinging his wood sword with ease. He still couldn't believe how his life had done a 180 since Rya showed up at the Orphanage. First she did a miracle in healing his missing leg and then she used her artifact to see what level his mana vein was. And to his complete shock, he has a Demi-God vein. Sid had gone from outcast, to having a new life ahead of him.

Even the kids that ignored him and made fun of him were now being nice. Though a couple older boys were still jealous of him. But they didn't say anything as he was one of the few who were hand picked by the Princess to become a Maja Warrior.

The only thing that he was missing was Mary and her going on about her fairy tail stories, and he missed seeing his best friend and crush, Eine.

'Haah...I hope Eine is doing okay. This was the first time I missed having breakfast and lunch with her. Or maybe she forgot about me,' Sid thought as he swung his wooden sword.

"Sid! Focus on your swings!" Sir George yelled out as he saw the boy was distracted.

Sid blinked and turned red as the rest of the children ughed. "Sorry, Sir George," he replied.

"That's okay. But a wandering mind is a sure-fire way to get yourself killed. Keep your head in the game," Sir George lectured.

"Yes, Sir," Sid nodded as he went back to practicing his swings.

And so the new squires had spent their morning working on their swordsmanship. They learned basic stances and strikes, and they practiced them over and over again until their arms and legs ached.

In the afternoon, they were almost finished with the st sparring session for the day when a voice interrupted their training.

"That's enough, cadets!" Sir Richard said as he stepped forward, "At attention! We have guests."

Sid along with a few other boys and girls were trying to catch their breaths.

  "Yes, sir!"

Sid wiped the sweat from his brow and stood at attention.

The other Royal Knights who were practicing on the other training grounds stopped as well and quickly when into attention as they were surprised to see who was coming toward them.

Sid along with a couple others gasped as they saw the Queen of Fiafyr, Princess Rya, and a few other noblewomen walking toward them.

The doors to the command center, which was attached to the barracks, opened up and several knights came out, all dressed in their armor. General Dougs was in the front, leading the group. He hurried over to the Queen and saluted her.

  "Welcome, Your Majesty."

  The Queen nodded.

"What brings you to the barracks today?"

"Well, you have to ask, Rya. She was the one who wanted to come here," the Queen chuckled.

General Dougs turned his gaze towards the Princess, "Your Highness."

"You know when I said I have my Golems bring over some monsters to help speed up their development process," Rya smiled.

The general looked at Rya for a long hard second before replying, "You work fast, Midy... But we don't want to have children go through Mana Rush, no?"

"Of course not. That's why I'm only going to allow them to sy two monsters for every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, for this first month. That should get them to the point where they can practice Maja techniques. Unless you have a different idea?"

General Dougs could only smile at her. "You are making my life easier, Princess Rya."

"Well, don't get too compcent. Otherwise, what are you going to do if I'm gone?" Rya smirked.

The general burst out in a hearty ugh, "Indeed, you are right."

"Good. Now then, fifty of my golems will be here in 15 minutes. Get the kids ready."

  "As you command, Midy."

General Dougs motioned for the squires to gather up.

Sir George, Sir Richard, Lady Rachel, and Sir Dean, all got the kids to gather in the center of their training field.

Sid kept gncing over at all the noblewomen. He and the rest of the kids have never seen so many highborn women before.

They were wearing nice dresses, jewelry, and expensive shoes. Some had even had maids or servants who carried rge handbags or umbrels.

The children all felt intimidated by their presence, especially since they knew recognized a few of them already. That being Rya, Nieren, and Lady Saffron.

The kids all looked at one another, feeling the tension in the air. But Sid couldn't help but stare at the green haired Wood Elf. He couldn't help but admire how pretty she was.

'Damn... I wonder if Eine will look like her when she grows up—huh?'

Sid noticed that a Auburn hair girl poking head out from behind Yuliana and she was looking at Sid. When their eyes met, she immediately hide back.

'What the? Who was she? Why did she seem familiar?'

Before Sid could think about it any further, a boy named Evan nudged him.

"Psst... Sid? Did you see that girl that was just peeking out from behind that Wood Elf?"

  "Yeah..."

  "Was that Eine?"

Sid thought Evan was pulling his leg until Eine poked her head out again and stared at him.

When he saw her face, he couldn't deny it. But she looked so different now, it was almost as if she transformed into a princess.

"Wow..." Sid muttered while staring at her.

He was trying to figure out why she looked so different now. He couldn't help but compare the two versions of Eine, the one that he knew and the one in front of him.

Sid's face reddened. 'Damn... How is she so beautiful?'

As if she could read his mind, her cheeks blushed a rosy pink.

Rya was watching this unfold, and she couldn't help but smirk at Eine's shyness.

"You should go talk with your friends," Rya whispered.

Eine didn't say anything and just hid her face behind her mother.

