“Here's the list.” As the ball of light finished speaking, a transparent window appeared before Kenji’s eyes.
[Ironwood Seed (F): 1 Silver Coin
Blood Essence (E): 5 Silver coins per ml]
“This…” Looking at the price of Ironwood seeds and Blood Essence, Kenji was surprised that it didn’t cost so much.
For [Peak Physique], he needed 10 Ironwood seeds and only 10 drops of Blood Essence, which should be equal to 1 ml.
Calculating the cost, he just needed 15 silver coins. Unfortunately, he only had 8 silver coins, still 7 short.
“These… Ironwood seeds, they… wouldn’t go bad… if not used for… a week, right?” Kenji planned to buy 8 Ironwood seeds first and then work extra hours for a whole week to gather enough money for the rest of the Ironwood seeds and the Blood Essence.
“If not watered 7 times a day, Ironwood seeds can dry up. However, Blood Essence can be stored for years, if not taken out of the tube.” As the ball of light replied, Kenji felt a little disappointed.
After all, it wasn’t possible for him to water Ironwood seeds 7 times a day. However, upon hearing the latter half of the sentence, Kenji’s eyes lit up and he immediately said,
“Then… I would like to… buy 1 ml of… Blood Essence.”
“Okay, please follow me.” As the ball of light spoke, Kenji’s surroundings changed and he appeared in a bustling lobby.
“Today is the day. I will finally be able to buy all the materials and undergo my third heavenly trial.”
Just as Kenji noticed the change in his surroundings, an excited voice sounded as a man magically materialized before his very eyes.
Without bothering to look at anyone, the man immediately headed toward the reception.
“Doesn't that look like Amare? So he finally gathered enough money for the materials.”
“Damn it, we should hurry up. We’re already lagging behind Cross and Blade Party. We can't let Amber overtake us.”

“It seems another level 3 hunter is about to be born.”
“When will I be able to undergo my third heavenly trial and acquire a D-rank Gift.”
The sudden appearance of the man excited the already bustling lobby.
“Follow me.” As Kenji was about to wait and look around, the tiny ball of light hovering over his shoulder spoke.
Following the tiny ball of light, Kenji arrived at the reception, where the small ball of light entered a device placed on the desk and soon a small bill popped up.
Taking the bill, the Fairy got up from her small chair placed on top of the desk and headed toward the back.
In about a minute, the Fairy returned with a tube in her hands.
“That will be 5 silver coins.” Handing the tube over to Kenji, the Fairy said.
Paying the bill, Kenji left the Sky Treasure House as he didn’t have any business there. And another reason was that he felt out of place.
The whole lobby was filled with Level 1 and 2 hunters, and he, as a Level 0 hunter, had no job being there.
After putting the tube containing the blood essence carefully in his pocket, Kenji headed toward the housing complex.
Entering the living room, Kenji saw the hunters of his housing complex laying around, recovering their lost Ki.
Unlike other hunting parties that could afford to hire people to carry back the spoils, the hunters of Red Complex were living from hand to mouth, as Rex was too focused on saving enough money to buy materials for his third heavenly trial.
Silently placing 50 copper coins on the table, Kenji headed toward his room.
“This kid…” Looking at Kenji’s behavior, Rex felt his anger rising, but he controlled himself.
A few years ago, he was similar to Kenji, and his weak personality caused him to lose the person he loved the most. Since then, he began despising weak people, especially ones with timid personalities like Kenji’s.
Returning to his room, Kenji carefully put away the small tube containing the blood essence and then started breathing Ki to increase his reserves.
Today he only spent an hour increasing his reserves, so now he was planning on absorbing Ki for a full three hours. For Kenji, who never hunted a monster and absorbed its residue Ki, this was the only way to become stronger.
Soon, three hours passed by.
“Huff… puff… finally done.” Forming the final cycle and letting his Source Ki devour it, Kenji sat up while catching his breath.
[Ki: 239]
Although he had been lying on the bed for three hours, the process of forming complete Ki cycles had his body in a tense state the whole time.
After breathing enough air, Kenji lay back on the bed and relaxed his muscles.
Half an hour later, he got up, washed his face, and headed toward the kitchen. Filling his stomach and washing the dishes, Kenji returned and went to sleep.

Waking up the next day, Kenji ate something and repeated his daily chores. After finishing, he immediately headed toward the city gate.
Arriving at the notice area, Kenji looked around for Neo but wasn't able to find him.
“There you are, Kenji, right?” Just as Kenji was about to continue looking for Neo, he heard a familiar voice.
Turning around, he saw one of the Silver Party workers who had worked alongside him transporting carcasses.
“Right… You are?” Looking at the young man who was just a few years older than him, Kenji couldn't recall his name.
“It's Marconi. Anyway, now I am in charge of guiding workers to the hunting grounds.” Marconi introduced himself.
The Silver Party only has three workers on contract, who are also members of the party. All the rest are freelance workers like Kenji, who work for anyone willing to pay.
Yesterday, Neo talked with Ramses and finally got rid of transportation duty.
However, since no one has done transportation duty for more than a week, everyone was hesitant about taking the job.
But when Ramses heard that Amare had bought all the materials for the third heavenly trial, he immediately promoted one of the contracted workers, Marconi, into an intern of the party and put him on transportation duty.
After all, it was a waste to keep a tank like Neo out of the team if they wanted to earn money faster.
“I am willing to keep you as a worker, if you give me 20 percent of your earnings.” It hadn’t even been a day since Marconi took over transportation duty, but he had already started abusing his power.
