“This…,” when the Supreme Alpha died with just one of his attacks, Datu was dumbfounded.
“I told you he was just a paper tiger.” Lying flat on the ground, Solomon finally relaxed.
Today, they spent many hours finding the hiding place of the Territory Boss, the Supreme Alpha.
When they did, they were attacked by 15 Level 5 Howlers along with the Territory Boss, the Level 6 Howler.
Everything was going well until the party members started noticing that no matter how much they attacked the Supreme Alpha, he didn't seem to be getting injured at all.
The arrows had no effect, nor did the enchanted bullets.
With no other choice, the three party leaders themselves headed into battle. Losing the support of their leaders, the party members struggled a little while dealing with the Level 5 Elite Howlers.
But as one or two Level 5 Elite Howlers died, they regained their lost momentum.
Meanwhile, when Datu, Ricardo, and Solomon's most powerful attacks failed, they entered a fear-induced trance for a moment, the same one they felt when facing a monster for the first time.
When they came back to their senses, someone had already lost their life.
From there, things started getting worse. No matter how hard they hit the Supreme Alpha, it showed no reaction whatsoever.
It could even occasionally break away from the fight, kill a human, and come back to continue toying with them.
As the fight continued, more and more hunters kept dying while the Supreme Alpha seemed unscathed. By the time all the Level 5 Elite Howlers were killed, they had lost a total of eleven members.
It was during this time that Solomon noticed that the Supreme Alpha wasn't as untouchable as it seemed. If he was so strong that their attacks had no effect, why did he always dodge?
The rest is history, as they had already killed the Supreme Alpha and cleared the territory.

[Congratulations to parties Cross, Blade, and Aqua on clearing the territory. Rewarded with:
1: 100 merit points
2: 1 Bloodline Potion
3: 1 Golden Treasure Chest]
“So much…” When Ricardo heard the notification, he was surprised. He never thought that the reward for clearing the Howlers' territory would be so great.
“Death count. Can someone tell me the death count?”
Along with the rewards, all the participating members in the raid were also healed to full health.
“Sir, we have lost a total of eleven members.”
No one was happy about the rewards; instead, they were deeply saddened by the loss of their friends.

After returning to the camp, Zhen went to report today's kill count.
“Did something go wrong?” Seeing the sorrowful look on the manager's face, Zhen felt something might have gone wrong with the raid.
“It's nothing. Hand me the storage bag.” Forcing himself to remain calm, the manager continued counting the merits of the parties.
“Any news? Did they kill the Territory Boss or not?”
“From the look on the manager's face, it seems things didn't go as planned.”
“I was pinning all my hope on this raid.”
“If the raid had failed, we wouldn't be sitting here, right? They probably succeeded; however, the casualties wouldn't be small.”
Just as all the parties were busy speculating about the outcome of the fight between the three parties and the Supreme Alpha, Datu, Ricardo, and Solomon entered the camp with heavy steps.
“Everyone gathered around. In half an hour, we are going to announce the share of the spoils.” Guiding the trio to the main tent, the manager announced to everyone.
Half an hour went by, and everyone was impatiently waiting for the trio to come out.
“We have reviewed everyone's contribution, and now I am going to announce the share of the spoils.” As the trio came out of the main tent, Solomon took the stage and began reading out the rewards.
“In first place, the Fire Bird Party hunted a total of 6,733 Howlers. Aside from the 1 percent share of the spoils, we have decided to add an extra reward of 500 gold coins and a D-rank Skill Book of your choosing.
In second place, the Crimson Party hunted a total of 5,897 Howlers and will get 300 gold coins along with an E-rank Skill Book.
In third place, the Monster Hunters Party hunted a total of 5,323 Howlers and will receive an extra 200 gold coins along with an E-rank Skill Book.” Solomon announced the top three parties with the most kills.
“Now for the spoils. Aside from the Ki Well, we have also discovered a Ki Crystal Mine inside the territory. It will be divided the same way. Our three parties will take 75 percent, while the remaining 25 percent of the mine will be divided among you all.”
When Solomon told them that there was also a Ki Crystal Mine in the Howlers' territory, all the party leaders’ eyes lit up with excitement.
“We are willing to buy a share of the Ki Well for 5,000 gold coins and a share of the Ki Crystal Mine for 1,000 gold coins. Anyone willing to sell, come forward.”
As these words left Solomon's mouth, 20 out of the 25 party leaders came forward to sell their shares.
“I originally thought it was only going to be 2,000 gold coins.”
“6,000 gold coins! I can finally have my fourth gift.”
“I can do so much with this money.”
Although, in the long term, holding on to these shares would earn a lot more money, who could be certain of the future?
As others happily discussed what to do with the massive amount of money they were about to get, Zhen too started thinking about what he was going to do with so much money.
“First, we need to buy a storage bag. Too much time is wasted hiding the carcasses and then waiting for the workers to arrive.” After getting a taste of the storage bag, Zhen wasn't willing to go back to transportation workers.
“After that, helping Kenji get his third gift is also best. He can easily kill Level 3 monsters. With another gift, he will get much stronger. I can save the remaining money and be on the lookout for materials for my fourth gift.” Zhen mumbled under his breath as he followed the other party leaders into the main tent.
“Let's go back.” Returning with a small pouch filled with gold coins, Zhen took Kenji, Anon, and Joon and sprinted back to the city.
Although no one would dare attack the people who had just helped the top three parties of the city clear a territory, Zhen wasn't willing to take any chances.
For 6,000 gold coins, some might be willing to take the risk.