The kids could hear Rya whisper to Eine, and the boys felt even more awkward than before.

'Oh goddess! But they can see my ears! I can't go out there. P-Plus, Sid looks so much more cooler now with his rugged features!' Eine thought to herself.

'Damn... why is Eine so pretty? I mean, she was always pretty, but I didn't know she was this pretty!' Sid couldn't help but blush.

Eine whispered back to Rya, "I-I can't! They don't want to speak to me..."

  "Why do you say that?"

"I don't know? Just will, okay? Can I just stay here please?"

"Well... No," Rya said as she gently pushed Eine out into the open.

Eine's face was as red as a tomato and her knees were shaking.

She could feel all the eyes on her, but the only one that mattered was Sid's.

She didn't have the confidence to look him in the eye, and instead just stared at the floor.

Rya smiled and she channeled her mana into to ground. Before Eine knew what hitter both her feet got embraced with dirt and then she started sliding across the floor.

"Whoa! Sister!? Stop!" Eine yelled, feeling betrayed as she was flying towards Sid and his friends.

"Eine!? I got you," Sid yelled out as the Half-Elf was failing her arms out as she was being slide to them.

  "Sid? Help meeee!"

Sid reached out and caught her by the arms, stopping her in pce.

Rya smirked and stopped her spell.

Eine was in Sid's arms for almost a minute before finally recovering and turned around to yell at her sister.

"Rya, that was not cool. Why'd you do that? I thought you were going to let me stay here, not send me over like that!"

Rya giggled and said, "You would never have done it yourself, so I decided to help you along."

"That's not the point! Mother!? Why are you ughing at me!?"

"Because you looked like a cute little bird fpping its wings," Yuliana giggled.

"Grrr! This is so humiliating!" Eine groaned to herself while Sid was in shock.

"Eine? Did you call her mother?" He asked her quietly.

Eine turned around and remembered that he was there and his hand was still holding onto hers.

Her heart skipped a beat, now that she was this close to Sid.

"Y-Yeah. Her name is Princess Yuliana and she adopted me, so I have a mother now."

Sid was stunned. Out of everyone from the orphanage Eine was the one that had the best life, so he wasn't expecting this.

"I'm happy for you, Eine. You deserve a family that loves you."

Eine felt her face getting red again, "Thank you. So... How are you? I see your are swinging around a sword and stuff. Is knight training stuff, right?"

Sid blushed and said, "Uh, yeah. I'm a squire and I'm working on getting my sword skills up."

  "I see. It suits you."

  "Thanks."

  "Eine?"

  "Yeah, Sid?"

  "You look... Beaut—GAH!"

"Eine!? Are you a Princess now or something!? You're like wearing some crazy gown and your ears look so cool! Why did you hide this from us?" Evan knocked over Sid to speak to Eine.

  "Huh? Well..."

"Hey, Eine!? When I become a knight. Do you want to go out on a date with me," asked a 15-Year-Old boy named Dirk.

Eine was surprised by the attention she was getting.

"Uh, I... That's very sweet, Dirk. But I'm—"

"Going on a date with me, Dirk!" said Chris, an 14-Year-old boy.

Sid had had enough as he was getting pissed off.

He grabbed Chris's arm and twisted causing him to do a half twist and sm into the floor.

"Arrghhh! Owww!" Chris screamed out in pain.

Dirk tried to push Sid away, but he grabbed him and smmed his head into the ground, and locked him against Chris's body.

"What the hell was that for, Sid," yelled Dirk.

"She's not a toy! If she wants to go on a date with someone then let her decide! Otherwise I'm going to have to teach you all a lesson," Sid roared while applying more pressure on the hold.

"OWWWW! We get it! You win, so just let us go," cried Chris.

"GAH! DAMMIT! How are you so strong," Dirk whined.

"Okay, I'm going to let go. But don't make me regret it," Sid growled.

"We won't," the two boys whimpered.

Eine watched the whole thing as she couldn't help but be more attracted to Sid.

'I can't believe he's changed this much,' thought Eine as her heart raced. She always loved his kind side but this new side of him was amazing.

When Sid finally let them go, the two boys scrambled away from him.

"Are you okay, Eine? They didn't hurt you, did they," asked Sid, looking worried.

"N-No, I'm fine," she replied, blushing.

  "Oh, that's good."

A young 14-year-old girl named Bethany couldn't help but be jealous.

'Ever since Sid got his leg back he's become so... Attractive,' she thought.

Bethany never felt much for Sid in the past, but after watching him fight and grow so much she couldn't help but feel attracted.

  She watched him carefully.

"Alright, you guys! That's enough horsing around! Let's get in line!"

"Yes, Sir George! Right away, Sir!"

They quickly formed two lines. They stood there for five more minutes until Rya's Golems arrived in multiple carriage.

Her Golems would have gotten there quicker if they didn't use the carriages, but she didn't want to freak out to citizens of Tairal having 50 clones of herself running through the streets of the city with alive monsters in their hands.

So, when they made it to the Southern outskirts of the city they grabbed a bunch of hidden carriages from a nearby cave that had been created by Rya and used them to transport the monsters.

When the carriages arrived, the students lined up.

  "Good afternoon everyone," greeted Rya.

  "Good afternoon," replied the students.

"Today, we will be letting you all sy a couple of monsters to help grow your mana veins," she said with a smile.

The students started looking around nervously.

Sid gnced over at Eine, "She wants us to fight monsters already? But we barely started training."

Eine just shrugged her shoulders, "Sister said that—"

"Don't worry, the monsters we're using won't be able to fight back. So you don't have to worry about being hurt," Rya reassured them.

The Dark Elf then motioned to the carriages and the fps doors opened, showing 300 Willow Wasps all inside each one. The golems had removed the wings from the Willow Wasps as their wings had been damaged from the fight.

Rya's clones then began grabbing the Willow Wasps from the carriages and held them in their hands like they were nothing. The wasps tried biting and stinging the golems but they were unfazed by the attacks.

Sid stared wide-eyed at the creatures. He had never seen anything like them before.

'Are those things real?' thought the boy, looking shocked.

He'd remember Mary talking about monsters in the Southern forests in some Adventurer's Guild Guide Book and he had seen a drawing of them. They looked pretty accurate to what was in front of him.

  "Wow, that's amazing," whispered Sid.

He was awestruck by the creatures before him.

"S-So we're going to be sying these things?" A kid at the front of the line asked.

"That's right, boy. Now take this dagger and slice off the abdomen. Watch out for its exoskeleton though," Sir George instructed the student.

"O-Okay," the kid replied nervously as he took a 3 inch dagger from Lady Rachel.

R9 walked up to the kid and it held the wasp in pce exposing the weak point on its abdomen. The kid swallowed nervously before stabbing the dagger into the monster.

"Ugh!" excimed the kid as blood spttered all over his face.

"Oye!? Looks like we got a gusher," Sir George said with a grin.

  "Sir George?" Rya spoke up.

"Huh, oh yeah. Sorry, Lady Rya. I'm just reminiscing about my first kill. Hahahaha!" Sir George said while rubbing the back of his head.

The Willow Wasp succumbed to its wound and died. The boy who syed it thought he was going to be sick but then he felt a soothing sensation inside his mana vein. The mana that the creature gave him felt warm and pleasant.

"I-I did it?... I DID IT! CAN I SLAY ANOTHER ONE!?" The boy excimed excitedly.

"Once the others get there first kill, then you can get your second kill," Rya responded.

"But way not now? I feel like it will be eas—"

"Don't let the sensation of absorbing Mana get the better of you. It's never as good as the early days," Sir George interjected.

"Yes, sir. My apologies," the boy apologized and nodded his head.

"Now to the back of one of the lines with you!" Sir George ordered.

The boy quickly ran to the back of the line behind one of the girls.

"Hey, how did it feel?" The girl asked him.

"Amazing. I've never felt so energized before. I want more. I can't wait to get more," the boy replied with a grin.

"Wow, it must be great. I'm jealous," the girl pouted.

"You'll get your chance. Don't worry," the boy smiled at her.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it," the girl said smiling back.

"Alright, James was it? You're next," Sir George called out.

James gulped nervously but he steeled himself and walked towards A2. And with slight hesitation, James sliced the abdomen off the wasp. He was able to kill it on his first try.

"YES! I did it!" James yelled with excitement.

The mana that the wasp provided felt so good to him. The warmth from the mana made his heart rate speed up.

"Alright, alright, everyone settle down. You will get another chance ter. Jill was it? Don't just stand there and wait, go and grab your first kill," Sir George instructed.

Jill nodded her head and followed suit like all the other and she had a simir reaction as her cheeks became rosy when her mana vein absorbed the mana from the wasp.

"Ahem. Alright, next!" Sir George called out.

The kids kept doing their task and Rya kept an eye on them to make sure that two monsters for their first time wasn't too much for them to handle. Frankly, the two she worried about the most was Sid and Eine, since they were the only two with the higher level Mana Veins and were more susceptible to Mana Lust.

"They are a lot more energetic than they were before," Rianna whispered to Ysandra.

"It's the mana, Your Majesty. It is a little... Exciting. When getting your first few kills," Ysandra whispered back.

"Oh, I see..." Rianna whispered with a hint of jealousy.

"Well, I think Lady Rya going to let you experience what few noblewomen have ever experienced," Ysandra commented.

  "You think so?" Rianna asked.

  "Yes... Be patient," Ysandra smiled.

  "Okay," Rianna nodded her head.

And so the women watched as the new recruits slowly got their first kills under their belts.
